How to care/maintain?

I got my first PLG bag 3 weeks ago. I’m obsessed with it. It’s beautiful. It’s a small meadow koala.

I don’t want the leather to crack/get damaged. What are some care products to take care of it? Conditioners etc?

Ordering anything from the PLG website is very expensive for me, as I’m in Canada, so bonus if the product is available from Amazon.ca

Plastic Free Coffee making - not just French press

Please rave to me about all your favourite plastic free coffee making. I don’t care the price, I’m a coffee nerd. I bought a French press and it is not doing it for me.

Before my plastic free journey I used:
Aeropress - fairly decent, but I don’t like how long/much work it takes to make 1 cup, I’m always making a cup for the spouse as well
Breville espresso machine - this was the ultimate, and I was incredibly sad to lose it in a divorce and could never justify purchasing another. But maybe now I can.

I need a BM 🥺

Day four PO. I’ve tried laxatives, I’ve gone off the pain meds that had constipation as a side effect, the gas really isn’t so bad….
I’m moving around a decent amount.

But I just feel so backed up. That’s what’s making me uncomfortable.

I was in the best shape of my life before this surgery, very active with lots of lean muscle mass.

Any tips appreciated.

It’s here it’s finally here - small koala meadow

After a wild amount of research and lots of questions you all helped me answer my small meadow koala finally arrived. It’s so sturdy, smelled like leather right out of the box. Even my mother, an avid purse collector in her 60s gasped when I opened the box. “You will have that for life” she said as her fingers grasped the leather. The colour is perfect, the finish is perfect. I looked up all sorts of distressing videos assuming I’d want to break it in or wear it down, but I love it just the way it is.

It’s the perfect size to hold my iPhone, wallet, keys, chapstick, pill container, a couple hair ties, and wayfarer sunglasses. Might even get a mini sunscreen in there as well.

In all honesty what inspired me to get this is wanting somewhere to put my wallet, phone, and keys while I wore a sundress and rode the quad around town. I’m summer. And I was tired of shoving my pockets full of my things in the winter. This fits the bill perfectly.

Gate check a guitar?

Hi. I have a 4 hour layover in Calgary. My friend who lives there is leaving the country and wanted to gift me his guitar. WestJet website says it needs to be checked if it’s too big…. But can I just gate check it instead like a stroller?

100% natural fibre sports bras and panties

Hi! Like the title says

I need some with zero elastane.

I work in a heavy arc flash risk environment and I’m looking for cost effective zero percent synthetic fibre sports bras and panties to wear under my clothes

I am small busted and not running or anything, so it doesn’t have to be wildly supportive

Gopher infestation - about to build first garden.

I bought a property. It has a gopher problem. We do not have gophers where I am from.

I plan on solving that in a few ways…. But I’m going to put a brand new garden on this property, and for the first time in my life I get to build and design from scratch instead of working with what was already there. How do I ensure they don’t get in there and steal my food? Raised beds with solid bottoms? Maybe I underlay 1/4” metal mesh under the whole damn thing? I’m open to all suggestions, as I have a very blank very large canvas to work with.

Thank you, people of Columbus. 💗

My fella and I recently drove all the way to Columbus from Canada for Buckeye Country Superfest. We spent a couple days down there, staying at the motel 6 on the west side of town. Thanks to recommendations of people on this sub we went antique browsing in Clintonville.

We had a wonderful time. The biggest thing we noticed was everyone was SO NICE.

Everywhere.

The cashiers at Walmart. The state troopers directing traffic before and after the show. The guy at the ice cream place. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced that amount of unwavering friendliness.

Just wanted to say thank you, you are all lovely. 🥰

Breakfast

Sourdough bread French toast. Local farm eggs mixed with salt and pepper. Topped with fresh strawberries and just a touch of maple syrup.

Rash?

Just showed up yesterday, slightly worse this morning. I think it’s dermatitis but I’m concerned because I was bit by a wood tick in that area 5 days ago.

Spray bottle upped my game!

I was having so much of a struggle trying to get the right amount of water to mix colours or do wet in wet. If you’ve been thinking about grabbing a spray bottle to assist you, this is your sign to do so.

My first landscape

Inspired by an April sunset.

If I could do it again: the orange band of sky would be a lot smaller, and more pigment to a larger blue pan.

Any other tips welcome.

I just switched from a 20$ amazon set to pro grade and HOLY PIGMENT!

But everything keeps turning out so dark.

How are you adding water to your mixing pans? Spray bottle? Dropper? The brush doesn’t see to get enough in there.
