European spots - what puts us in the best place for next year

Easy option first, no europe.

This means we will have a huge advantage in the later parts of the season in particular, just see what Carrick has done.

However as we saw with Arsenal and City sqaud depth is really important.

Europa/conference leagues gives us a chance to use those players, and when we won the conference league we were basically giving fringe players games. It improves them and motivates them and gives them a chance to break into the first team like a loan without a loan.

Which would you guys prefer?

Do you think rule changes are too frequent?

Rule changes always seem to lead to dominance and then just when it gets interesting the big rule change happens and one team dominates again.

Would have loved Hamilton vs Verstappen 2022 rematch

Who deserved the 2021 title?

Forgive me for this stupid question. Please be respectful. And that means not saying 'Lewis tried to end Max at Silverstone' or 'Max deliberately brake checked Lewis'.

Who was unluckier over their career - Alonso or Hulkenberg?

Everyone knows Alonso had bad luck, missed out on WDCs by like 5 points, he was 11 points away from 5 WDCs. Also we all know he made terrible decisions and ends up driving tractors.

Hulkenberg also had bad luck throughout his career especially when it came to seats on the grid that he barely missed out on, through no fault of his own.

Obviously we can say Alonso is faster but who was unluckier?

ALONSO

07 Misses out on WDC by 1pt

08-09 Goes to Renault (terrible choice)

10 Misses out on WDC by 4pts

12 Misses out on WDC by 3pts in vastly inferior car

14 Car is terrible

15-18 Chooses McLaren - car is even worse. Retires

21 Comes back, decent year

22 Gets 8 DNFs from car issues

23 Promising start turns bad with AMR having shocking upgrades

24-26 Terrible car

HULKENBERG

10 Gets pole in Brazil and performs really well in Williams

11 Dropped for Maldonado for financial backing reasons

12-16 Multiple top 5 finishes in midfield car

14-16 Williams is fast

13 Nearly gets Mercedes seat - misses out to Lewis

14-20 Mercedes dominate

15 Nearly gets Ferrari seat - too tall

15-18 Ferrari 2nd best team in F1

20 Dropped for Ocon

20-21 Puts in amazing reserve driver appearances

21 Nearly gets Red Bull seat - misses out to Perez

23-24 Shows really good pace especially in qualifying

25 Shows really good pace especially in races; amazing comeback drives

Car is just bad again

A lot of people hating because it cost Lewis. Martin Brundle's 'genius' was maybe a bit exaggerated but it should be looked at as a 'save' rather than just a 'spin' imo.
