Did some horse trading the few weeks, trading some lower tier pieces for a few higher tier. Finished the XC build [for now] grabbed a Fowler Vanta 9 Gen 1 that was sent in and updated. Gave up my MPA DS9 Hybrid for it. So I traded back into a DS9 Hybrid TC with aggressive steel frame. And received my Kimber 2K11 back from Billet Armory from having them do a V-6 porting job.
And here she is with a few of my favorites .
Atlas [EGW] internals , Red dirt trigger [I have an Atlas on the way , but it doesn't com in until next week] Atlas Alpha conversion kit. Dark Forge rose gold kit. Just debating on adding porting to top it off. Also trying to find a palm swell right side grip and left hand step uo grip inserts. Very happy with how it turned out.
Project XC
This project started out by trying to see if my Red Dirt Staccato trigger would fit in my MPA, one thing lead to another and...well...
One of my latest pick ups and 2 new Spydercos .
Masterpiece Arms DS9 Hybrid , Spyderco PM2 Tanto Blade HQ exclusive , Spyderco Tenacious Tanto Blade HQ exclusive.
Took out my new to me DS9 Hybrid today. The gun came with a comp magwell as well as a carry magwell. I installed the comp magwell, and found that Staccato 20 round mags would not seat correctly with the comp magwell. So I loaded up a few 17 rounders , both staccato, a few Checkmates, and Kimber mags. Got to the range and only one of the Kimber mags would work. None of the others would feed nor seat correctly. I'm thinking it is due to using the comp magwell?
Second issue, I installed a SRO on the already installed optics plate , however I ran out of elevation adjustment and it continued to shoot low. This specific SRO has been mounted on numerous 2011s Zevs, Glocks and just about anything else you could think of, and it's never been close to running out of adjustment.
Throughout the day it had a few FTF that did seem to improve as the day went on, and I was able to finally get a second mag to partially work.
It was cleaned and lubed ...even a little on the wet side. Ammo used was Blazer Brass 115 and 124. Very experienced shooter [2 of us] . Input? Thoughts?
4.5 " HD x comp with full size grip ?
Looking to find a few places that sell controls [takedown levers/safeties/mag releases/grip screws, magwells etc.] that are already finished /coated.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've already used Atlas , Infinity ,EGW as well as a few others. Or am I better off sourcing the parts and then finding a coater? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
And how they look/fir with the Grit Grips frame and magwell.
Can't give it away. And had the same issue with my PDP Match steel frame.

Trying to figure out what the value is on my V1 Hypercomp. All stock , both compact and X grip. With magwell. Thoughts?
