Gents, going on holiday tomorrow. Not entirely sure I like the Seamaster NTTD, it’s shockingly good (VSF v7) in terms of finishing, 3 straps, ultra light titanium but I think it’s a bit too « stealth » for my personal taste.

I’m in west Hampstead, can consider moving a bit! If anyone wants to swap this pm / evening vs a good rep (steel, no ap, Patek, vc, or 30k+ in gen etc…) 38/44mm

End of 2026 coming close. To you, what’s the best rep out there? Like one without tells (forget opening it), also I don’t care about bracelet so if a watch is perfect but bracelet is not I’m keen on knowing.

Few ones that comes to my mind, couple of which I had the chance to handle:

1. APSF Pilot Chrono; I’ve never seen the gen but the rep looks so solid and « perfect » (black dial)
2. ZF v2 RO 15710; issue with the non instant date change but wooo that’s a tank, it’s so solid, well polished, silent…
3. Apparently the airking ? Flaws was the font being too bold but it seems recent batches corrected it?

Just received the VSF V7 NTTD from @Necessary_County_392.

Stunning watch, titanium is very surprising in hands / on wrist, it’s super super stealth (obviously not the most legible but that’s the same on the gen) to me it’s perfect, hopefully waterproof, we’ll see in a few days.

Absolute gentleman of a seller. Awesome communication from A to Z, posted earlier so that I could get it before traveling. Packed better than some gens I’ve bought.

In the process of acquiring a vintage 18038. Are you spotting anything good / bad?

Black -> box and papers, 1986, can be collected today (my watch + ~£600)
Champagne -> box only, 1978, could be picked up soon with them giving me €600 but I would need to fly to Milan…

Once I get these, I’ll fully focus on acquiring a vintage or Neo vintage rep diver or GMT, think about me 😎

I'm swapping my VC 2nd gen vs. a day date tomorrow ideally

I found 2 shops.

1. London based reputable dealer. 18038 BLACK DIAL from 1986 Box + Papers. Really like the dial, they're ok for me to pick-up tomorrow am vs. my watch + me adding ~£600. To me it looks great, I only have an issue with a link on the bracelet, the first one at the top of the watch.
2. Milan based dealer. 18038 CHAMPAGNE DIAL from 1978 Box only, no papers. Fragmented communication throughout, I feel like they haven't read anything about my watch, bracelet, receipts etc... They mentioned a done deal (VC vs. daydate + them adding €600) and this morning they asked why I did not have the warranty card then that it was a problem then radio silence... Tonight someone came back saying let's speak in the morning let's do it etc... I'm French I thought I would send the watch from France and get the daydate from France but I want to avoid shipping the VC (had a funny story selling a speedy...). Flying to Milan could be easier on Monday but again that's a lot to do...

I don't have issue with the watch it looks awesome, one person told me "it's entirely re-done, it's bad etc."

I prefer the black dial but being completly transparent (please don't kill me), I'm planning to acquire a funny dial either malachite or ferrite and swap it, I will obviously keep the original too.

Gents, with the hype around the cardinal points matching the moment when I’d like to let go my titanium bezel dual time. I’m trying to setup a consignment approach with a London dealer.

The issue is my watch originally did not come on a bracelet and they’re not willing to include the £1.5k bracelet in the price so I would need to trade it myself.

Hi everyone, looking to acquire a watch from someone in the UK. He’s bought it from Archaedin as far as I’ve understood.

I’ve got a few pictures below. I would love to understand the following:

1. Will it scream « rep »?
2. Not a Rolex expert only had a gen gmt master 2 in the past. I tried an older gmt master and obviously not the same feeling in hand, it’s lighter and looks «cheaper » given its age
3. What would be the tells? My goal is not to fool anyone, maybe I’m far from reality but my goal would be to have a vintage watch I can easily wear and pass it as a gen that is aged, probably faced different level of servicing et maybe some replacement parts etc… not thinking about an expert review, opening the watch etc… would this do the job?

Also it will be worn on straps never on bracelet!
