What are the best mods to remaster both Adventure games on a Legion Go S?

I'm finally getting a Legion Go S and grabbing both Sonic Adventure games from Steam!

I am well-aware on mods like Dreamcast Conversion, Lantern Engine and SA2 Cutscene Revamped, but I'm talking HD textures, FMVs and giving characters like Big, Gamma and Eggman models that are more consistent to the other characters' higher-poly DX models in SA1.

Any useful quality-of-life improvements and cut content restoration mods will also be appreciated.

What should I know about Steam OS?

I am saving up towards a Legion Go S with Steam OS because...

  1. That recent PlayStation news regarding phasing out physical games.

  2. I heard Steam has the best deals over the Nintendo eShop, Xbox Store and PlayStation Store.

  3. The amount of Sonic games I can play on PC and gaming handhelds alone (Sonic is one of my favorites!)

  4. The amount of flexibility and customization thanks to mods. (Remastered textures, QoL improvements and additional content)

and 5. I'm addicted to handhelds now thanks to Switch 2.

I might as well just get a Legion Go S and finally join the Steam family. Since this is pretty much mostly unknown territory for me (Aside from info I already know), what are some crucial things I should be aware about? Because I'm excited! I really am! Only familiarity I had with Steam in the past is just to play Garry's Mod some time ago.

I find this so damn silly with the roster

Why aren't Nine, Dreads and Rusty Rose skins for Tails, Knuckles and Amy? They're literally the same people, but different interpretations from different dimensions. They could've easily shaved off three character slots. At least they had an excuse for Werehog and Classic Sonic.

Does anyone remember the PSP version of Toy Story 3?

I actually got the PS5-emulated port of the PSP game sometime ago and thinking about playing through it. I know it's not the PS3 version, but it looks fun in it's own right. I mean it feels like the perfect time Toy Story 5 it felt right ya know? Question: Why do most PS2 ports of multi-platform games have worst sound quality than even GameCube ports?

I was watching a comparison of The Incredibles games across the PS2, GameCube and Xbox and notice stuff like the punching noise sounds pretty crunchy on PS2 which doesn't make sense because the GameCube's discs has less space than a PS2 DVD, yet has clear sounds.

Another good example is Sonic Heroes. I know it's a quickly slapped-together port due to Sony's demands and not wanting to miss out on Sonic going beyond GameCube, but a good number of the sounds and even the swapping voice lines for the characters sound crunchy?

What's the most darkest joke you seen in a kids show as an adult?

For me, it's the joke from the SpongeBob episode Hooky.

SpongeBob and Patrick visits the "carnival". SpongeBob asks "Where is everybody?" Patrick answered " I don't know. There was one kid here, earlier." and you can see a pair of shoes. I used to think that was some random junk laying for seemingly no reason. But if you take into consideration the shoes, what Patrick said and what the hooks do then that implies a literal child got killed off screen.

I know the SpongeBob franchise has it moments of sneaking in dark, dirty and racy jokes, but imagine having the point of view of the poor kid.

What's gonna be the PS5 Enhancements for Rayman Legends Retold?

I just caught the "PS5 Pro Enhanced" tag while window-shopping the game in the PlayStation Store website. I am so curious on what the Pro enhancements are gonna be.

My best guess is that it may be for something like better ray-tracing, higher resolution and PSSR support, but I could imagine this game being that demanding or benefit much compared to other Ubisoft games like Assassin's Creed Shadows, Black Flag Resynced and Star Wars Outlaws since those are bigger games.

And I doubt Origins Enhanced Edition will be Pro enhanced considering it's a remaster of a PS3 and Wii game while obviously Legends Retold is a full-ass remake. I'd be surprised if Origins did, though.

Recommended settings for Ratchet and Clank PS2 quadrilogy on a Retroid Pocket 5

I got some money to spend on a Retroid Pocket 5 (I am fully aware there's a 6, but not in a rush). Really wanted a better way to play the trilogy portably since the PSVita controls are extremely iffy with the back-touch pad to strafe and use certain weapons (Got hit or died too many times due to controls failing to register) plus Deadlocked, some Sonic games and others.

What would be good settings to enjoy the quadrilogy with little to no issues? I might've asked this in the past, but any good widescreen cheats to have the widescreen similar to the PS3 ports? The first game has no widescreen features while the sequels crop after all.

What's your favorite theatrical movies based on animated TV shows? Here's mine for starters...

