Posting this here because I feel like I can get more answers from this sub, I hope it’s allowed.
I don’t really feel connected to pagan European gods no matter how much I try so I think I’m giving up on that, what are some North American spirits that you work with? What are the types of North American spirits? I wanna get into spirit work but I don’t feel connected to European gods or beings because it feels different, I’m not looking for Native American stuff because I’m not interested in cultural appropriation I just wanna feel more connected with the land I live on and the spirits.

I have always been really interested in both but I never really see any crossover between the two other than things like divination, and if you are a pagan, who is also a medium, can you recommend any books or resources and tell me about your practice and experiences? Hello, I am very interested in mediumship and have been since I was a child because I was raised by my grandmother who believes in mediums and who has had very spiritual experiences her whole life, as a child I have seen ancestors who are passed away, but that was a long time ago, and I haven’t really had any experiences like that since. I am a pagan and was wondering if there are pagan mediums? I have a few questions because most of the mediums I know about our Christian or spiritualist.

1. What are your views on the afterlife?
2. Have you been able to connect with Deities similar to how you do with spirits and how different is that from prayer?
3. What is your religion? And is mediumship a common practice in your religion?
4. Can you recommend any books or resources for a pagan who is very interested in developing psychic/mediumship skills? I haven’t been able to find much and I have no idea where to look for books because I am afraid to get something that is not good.

I have had psychic experiences a few times in my life, seeing ancestors that I have never met in life, but I have seen them in photos, I want to develop my psychic abilities, but I’m not sure how. Are there any actual good books that you can recommend? I am a Celtic pagan but feel really called to this path, I just don’t know where to start.

I don’t know a whole lot yet about mediumship, I have seen spirits multiple times before, specifically certain ancestors & I want to develop my abilities if possible. I’m a polytheist and believe in “the otherworld” basically the spirit world where people go after death before they are reincarnated. Do you have any tips that may be able to help me? My personal view of the afterlife is similar (I think) to the Wiccan “summerland”, basically a spirit world you go in between incarnations and eventually you reincarnate. Idk a lot so learning more might change my mind.

What are your Christian beliefs? I know a lot of people here are gnostic, what are some other things people here believe?

Personally, as a Celtic pagan, a lot of Celtic myth inserts Christian doctrine and aspects like God, the trinity, etc. so instead of trying to separate the pagan aspects from the Christian ones I just leave them as they are, I believe that God is the creator and the deities are lesser gods but can be called upon and venerated.

I’m a Celtic pagan, I’m looking for a magick tradition to look into because I want to start practicing magick too, there are so many and I’m unsure where to look. Please give recommendations of where to look if you have any

How much do we know about how the ancient celts practiced their religion? I love the myth and want to start practicing but idk the first thing about it.

I’m kind of confused rn, a lot of universalists say that the words in the Bible translated as “eternal” and “for ever” just mean “for an age” or eon but verses like this just don’t make sense to me “So that honour doth praise Thee, and is not silent, O Jehovah, my God, to the age I thank Thee!” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭30‬:‭12‬ ‭Young’s Literal Translation. “To the age I thank thee” idk maybe I’m just confused but doesn’t it make more sense as “forever”? Also a verse I’ve seen universalists use is:
“For the Lord will not Cast off for ever:” Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭31‬ ‭KJV‬. But if read, translating “for ever” as “the age” it seems to change the meaning a lot:
“For the Lord doth not cast off to the age.”
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭31‬ ‭Young’s Literal translation. Can someone please clear these up for me im so confused and new 😭.
