I'll be in Karachi in a few days, for the first time in my life.

What should I definitely visit in Karachi, and where should I eat? What do you highly recommend I do to experience the real Karachi life?

I would have liked to post this in Pakistantwenties so that I could mainly get recommendations from people in the same age group and with similar interests, but I was banned because I asked which sim Provider ist best for Karachi.

Muslima in Deutschland

Hi, wie kann man euch kennenlernen? Also zum heiraten.

life beyond Islam and anti-Islam

I grew up in Germany my whole life and wanted to build a connection with my generation in Pakistan through Reddit. But I've realized that I have little in common with Pakistanis of my generation; somehow it's always just about Islam or anti-Islam. I hope you can all have a normal life someday, but apparently Pakistanis have no other problems. In Germany, I only know from the outside that Pakistan is a poor country trying to provide for its population, with corrupt politicians who are robbing the country. There is a water shortage and a great deal of air pollution; hygiene is a foreign concept, just like for the Indians.

But apparently, none of that is true; Pakistan is very wealthy, and people are discussing things that have nothing to do with their lives anyway. I can't imagine that the Main Problem of my Generation are, If Fluid means sperm or Not. whether the uneducated mullah, who even cannot be ready, is right or not.

Here in Germany, we worry about whether we'll get a job, how we'll pay our rent, and so on. We wonder whether politics is corrupting the country to death, whether we can even live in this country anymore.Whether the country even has a future anymore. How we can provide for our old age and whether we can even cope with inflation. how to deal with toxic parental behavior. Education , and so on.

For me, fulfilling the obligatory 5 daily prayers is the absolute foundation of daily life. When it comes to managing a household, I believe in teamwork based on our strengths: The Kitchen: I genuinely love cooking and am more than happy to completely take over the cooking and meal preparation. The Laundry: I highly dislike washing and ironing clothes, as I find it too exhausting, so I am looking for a partner who is willing to handle the laundry while I take care of the kitchen.

PARTNER PREFERENCES Age Range: Open-minded / No strict preference Location: Completely open (Globally / Anywhere). The partner must be willing to relocate to Germany. Habits: Must strictly be a non-smoker and not drink alcohol. Caste: Open / Does not matter (As long as she does not strongly identify with or prioritize caste values). Parenting and Childcare: I want us to be an equal team in raising our future children and shaping their lives. Please note: I have a very strong physical aversion/sensitivity to changing baby diapers as it genuinely grosses me out. I am looking for an understanding partner who is willing to handle that specific part of childcare, while I gladly compensate by putting extra effort into all other aspects of parenting and household chores. If you feel our values align, please feel free to reach out with your Biodata/Details.

Pakistan, the country where Islam does not dictate what a Muslim is, but where culture dictates what Islam is.

This is a critique of Pakistan, not a critique of Islam.

I want to put this out there, and I really don't want this to turn into a "who has it worse" debate. I'm genuinely just trying to untangle a knot that has been bothering me, and I am curious how others here see it.

This is the pattern I have observed growing up:

For a boy – the household operates like a well-oiled machine around him. His glass is refilled before he notices it is empty. His needs are anticipated and met without him asking. Societally, he is expected to build a career and carry the label of "provider." He is also expected to follow his parents' commands without questioning them. He inherits every right that local customs and certain readings of religion offer him. His duties, in practice, stop at earning money and listening to his elders.

For a girl – the training starts incredibly early, sometimes as young as four. She learns to manage the entire household, to read the needs of her father and brothers before they express them. After marriage, this shifts to the husband, the children, and the in-laws (especially the mother-in-law). On top of all that, she is often expected to hold a full-time job to finance daily expenses and help pay off her husband's debts. She inherits every duty that local customs and certain readings of religion can pile onto her. Her "right" is often deferred to the afterlife – a promise of rest only when she is no longer here.

Now here is the part that really confuses me.

Whenever a woman in our society points out her actual Islamic entitlements – things like her right to her own earned money, her right to refuse a marriage proposal, her right to seek khula, or her right to not spend a single rupee on household expenses (since that burden falls solely on the husband in Islamic jurisprudence) – what happens?

She is immediately dismissed and branded as a "liberal, wannabe Westerner."

She gets told she has been corrupted by Western feminist ideals.

But here is the catch: She is not asking for Western values. She is literally holding up the religious text and saying, "Look, this is what it actually says about my protections." She is not quoting Simone de Beauvoir; she is quoting the Quran and Hadith.

So why does culture get a free pass to override those clear religious protections? And yet, when a woman asks for those exact protections, it is suddenly labelled as an imported, foreign disease? It is as if culture has carefully picked out the verses about her duties to enforce them strictly, while conveniently burying the verses about her rights.

It makes me wonder if these rigid customs were hardened into a fixed template generations ago, shaped by outside influences trying to put local traditions into a permanent box, freezing them in a way that always tilted the scales in one clear direction. Over time, these customs were wrapped so tightly in religious cloth that nobody dares to separate them anymore, even when the threads clearly do not match.

I am genuinely asking you all:

Have you seen this play out in your own families or social circles? Why do you think we defend these cultural expectations so fiercely, even when they stand in plain contradiction to the very texts we claim to follow? And how can a woman ever demand her actual Islamic rights without being accused of betraying her culture or being a puppet of the West? And how can ypu call yourself Muslim, by denying women thheir god given rights and force them your manmade dutys while taking her and ypur own godgoven and manmade right and rejecting your godgiven dutys.

The worst are the so-called scholars, most of whom can't even read or speak Arabic, yet have an opinion on everything and then claim that Islam says so.Please leave Islam and society, with your man-made religion alone. You are the plague you accuse others of being.

Degradiert of bettery for display over 6,7 zoll

The rapid degradation of the S24 Ultra battery (5000 mAh) in everyday use can be precisely described using a physical degradation integral. Since battery capacity decreases exponentially, the actual capacity on day x—assuming 366 days per year and one cycle per day—follows the function C(x) = (C_start − 150) × 0.8^(x/Z), where 150 mAh represents a chemical baseline offset. To determine the critical day G when the device’s capacity falls to the threshold of 4300 mAh, we solve C(G) = 4300 for G. The normalized lifespan in years, N, is then defined by integrating the accumulated capacity over time and comparing it to the minimum annual energy requirement of 4300 mAh × 366 days. Performing the integration of this exponential decay from 0 to G simplifies the expression by eliminating the logarithmic term. The resulting equation for lifespan is N = (Z × (C_start − 4450)) / 351183.

Applying this formula with the S24 Ultra’s initial capacity of 5000 mAh reduces the effective buffer to just 550 mAh (5000 − 4450). Consequently, the actual lifespan depends on the assumed cycle durability Z. Using a realistic estimate of Z = 1200 cycles yields a lifespan of N = (1200 × 550) / 351183 ≈ 1.88 years. Even at the theoretical maximum of Z = 2000 cycles, the battery falls below the critical capacity after only N ≈ 3.13 years.

The fundamental issue lies in the limited physical volume of the battery. The exponential decline rapidly consumes the small margin provided. To meet Samsung’s promise of seven years of software updates with 1200 cycles without battery replacement, the S24 Ultra would require an initial capacity near 6500 mAh. For a practical lifespan of ten years, the battery capacity would need to exceed 7380 mAh. The mathematical analysis based on integral calculus indicates that the installed 5000 mAh battery constitutes a design limitation under rigorous long-term use.

I used AI for the translation because a simple translator wasn't adequate and my English isn't that good.
