Is it pointless to argue with folks that believe icon veneration is idolatry?

Especially, when they say Christ is the only savior and stuff like that. Some of my protestant friends think I am committing apostasy.

Not satisfied with what’s going on?

Especially, members that bring their political beliefs to the table. I’m not attacking the entire denomination but this is probably too common. Why are folks turning a blind eye to this? Whenever, I express my frustrations folks just say it’s delusional.

The ignorance is unbelievable.

It amazes me how some Protestants can be so ignorant on certain things. For example, how the Eucharist is only symbolic. Mary is dead she can’t hear our prayers. She’s not the Theotokos. If Mary is sinless than she has the same glory as to God. A few also commented on its blasphemy to venerate/ honor Mary. I’m just curious on how folks are interpreting scripture. I find it wild that some folks think icon veneration is idolatry. While it’s perfectly acceptable to attend a charismatic service that’s purely based on entertainment that includes speaking in absolute gibberish. It’s absolutely brainrot to see these “Protestants” try to prove anything. Stop making us look deranged.

Is it wrong to take communion if you aren’t a confirmed member? (AALC).

Been attending casually for a while now. My church doesn’t practice closed communion, but I still feel it’s not ideal to take it. I’m still in the inquiring phase. Not sure if I agree fully with the church.
