Psst, Wake Up Babe, I know what you can go as for Halloween

To be clear, I mean a film that isn’t a spoof and also not bogged down in trauma, social commentary or whatever modern horror trends are the soup de jour.
Whether we make comparisons to the funner slashers of the day (Friday part 6, Childs Play 2 & 3) or monster flicks (Tremors, Fright Night, Gremlins), what films have carried the torch for 90 minute fun horror flicks?
For my money, the only real examples I have witnessed are Psycho Goreman (more kidventure/horror comedy) and You’re Next, which is a big stretch comparing to say Jason Lives.
Am I missing any did these movies go the way of the dinosaur?
Or does Supergirl need to just find its audience like Sean said that The Woman King would do in 2022?
