Islam is just the other side of the same coin as Christianity

Hey guys ex Muslim here. I’ve been a lurker of this sub for a little while and from I noticed, so many of the posts made towards Christianity and christians can easily be applied to Islam and Muslims. The reason why I see Islam as the other side of the same coin is because it has almost the same number of followers as Christianity today and is colonial like Christianity. You can even call Islam an Arab man’s spinoff of Christianity cause of so many things like nonbelievers being in hell for eternity, Adam and Eve, etc. I keep telling various ex Christians on TikTok “same thing about Islam” in various posts. Except from my view, I’d argue that Islam is even worse than Christianity cause most women regularly cover up head to toe like how misogynistic is that? And how you have to blindly memorize the Quran in a 1,000+ Arabic dialect and pray to god 5 times a day which makes god even more narcissistic than the one from the bible. These 2 giant Abrahamic cults take up over half of the entire populations planet. I can go on and on all day long about why Islam is essentially Christianity’s cousin. They both enslaved millions of people and erased entire cultures. Sorry if my post can seem a little bit jumbled but like I said, I can go on and on all day long about why Islam and Christianity are just the same coin. Those 2 are the worst offenders when it comes to common criticisms of religion in general. To all of those on this sub thinking about converting to Islam, DON’T!!!

My favorite Hyundais even though I don’t like the brand

As a fan & nerd of every Japanese car brand and doesn’t like Hyundai that much no offense, I actually have a few models that I actually like that I want to share on here. So no one talks about the rare Korea only Aslan which can be easily be mistaken for a Sonata from a distance and I honestly find it more interesting than a Genesis. Then there’s the YF gen Sonata which is nothing too special but imo, has peak and timeless styling of all Sonatas. And the Grandeur model line, the HG and the pre facelift IG are the best looking ones interior and exterior. The facelift and current gen is a little too much for my taste. If you were to ask me what the best era for Hyundai is, it would be mid to late 2010s especially their fluidic sculpture design language. Honestly the current Hyundai designs are becoming way too much

HG Grandeur/Azera (USA)

Hey guys, so as someone who only prefers Japanese cars and despite me not liking Hyundai, there are a few Hyundai models I kinda like and the HG Grandeur aka Azera in the States and other markets, is one of them. In my opinion, I think it’s the best Grandeur gen cause the latest gen is a bit too much from my view. I also like the prefacelift IG Grandeur which I don’t know how many of you guys are familiar with it. These are everywhere in Korea but not that common in the states. This is a pretty clean example and honestly, more interesting to me than a Genesis.

Boston (May 2024)

It’s so unbelievable though that John Hancock center is 50 years old now yet it literally looks like it was completed a few years ago. Super timeless

“Pakistan is the only country that punishes Apostates and that’s way more cultural than religion”. Come on 🤦‍♂️

So this guy literally said that Pakistan is the only country that punishes apostates and that it’s way more cultural than religion. So many Muslim countries can throw you in jail if they know you left the faith and 13 can legally kill you for that. Sharia law allows unaliving of ex Muslims if I’m correct. People who say it’s culture not religion are basically sweeping the bad stuff of Islam under the rug to protect the religions perfect image.

It lowkey bothers me seeing Muslims anywhere

This definitely isn’t a Muslim hate post but I feel like I need to share this feeling on here that I finally found the words to describe it. I live in the United States and for a while even before I left Islam, It would bother me and I’d get weirded out when I see random Muslims out in public such as the park, the store, walking outside, them as customers at my old job, and even in traffic. I’m like “Damn, I can’t believe I’m associated with this kind of people and I wish I never grew up under their religion”. If I never grew up Muslim then I wouldn’t gaf about Muslims even existing. For example if I’m having a nice peaceful time at a park alone and I see a Muslim family arrive I’m like, nope. I love my late afternoon walks but the majority of the times, I would see at least some Muslims and that includes them driving by me. I live in a suburban neighborhood in Florida where Muslims are common since my old mosque is around 2 miles/3km away from my home. One of my city’s neighborhoods not far from me that I actually really like due to how connected to nature it really is but what really irks me is that fact that it’s filled with Muslims and it’s full of countless businesses ran by Arab immigrants. I literally can’t get myself to go there very often cause that would mean that I have to prepare getting bothered by seeing Muslims and being reminded of the fact that I was born in an Arab Muslim family which I really wish I wasn’t. I feel the same feelings when I’m alone and I hear Arabic speakers, which literally makes me wish I could just erase all the Arabic from my brain and understand nothing cause I genuinely dislike that colonial language that much. Let me know if you guys in non Muslim countries get similar weirded out feelings like me whenever you see random Muslims cause I could really use someone to relate to.

Seeing Europeans and other white ppl convert to Islam genuinely disgusts me

Mind you, I’ve always felt that way deep down long before I left this cult. These ppl are basically going all in to Arab culture and they decided to brainwash themselves into this ideology which is always insane to me in my book

Healing from the fear of being pulled back into Islam

Hey guys, 23M who left Islam last year. I’ve been dealing with the fear and anxiety of what if I somehow get pulled back into Islam ever since last March which thankfully I’ve been healing from. Earlier I’ve been feeling the true effects of leaving religion such as some religious trauma and even fear when I see any symbol or phrase relating to Islam. It was so exhausting and I would get anxiety attacks seeing apologist responses and Islamic propaganda. I’ve even been fearing heaven way more than Hell cause I thought it would somehow pull me back into Islam when really it was just grief that I was suppressing because I thought grief would make me want to go back to Islam. I let it all out and thankfully, it didn’t alter my views. Once I let all my grief out, I started feeling better and lighter. I still feel some fear and anxiety left but at least it’s easier for me to be happy and distract myself. I’m dealing with existential dread now though. Lmk if any of you guys went through this similar experience months after leaving Islam

Black Crown Crossovers>>

Crown Crossover type looks very much like a sedan in person. In my opinion, it looks the nicest in black since it masks the black cladding, grille, and the rear black line. For the whole Crown family, my favorite colors are black for Crossover, red for Sport, white for Sedan, and Bronze or blue for Estate.

Staunton Island (Grand Theft Auto III)

Never ceases to amaze me how the skyline is so realistic and clean looking for a game that released in the very early 2000’s

Can’t get over Staunton Islands skyline

Most ppl on this sub are waiting for GTAVI while I’m over here looking at Staunton Islands realistic skyline. I don’t think anyone in the GTA community has ever talked about how surprisingly good it looks for such a very early 2000’s game. I used to just stare at the skyline while locked in Portland as a kid. Imo, the third iteration has the best looking skyline in the whole franchise. The fourth iteration tried way to hard to copy real life Manhattan though
