With the new Grot Detachment, it's a good time for a friendly reminder that 50 Armageddon Grots is actually 60.

The kit comes with two extra upper bodies and with some tactical rocks/dirt they can be made into 2 free grots which adds up when building 60 or 120.

I have figured out how to get my 15 month old to eat stuff she doesn't want to eat.

Leave it on the edge of the table and let her think she is stealing it. Apparently it's disgusting, unless she steals it and thinks she is being slick.

I just had a SAG Mek hit 30 wounds into a Baneblade.

I have nowhere else to share this so I needed to say it somewhere.

SAG Mek with Tankbustas vs Astra.

During the WAAAGH, [IGNORE COVER] Stratagem, Pulsa Rokkit used for -AP, Rolled 6 on attacks, +1, Rapid Fire +1, +1 Hit/Wound from Tankbustas. Rolling 8 dice with [SUSTAINED] Hitting on 4s. 3 6s get rolled, and total hits after everything is 9.

+1 Wound roll, Wounding on 4's, 7 go through.

7 saves to the Baneblade, AP-5 so that's not happening.

7d6 for 30 total damage.

In my limited and short career this is by far the single greatest single shot I have ever taken and it was also the first time an opponent had to basically concede at the end of turn 2. We still played out the next round for fun and some theory/positioning practice but damn.

My greatest Ork moment so far.

Painted my first Nid (Haruspex)

Full disclosure my wife plays Tyranids and I have two other armies so I am familiar with the process, but she gave me permission to paint a bug or two so I thought I'd hop on and give it a try

Caveat being it had to match her technicolor skittles bag of crazy neon Xenos she has going on, so I tried to do a pink zebra striped Haruspex.

Bonus Armageddon Gretchin

Had extra top halfs on the Armageddon Gretchin so wanted to try and pinch pennies to squeeze as many models out of it as possible.

Used some tactical rocks and garden dirt to make them useable.

Thoughts on my tactical/bonus Armageddon Grots?

I'm slowly making my way through 30 of the new Gretchin to replace some old proxies I was using, and I noticed that every 10 comes with 2 extra head/shoulder/weapon/hands.

Never to be one to shy away from trying to pinch an extra model everywhere I can, I tried to make some Gretchin that looked like they were fighting out of some dirt piles.

What y'all think? Playable?

I used small rocks to build a small pile, then glued the Grot top onto the rock, then used garden dirt and PVA glue to coat the whole thing then put dirt on it.

Random Thought - No generation will match the typing speed of the people who lived in that small window of online gaming with no voice chat.

I remember playing EverQuest before Ventrilo and voice chat took over and how fast my typing got because of it. With voice taking over, it will never happen again. There was a 5-10 year window there where a generation became the greatest typists of all time, and it will never be replicated.

One year of painting Orks to celebrate Armageddon.

Just wanted to get the Boyz together for a proper photoshoot before 11th drops. The theme I went with was Toxic Ooze so all the bases are done with rivers of slime.

I picked up Orks as my second army when my daughter was born a year ago because I was on night shift and needed something to kill those hours in the middle of night waiting for her to wake up every hour or two while my wife slept, and here we are.

Just wanted to show off my stuff since I don't have anywhere else to show it off.
