Premeditated Proplift question...

Sorry I dont have pictures yet. But I was leaving my mom's house yesterday evening and noticed a BEAUTIFUL group of alocasia in the ditch a few houses down from hers. There is no house on the corner, where the ditch is. Would I be okay to go all swiper-no-swiping on a few of the elephant ear and their corms?? Seems like public property πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

Has anyone ever rehomed side-of-the-road plants??

EDIT: I just got home from work, after reading all of the comments and encouragements, Im about to put on my rain boots and go corm digging! Lol. Ill report back soon!

Semi-hydro find / hack

So I LOVE these deep orchid pots but there's almost no cache pot that fits them. Until I came across these 32 oz deli containers from Wal-Mart. You get 20 cups and 20 lids for 7 dollars!

This size only fits the 4.7 orchid pot, but thats plenty for majority of my house plants. Hope this helps someone!

I used them without a wicking setup for my African Mask Alocasia here. Just transitioned them 2 days ago.

Fairly new to Alocasias...

Seaux... I was doing my bi-weekly inspection of my local hardware store's plant selection and noticed one of my 'wish list' plants...Alocasia Polly [African Mask]. $15.98 seems like a good price for a 6" tall plant with 5 - 7 leaves... when I went to check out.... it rang up $9.98... πŸ‘€

Long story short, I now own 2 new African Mask Alocasias.

Im a Monstera guy, so any and all advice for care would be greatly appreciated!

How often should I repot?

Soooo walmart had a sale on baby Birds for 2 USD each... i bought A LOT. That was about 2 months ago. They all sit outside on my South facing front porch. Even should i look at sizing up their pots so that I can have these massive plants take over the front of my house??
