/clip. The amount of times I have literally been under the radar in front of full squads is incredible. Moments like this, where patience and pure fucking luck sometimes makes for such an incredibly tense game.

Harkening back to the days of achievements and trophies being pivotal experiences of gaming, I am thoroughly enjoying going through the Codex and trying to complete EVERYTHING. Vidmaster will probably be the one to not be completed I feel, but everything else seems attainable. I had a previous post detailing my WEAVEmaster journey, and as much of a grind it sounds, it was truly fun. There hasn’t been a game since Elden Ring that has fascinated me with its lore, mechanics, art, design, and sound since then.
Worked on some of the sponsored skins today, and wow am I NOT adept to anything but Vandal and Recon lol. Thief is really a great kit, probably the most fun non-Main Runner shell of them all.
Collectibles are so so close I can taste it. It’s crazy how many deluxe and prestige items can spawn in smaller event boxes and safes, not just the endgame content of the maps like Lockdown, Upper Complex, or Pinwheel. Although Severed Twins… yeah I am expecting I’ll see the last four I need ONLY in Destroyed Wing key room :(
Vault Breakers has been a fun side distraction, and I am glad they extended it. I really hope this is a framework for a more encompassing Rogue-like mode, where we can build craft and load out with *almost* any kit and maybe even on a rotating map basis. The item economy is just right as it’s not affecting the PVP item economy much, and pushing players to be a bit more brazenly brave in the PVP modes.
Even with the amount of hours I have, I truly feel like there are fun and substantial things to grind for still. So how someone who may have a fraction of my hours saying “there’s nothing to do!”, really confuses me... but I get it if these items are not what some players want.
The biggest driver and motivation for me is the unraveling narrative and lore. I truly wish the priority contracts of S2 had more to them other then the four to six we got :/ the audio design even in the faction cutscenes and especially in codex are so high-quality storytelling, I just want more! Lol.
Anyway, hope to hear from other grinders and completionist Runners about their journey!!! The 18th can’t come soon enough, and on to season 3!

Included is my last couple Rook runs. Man that grind was fun, but I really hope there is more incentive than just the skins and title. I would be happy with even one permanent point per season 🐛🐛🐛
Is there some sort of best practices ie., bartering for cores/implants is actually less value than just converting the original material? Some items are more efficient and value packed than others (commendations looking at you!).
I’ve got an abundance of credits so buying cores for runner shells I don’t use is a no brainer, and weapons I don’t like, etc…
What have you noticed?
Lobby was not wanting us in Complex Control in the slightest lol. Still turned out to be a tense run. What a blast a chill game with one of the premier and awesome Marathon streamers!
Seriously though, pun and dad joke aside… if you ain’t Rooking it you are missing out! I consider this 1/3 of the game next to sweaty squad play, and tactical solo.
Also, bravo Bungie, Vault Breakers is a blast and I love filling with randoms that have never ever set foot in Cryo due to the fear of it. Made me feel like a mini-Sherpa! This needs to be standard for all End Game content in this type of extraction shooter I feel like :) I fear making it disappear will only repeat the same drop when Survival mode ended :(
Can we get it permanently the off days of Cryo-proper?
Just fully unlocked “Classified: Colony Anomaly Research” Night Marsh codex items, and this has got to be one of my favorite lines of narration thus far.
… and it was a fuck-ton of fun!!! Incredible fights, insane close calls, clutch 1v2s, loads of amazing gear.
First run a team sat outside our key room until literally a couple minutes before final, and then us deciding to push for the wipe, and dying meters from exfil :(
Then…. five successful exfils in a row, then two of our first Compiler runs, only to have too little time before committing to the boss room, and exfiling by the skin of our worm-printed teeth. Seven totally incredibly successfully fun runs for the night.
We are not sweats, but we love the game nonetheless. We played super cautious and careful, only engaging when absolutely necessary. I am super excited to be almost done with Compiler and Reverie lore as well.
This weekend, the Compiler is ours!!! We’re coming for you!
Sorry for the potato pic… anyone get this done and know the steps? Granted I just got it and only ran it once but nowhere were there containers or a shield to disable when I looked at the mentioned areas on Narsh :/
Non-existent and can’t purchase after unlocking in NuCaloric upgrades. This is probably the biggest bug of the season, as it is necessary to complete a couple priority contracts *and* mid-game events like lockdown… I am shocked it hasn’t been patched already…
This sweet unique Mizzy will sit in my inventory till the day before season 3 lol.
Just kidding. Probably will be my secondary to my last needed subroutine run, the elusive sixth one!!!
