So I noticed that the prawn drill arm requires the player to hold down the mouse button to use, which is somewhat annoying. Then I noticed you could easily bug it out by bringing up your PDA whilst using the drill arm, then dismissing the PDA, this would magically cause the drill arm to continue to function despite the player no longer holding down the mouse button.

Is there really no official way to make the drill arm operate without holding down the mouse button? Or do we all just bug it out to make it work like we want?

Hi, I'm running Ultramarine 43.

So after some trial and error, I have discovered that the default pdf viewer that Ultramarine comes with (Okular), cannot actually access pdf's if said file is on a network share. It throws the following error:

Could not open smb://[path to pdf].pdf. Reason: Unable to create KIO worker. Unknown protocol 'smb'.

Note: Firefox does not have this issue and can open the network share pdf without a problem.

Is it possible for Ultramarine to switch to a pdf viewer that actually works by default?

Hi, I'm running Ultramarine 43 (Basically Fedora 43).

For some reason I keep hitting this error when trying to open pdf's via a network share. Note this issue only affects pdf's. All other filetypes open without issue.

It's clearly not an issue with the smb protocol as indicated, as otherwise it would affect all network share files (which it doesn't as I said). So for some inexplicable reason, only pdf's hit this error. Note when I manually copy/paste the pdf to my local drive, Ultramarine can open it without issue. So it's not like it's an unknown filetype.

Help?

Edit: Turns out this is an issue with the program "Okular". As opening the exact same network share pdf file in e.g. Firefox, results in the pdf opening without issue. So for some reason Okular cannot access my network shares even though all my other programs can.

SN1. Not sure what's going on. Game is literally unplayable like this.

After learning the ins and outs of base building and getting the schematics I needed, I decided to uproot and move to a new, larger location for my main base. So I know what the lighting is meant to be like. Fast forward to my new, larger base in a new location, but the lighting is half that of my original base and I have no idea what's wrong.

Yes it's powered, no it doesn't have any leaks. I built it on the outside in one go, of course at the time it had no power and was riddled with leaks and water. But I fixed all that and the base computer voice said "yep, all fixed, draining now", and sure enough all the water got pumped out. So I thought, great! Only the base computer never fixed the lighting by bringing it back to regular luminosity.

After moving all my stuff and rebuilding, there's no way I'm gonna go through that process again if it's a bug. I'd rather just uninstall and call it a day. Surely base lighting has nothing to do with its depth, right? My new base is only about 70 metres down. My old one was about 60 metres. So they're practically the same depth. My current hull integrity is over +60.

I haven't changed any of my graphical settings between leaving my old base and building my new one.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: ARRRRRG! I thought I had checked every room, but I was wrong! Turns out there was one room I hadn't connected a ladder to and completely forgot about! Sure enough, it was still compromised and filled with water. After I fixed that, the entire base lit up like a Christmas tree!

Hi, does anyone here know if the scanner rooms scanning radius is 3D or 2D? I.e. does it matter if I put the scanner room near the surface of the water or near the ground in terms of it being able to detect things below itself.

So I was under the impression that when creating a pool for e.g. an SSD cache, you would be given the option to set what RAID it would take if you used e.g. 2 SSD's. However at no point during pool creation was I asked this question, nor does there appear to be any setting anywhere that I can see. What am I missing here? Does Unraid automatically decide on what RAID form a pool will take based on the number of drives? Or does it simply extend the pool size and add the capacities of each drive in the pool together?

Was looking to upgrade my IPS to an OLED from MSI. However I note that they're trying to push people to use that stupid "gaming intelligence" software in order to update such things. The issue? There is no Linux version of "gaming intelligence" (I use Linux only).

Back in the day, you used to be able to just download the .bin file, whack it on a USB and hit the power button for 5 sec to get the monitor to auto-update from it. Question is, can you still do that with the new MSI monitors or what?

I'm trying to understand the nature of this. For example, if someone moves a file from their computer to a folder on my Unraid NAS, does the file actually go to the array? Or does Unraid intercept it by instead forcing the file transfer to go to the cache drive, then mover eventually comes along and moves it to the array at some point?

Normally this is done with their "gaming intelligence app", of which they have only made a Windows version unfortunately. Can we not just download a firmware file, stick it on a USB and plug it into the monitor and call it a day like normal people?

With Nvidia cards basically all being forced to use the terrible 12VHPWR/12V-2x6 connector, does anyone know if XFX will continue to use the superior 3x8-pin power design for future AMD cards or will XFX also be forced to use the terrible 12VHPWR/12V-2x6 connector?

Or will this be something dictated to them in the future by AMD much like what Nvidia does to its board partners?

I recently bought a MSI MEG X870E ACE MAX Motherboard. However it requires more types of power cables than my Seasonic VERTEX PX-1000W came with. This is partly due to the fact that my GPU utilises 3x8 pins ports instead of a 12VHPWR port.

This leaves my mobo short a 1x8 pin power connection (which is technically an optional connection as I think it's just for extreme overclocking, so I could just leave it empty). But it also leaves a 1x6 pin port empty which I actually do want to connect (its for USB I think). However the Seasonic PSU does not even come with a 6 pin to 6 pin cable.

Unfortunately my searching online only yields results for 8 pin to 6 pin cables, which is useless to me since all the 8 pin ports on the PSU are already occupied. Basically I need a true 6 pin to 6 pin cable and if possible, a 6 pin to 8 pin cable (I'm assuming that would not deliver enough power), so I would probably need a 2x6pin to 8 pin cable as well if I wanted to connect that optional port on the mobo.

Anyone know where I can get such cables (obviously high quality cables that aren't going to melt on me lol)? Thanks!

UBO was working fine on this site before. But today I'm getting hit with an ad-blocker blocker. Yes my UBO is up to date. If I just add the elemental to the elemental picker, it blocks the entire player.

If anyone can advise what rules I should add, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This suddenly appeared on my GOS install a while back. Can I remove it? I've searched online to try to figure out what it actually does but all the info I've found just talks vaguely about it apparently keeping your data local instead of being harvested by some random online AI??? I don't use an AI tools so I really have no idea how beneficial it would actually be to me, if at all, or even if it functions on GOS like the way it normally would on a Google device.

How does one enable this? I'm not seeing anywhere in the android app where this functionaility is. Or if it is there, it's extremely well hidden that I certainly can't find it. All I want to do is be able to use my stored credit cards to pay for things at EFTPOS terminals using my mobile's NFC chip.

Was wondering what you guys are using for managing reminders/tasks. I need a mobile app that is free to use without any sub that can do simple shopping lists and reminders etc. I used to use Google Keep quite extensively for this purpose but obviously that's no longer an option. So here I am.

I tried JTXBoard but it seems overly complicated for my needs. Also I couldn't figure how to get it to sync with Fastmail despite already having DAVx5 installed.

So I'm in the market for a new drone as a first time buyer. Initially I was looking at the DJI Mini 5 pro. But then I eventually found out that it is not actually sub-250g drone. So I moved on and started looking at the Potensic ATOM 2 which is sub-250g. The ATOM 2 seems to tick most of the boxes for me as DJI didn't seem to have a comparable offering as far as I could see.

But then DJI recently released the Lito X1 (priced pretty similarly to the ATOM 2) which seems to be a direct competitor to the ATOM 2 and is also sub-250g (so long as you don't get the Plus variant). Does anyone have any thoughts on these 2 drones or is it too early in the Lito life cycle to tell?

From what I can see, their feature set seems to be almost identical except the Lito X1 has a slightly better camera, longer transmission range and flight time?