Was considering adding sequels for Rugrats (Paris) and SpongeBob (Sponge On the Run and Search for Squarepants, did not like Sponge Out of Water too much), but to keep it fair I stuck with my most favorites.

I had found the old Traveller's Tales mascot in the new Lego Batman game!

I'm not sure if you can display a complete/built version of him in the Batcave, but this is a surprising easter egg.

I remember seeing this mascot in games such as Sonic 3D Blast, Finding Nemo, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Crash Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanity and even the original Lego Star Wars (Early PS2, PC and Original Xbox versions. Was replaced in later PS2, PC and Original Xbox releases and GameCube release).

Good to see this mascot wasn't completely forgotten.

What should a Legacy of Kain bundle consisting of Blood Omen 1 through Defiance be called?

Seriously, what would be the best name for a Legacy of Kain digital bundle or box set if they were to release one for potential remasters or remakes of the Blood Omen duology and the pre-existing Soul Reaver duology and Defiance remasters?

Does OG Black Flag still hold up on Switch 2?

Originally I wasn't interested in Assassin's' Creed, but after playing mature games like Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 and 2, GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas, Resident Evil Requiem and Metal Gear Solid I might give AC a chance.

But I have a bit of a dilemma. Does the original Black Flag still hold up (Specifically paying the Switch port on Switch 2)? I'm considering either play Black Flag right now on Switch 2 or if I should just be patient and wait if Resynced Gold Edition goes on sale for PS5 or if a Switch 2 version gets announced. I like the enhancements some of my PS5 games got on the Pro I bought earlier this year, but I enjoyed the Switch 2's handheld gameplay.

People using "skill issues" to shut down criticisms of video games

I might be overreacting, but this happens way too many times for me!

There's moments where I'll criticize certain aspects of games and what I don't like or don't prefer such as the tank controls of RE 1 - 3, Zero and Code Veronica. I get people telling me "skill issues". I actually did play Code Veronica and got used to the controls, but it still feels pretty bleh. Just because I'm good (Or at least getting decent) on a certain control scheme doesn't automatically mean my opinion has changed. I still prefer the alternative controls for the HD remasters of REmake 1 and Zero and still rather play REmake 2 and 3. I'm sure OG RE 1 - 3 are good, the controls just aren't for me not that I expect people to understand.

Like how fricking dare I "disrespect" their favorite games for sharing my own critiques and opinions!? How fricking dare I acknowledge flaws and pointed them out in "perfect" games!? I guess I'm such an awful person for not liking dated control schemes from 20 - 30 year old games.

All I'm saying is that I wish people would stop taking advantage of "skill issues" if others point out they don't prefer certain game mechanics or legit game issues.

Don't take this as hating or attacking people who like media from something like the 60s - 2000s, but were those decades really as "perfect" as they remember for media?

There's issues people brought up with today's media and upper management that can also be applied to back then such as shows and movies getting cancelled for unfair reasons, getting rushed with tight deadlines and companies having bias for certain IPs they own and milk them to death.

There's also moments where certain media may not be as good as people may remembered or just didn't aged all too well if they're take off their rose-tinted glasses for a minute. There's a number of things from previous decades worth remembering and other things not as much.

Each decade has their own media that are all-time classics, underappreciated, pure stinkers or poorly-aged. There still are good shows, movies and video games out there these days. You just need to look past the attention-hogging flops.

Again, I'm not attacking anyone who are fans of decades from those, but it's never a bad thing to keep things into perspective.

I kinda get why SpongeBob, Avatar and TMNT were chosen (Viacom/Paramount has the companies who owns those IPs as well as the Sonic movie franchise) and SpongeBob stuff was fun, but at the same time I wished Nickelodeon didn't hog up half of the season pass.

I know the Nick Kart Racers trilogy aren't the best, but those games literally exists!

With that out of the way, the Rayman pack would've contained Rayman, Globox and King Teensie as racers, the "cah" would be that one vehicle Rayman drove in the short-lived, but meme goldmine Rayman show. The track would be First Ruins from Rayman M/Arena and the PS1 racing levels-only port Rayman Rush.

FFVII DLC would've contained Cloud, Tifa and Sephiroth as racers, the car would've been the pA-86 type Automobile and the track would be Midgar. There was that Chocobo GP reboot thing for Switch, but it wasn't good and Square Enix abandoned that.

Street Fighter DLC would've have Ryu and Chun-Li as racers, the car from the SFII mini game and the track would be Metro City.

These are my personal picks if I were to replace the Nick reps.
