2006 Highlander burned about a quart of oil after 6000 miles.

Hi everyone, I own and 2006 Toyota Highlander with 180k miles. Just did my oil change last week and it looked like it was missing about a quart of oil. Any cause for concern? Or just typical old car stuff? I see a small leak where I park the car but nothing major. So must be burning some? I know I’m about 1000 miles over the oil change but was very busy.

Legal Power Mods in California for the 2V?

Hi everyone, considering getting a new edge but am wondering if anyone has experience adding power in California with all the smog bs? I’m pretty set in stone that this is the car I’ll be buying but would be pointless if I can’t add power. Any suggestions or legal kits that are CARB legal?

Convince me to get 2V.

So I’ve been saving up for a 2013 S197 but the more I look into it the less impressed I get. Sure there more modern but no matter how many times I hear the exhaust note on the 5.0 I’m not impressed. I keep telling myself I like the sound but in reality I’m lying to myself. The 2V sounds way more aggressive and has this indescribable harmony note to it. So at the end of the day I’m sitting here thinking if a new edge is a better option or if I should just continue on my plan to get the S197. The power of the S197 is more intriguing but then again for a clean one could be double to triple the price of a clean new edge. Any one else have some thoughts on why the new edge is a better fit?

Opinions on the New Rustler 4x4 VX3?

Considering pre-ordering the new Rustler 4x4 with the new VX3 system. I’ve seen some reviews online saying the motor is a flaw because it’s an open can design so debris will probably build up and the new transmitter is kinda trash. But the new revised chassis and new body is really intriguing me. Anyone else pick one of these up yet?

First Traxxas Suggestions?

I’m looking at buying my first Traxxas. I’ve owned a slash way back in the day but looking to get back into the hobby again. My budget is about $500-$600 but deciding if I want to get into Nitro before it’s gone or stick with electric? Nitro holds a special place in my heart as that was the first RC I owned. Either way what would be your suggestion on where to start. I preferably want to stay away from the slash or short course trucks and if possible something 4x4.

How to Fix Jumping and throttle on Injora Fat Viper G2?

Just installed the fat viper g2 and it does this really annoying thing where it like jumps and briefly stops when coming off obstacles. Also the throttle is annoying because once you go past a certain point it just jumps. Any suggestions?

Brushless Motor Opinions?

I run a small YouTube channel and am considering grabbing this motor to make a video about and upgrade my F150 High Trail with it. I’ve read mixed reviews and not sure if it’s even worth it. I currently have a stock setup but with the low gear transmission. From what I’ve read a lot of people tend to dislike it with the stock transmission but has anyone actually paired it with the low gear transmission? I honestly think this is where the downfall is and would actually make it into something worth buying if you pair it with the low gears. Any advice or experience with this?

Need help trying to find a way to supplement my wife’s income.

To start things off my wife and I just had a special needs baby and requires multiple therapies every week which is making it hard for my wife to find time to work. I currently work a 7:30-4:30 M-F Job and only bring in about 3k/month but now I’m stuck with trying to figure out how to double that and make another 3k/month. Just looking for any ideas, i honestly might just have to get another job which would absolutely suck but I’m completely stuck. I’ve tried eBay side hustles before and it’s a very up and down thing which I’d like a little stability. Any ideas?

Where to buy replacement parts for SM450 Skid Steer?

Hello, I’m considering getting into this hobby but am wondering if there are any websites with widely available parts for this specific model and other construction equipment? How easily is it to source parts and what commonly breaks on this and other construction equipment?

I don’t think I can stay any longer…need advice

My wife and I have been married for 2 years and just recently had a baby that is 7 months old which makes this incredibly hard. Since being married everything has been on a slow down trend and now with the emotions of having a baby in the mix has dramatically made things worse. We’ve been going to couples therapy now for 10 months and are at a point of make or break and nothing seems to be budging from either side. Small wins here and there but in general very short lived before the next argument.

Now to the parts that are making us grow apart. Her family is way to involved especially her mom, they constantly text each other and call mupltiole times a day. Can’t have any privacy and feels like my wife is never fully commited to me and struggles to live more independently. In the other hand my family is less involved and maybe not involved enough. My wife refuses to do the majority of things with my family and holds deep grudges in things that have been said in the past. The two different family dynamics are very hard to compromise on and it doesn’t help that we literally live next door to her family.

There’s a lot more things but to list a few hanging out with my friends is an issues even if I only go out once a week for two hours it causes drama. She hardly hangs with friends and most of the time I’m at work she’s with her family. I can’t ever go out with family or friends without some sort of push back. It’s nearly impossible to leave the house on time with her involved and every supposed to be fun outing turns into more stress.

There’s more but bottom line I’m unhappy and feel unappreciated in the relationship. I find my self always coming home from work to a handful more things and if I ask for help she gets defensive. Just want a partner who can relax more and is willing to go out and socialize with me without making it a huge ordeal. Any advice?

Anyone running mud tires on a road truck?

I’m looking into getting some bigger tires for my 86 ford ranger but don’t like the look of the all terrain tires. I really want something more aggressive but affordable. I don’t use the truck often and occasionally use it for commuting but usually just for hauling some stuff. What do you think of these tires or do you have any suggestions on budget tires that look aggressive but still ride decently?

Would this truck be easy to wrap?

I’m gunna do some body work on my truck but am slowly realizing painting this thing will be far more expensive than wrapping it by myself. I’ve done a Acura intergra before but it didn’t turn out the best because the front and rear bumpers were a pain. But am I wrong to think this would be easy since it’s almost all flat panels? Only complicated parts I see is the roof drip rails and maybe the tailgate. Drip rails could probably just be painted black and do vinyl around them. What do you think, could a somewhat novice wrap this?

Does anyone actually buy prebuilt custom crawlers?

I’ve been scrolling Facebook marketplace recently and see a lot of people asking outrageous prices for modified crawlers. Some people asking up to $500 just for a gladiator with a brushless system and some injora parts. Seems nuts to me but has anyone actually spent that kind of money on a used custom build?

Has anyone figured a good way to paint or dye the silicone watch bands? Trying to make a customs build but can’t find the right color band so figure I might just have to paint it.
