Been grinding it out on my RDL's, pushing what I can through 1-2 hard sets, 2 times a week for pretty much, as long as I've been doing them; maxing what I can do off of it.
I hit a plateau and I've been struggling to progress past the 425 mark (425x7, 430x6, 435x4) over the last month. I also noticed, generally speaking, that the bar was starting to feel heavier than it did before, and my form wasn't as clean; more heaving, not going as deep.
So on my second set, instead of pushing the same weight as my top-set, I'd drop it down by 10% (385) and pushed what I could. This was the first time I've walked back on my weight in months. And doing that, it felt a lot easier/comfortable moving it around, which made the following set easier to swallow mentally and I noticed that I was adding a rep on it session to session. As a result, I committed to a full-on deload.
As of a week ago, I started toying around with a small pause at the bottom of the range of motion - got a lot of fun out of doing them, and it gives me another medium of progression - so I pivoted to doing this full-time.
Planning to work my way back up to my former weights, and start pushing the ceiling higher
Soon as I post, I find an even better monitor on sale at CC lol. Surprisingly, this isn't a Members Deal, and I had to dig through their Back to School promotion to find this.
For the specs, this is pretty rock solid. The Costco Monitor's ATL is $200, which is slightly faster at 300hz (and Costco perks of course) while being about even on the other big points. But nonetheless, can't go wrong with this.
Decent price for both. Would put the CPU at $500 and the GPU at $900
For black too, though it's Out of Stock online
.
If you were interested in getting one of those back-connect, "aesthetic" Motherboards, this isn't a terrible price with the free case
Also note, you can snag the Motherboard within the Combo Builder
.
$2,337 + $30 Shipping
This is for the K-Pro Mint, Banana, (Silent) Red and (Silent) Brown Switches.
There's also Haimu Sea-Salt Linear Switches for $20 (also 110 in total)
.
If you're not in the loop, they went on sale and had a promotional code which took it down an extra 20% . At $117 Canadian, and being interested in a new headset, I decided to bite, along with a few other goodies. Ordered at night on the 11th, a day ahead of them going Out of Stock. On the 15th, I got an email that mentioned they're having inventory issues and are supposed to be behind by 1/2 weeks; then would send an update about shipping.
In that time, they later canceled my orders for both their Tactile and Linear Mechanical Switches, which alone, is really disappointing. But worse off, there's been no update since about the headset.
When the hell are they going to come??
Couple cents cheaper if you get it in pink
My hardware
I was paroozing through FanControl, which I use to watch my temperatures. I have my Pump configured to run at 100% at all times through my BIOS. In the BIOS and on-boot, it runs at 100%, which goes over 3,000RPM. But as a bit of time goes on in Windows, I notice that it stops running at the set value (full speed), and the frequency changes to scale based on my current CPU temperature, like a preconfigured curve that doesn't exist.
So if I'm in the 60's for example, it'll run at 2,400-2,600RPM or a bit over 60%. If I'm closer to idle temps, 40's to low 50's, it runs at 2,000RPM
As a result my CPU is running hotter on average, and I'm getting these massive spikes into the 70's, and worst case, low 80's, which I'd never get before
I haven't touched anything of late internally. I just don't get what's going on.
Doing due diligence for Cutting through the summer. Brought my brother along as well. Took one of my usual routes, looping through Lenester/Georgina, following the path to the bus stop at Iris, and back around through the path to Maitland. As we made the push up to the bridge and started riding down, we saw this little fella hanging around. We had no choice but to stop and say hello. Took a minute to get comfortable, but after that they were really sweet and went back and forth to get pets!
Reminded me a lot of my baby boy, who I lost May of 2024, but he was a short-hair instead of being long-haired
Heard about the promotion as I was surfing through Canada Computers. Mentioned that if you do a written review for an ASUS product you own, you can get a reward. I happen to still own a TUF Gaming B650M-E WIFI, which I used until I upgraded last year, and is now currently in my Dad's PC. Currently waiting on the review to process through, but in the meantime I went into the page to fill out my info
With how it's configured, you can't fill in all of the information necessary unless the Serial Number of the product is processed, which fills in the blanks automatically; and this is the problem. For some reason, despite having an eligible Motherboard and inputting the exact code for it, it's not being read as an "Eligible Product"
Any help from a representative at ASUS would be appreciated
