Hope something like this exists but im looking for a down to earth anime protagonist story where the character starts but gets strong in the end but he also dies by the end of the story in a vary human ‘sad’ way like he gets cut down in a war sorta death.

If anyone’s ever seen ‘Overlord’ and knows who Brain is that would be good reference point for a character I’d like to watch
