I went down to Nottingham to meet some friends and move literally thousands of miniatures around the biggest table I have ever played on.
It was basically three different battles happening at the some time with some crossover. There was the empire relief column coming on at one end and 21ft away skaven and chaos dwarfs attacking up through the mines with a more traditional siege game in the middle.
And won!!
Had our big siege game, the forces of evil managed to come out victorious for the first time in the campaign.
The giants proved pivotal with their ability to absolutely crush the walls, but the siege towers were also worth their weight in lead. I even caught one of my orcs licking one.
Less effective were the rock lobbas, two of which self destructed on the first turn, the third managed to get off a few shots missing everything apart from a couple of allied chaos knights before finally deciding to implode itself.
And on the last turn a unit of orcs made it off the board inside the castle handing them the victory.
It was great fun and can definately reccomend it, it didn't even take as long as we feared it would.
All FDM optimised, not supports needed.
It's made in 10cm long wall sections that can be easily configured into whatever shape fortress you need for your game and comes with a selection of different towers and wall sections.

It seems despite BOYL being cancelled The Battle for Karak Spork will still be taking place in Nottingham that weekend, so I was not off the hook for getting this done.

I picked this up from a bit's box at a small wargames show, but have no idea where it comes from. It's 28mm and looks to have a missing wheel at the back and space to fit another axle to the from. My first guess would be some kind of 3rd party ork buggy, but can't find any thing like it myself.
A recent mini siege game inspired me to come up with scenery for similar games in the future.
So I designed this modular rampart set, which could be used to make a whole host of different defensive structures.

We are gearing up for a full siege game at the moment and thought we would try an attack on a single tower.
It did not go well for the allied forces of orcs and chaos and at the end of the fourth turn (we were going to play five but we ran out of time) the tower was completely unscathed. Despite losing badly I had a great time and am very much looking forward to the big siege game.
I've been asked to help out with putting together one of the big table games at #BOYL this year, so here is the first piece that will hopefully help build Karak Spork.
I've got more dwarf pieces panned for the coming week/months.
