I've played Dungeons and Dragons most of my life, its my fav thing, but another fav thing is going to the pub to just have a few drinks and talk with friends. My last couple groups all played in the pub, mixing ttrpg's with alcohol was always fun, but i digress.

What this post is about is if anyone would be interested in joining a game and anyone know any pubs that allow games to played, maybe a quiet corner on less than busy days. I've tried the organized games in town but they never have the same feel.

I live in the East of Manchester, but anywhere in and around the city centre would be great, I'm free most days

I used to love the old games on the xbox 360, smackdown vs raw era, but stopped playing (and watching) wrestling in the 2010s. I kinda wanna get back to playing a wrestling game, but wasnt sure where to start. Im not a huge fan of the simulation type games (where you need to learn 6000 different combinations to do a move, but i also need it to be fairly realistic and with a decent story mode/single player.

I'm running a Asia save, custom database with every asian league loaded, take charge of lower league team from Thailand, Nakhom Pathon. I do exceptionally well in my first season and get promoted and somehow win the thai cup. So, it pits me in the Asian equivalent of the champions league. I'm outmatched, severely, full of Saudi teams with more money than sense, korean and japanese teams with 20x my budget, but i'm not embarrassing myself, narrow losses, a draw and come the final day of league fixtures, i only need a draw against FC Tokyo to qualify for knockouts. And I do...2-2! I'm through. But a day later, my game crashes, memory leak probably, i load the game and it's before the fc tokyo game, only this time, I lose 7-2. Would you, in your right mind reload and try for that draw again knowing you can get it?

So, i fancied a bit of a walk this evening, waa kinda wired so went to my local for a pint. In the mood for Guinness, £4. Not too bad, pint down and i carry on walking, next pub, no more than 1/4 mile away, £6.50.

How do pubs get away with this? Its not like im in the middle of town, its shameside, the poorest part of gtr Manchester.

Whats the largest price difference you see where you are? And anyone recommend pubs in and around tameside

I've been living with my mom for past couple of months until i find a place back home in Manchester, looking for a decent bar to get a drink and strike up conversation with strangers. Into rock mostly.
