I'm looking to buy my partner a new watch for our upcoming anniversary. She's been saying that she needs a new watch has both of hers are old and very worn. She's not into watches like me so not planning on spending a fortune as she wouldn't appreciate it.
I do want to get a good brand though, both of hers are cheap designer brand watches.
She only wears gold jewellery so have narrowed it down to these two watches. Any ladies on here that could vouch for them and what would you prefer? She has seen the Ballade and seemed to like it but not the full gold.
Ideally want to surprise her with it so trying not to ask too many questions!
Like this a lot more than I was expecting. Love how the dial can look bold but look almost black at different angles.
Was very torn between this and the Omega AT Shades Terracotta and kept flipping between the two regarding what to buy. Very pleased with my choice.
Think I might need another link added back in as looks like there is no more to play with on the microadjust.
Yesterday I posted a few dials, the stunning Daytripper eos and a couple of Baltic's as a potential new watch fir the summer. The Trafford won by a landslide so delighted to be able to pick one up today. The dial doesn't disappoint and somehow looks better than the photos.
Though I fear I may end up with more watches from Trafford in the near future!
6 years ago today, I made my first "big" watch purchase in a Blue Longines VHP. Thinking at the time that I wouldn't end up with many more, here we are. In this time, I have also owned and sold a Tudor BB58 and DJ36 Wimbledon.
Anyone here recommend the rubber strap for the AT Green Teak? I bought mine on the bracelet and currently have an aftermarket leather strap fitted. Worth picking up or keep to just a leather and bracelet?
Hi all, currently own the Bose 700 which I bought around 5 years ago. They have been brilliant headphones and never felt the need to replace them.
The ear cushions are starting to become a bit worn, so was debating whether now is the time to replace with a newer model which will hopefully see me through the next 5 years.
This is where I seem to struggle, is there a worthy upgrade to these? I've looked at the Bose UC Gen 2 but hear the mic is a downgrade there. I've looked and very nearly bought the Sony WH-1000XM6 until the price jumped back up after not knowing which way to go. Seem some deals on the XM5 but equally seen a lot of reviews regarding the hinges which has put me off.
Can anyone vouch for any of the above, alternate suggestions or do I just keep the Bose 700 and replace the cushions? Obviously a much cheaper alternative but equally had them a while so not against spending some money to replace them!
Just picked up my MBP M5 and connected it to my Dell D6000 docking station which I have used with my M1 for the past few years (albeit only one of the two monitors mirrored).
My M5 appeared to pick up the docking station in one of the USB C slots only but nothing mirrored, nor did any external display appear in system settings. Where am I going wrong?
Few shots taken on the Lumix S9 today with the Panasonic 50mm prime lens.
Few shots from today in Kos
Decided to upgrade my 2020 MBP M1 as started to slow and battery doesn't last as long. I'm very torn on whether to go for an Air or Pro, some context:
Can get the MBP M5 512GB for £1,180 or the MBA M5 512GB for around £935 - both new.
I plan to keep it for 5-6 years like I have with my M1.
Useage wise, it is my main computer. Used both standalone and with monitors. Generally just every day tasks, occasional photo editing.
Do sometimes use it for media, sports and YouTube mainly but also have an iPad Pro which I use for commuting.
What would you go for?
Hi all, looking at changing my 2020 Macbook Pro M1 (8GB ram) and considering the base Macbook Air. Worth the upgrade? My Pro has started slowing down now which is the reason I'm looking to change.
Will mainly be used for the occasional media viewing, Internet browsing and a bit of photo editing.
For those who take a watch on holiday, how many do you take and what is your go to?
My go to for the past few years has been my Omega SMP300, although I have added a bit to my collection since I last went away.
I'm travelling to Greece next week and have decided I will take and alternate between the Omega SMP300, Rolex Explorer and the Tudor BB54 Lagoon blue. All offer something different but feels like the perfect 3.
I'm a bit more cautious when doing city breaks although never had an issue with my Omega (except the one time someone tried taking it from the security box at the airport!)
