[F1GuyDan] The boots Max Verstappen was wearing when he famously kicked his blown out rear tyre in Baku actually belonged to Liam Lawson.

He had a logistics mishap with his own shoes that race so that’s why he needed a pair and Liam was the only one who was his size.

Piastri is being judged too harshly. He's only in his fourth season.

Lando did amazing in his third year (2021) but you can argue the same for Oscar in 2025. Lando is now the second best driver on the grid and a world champion, so I feel like we need to remember that when judging Oscar. He's still got the inconsistency and tyre weakness but Lando had similar problems (stuggling under pressure, lots of mistakes) as recently as 2024. Oscar has a potential that is at Lando's level if he has a few more years.

People say 'Lando has beaten Oscar three times in a row', but they are forgetting how good Lando is. You can say instead that Oscar finished 14 points behind a WDC last year.

We need a system to give proven talent an F1 seat. The business aspect is going too far.

We saw Sargeant get a seat after getting 4th in 2022, Drugovich won and didn't get one. Sargeant was super rushed because Williams wanted an American driver for sponsor reasons, and it ruined his career. Lost f1 talent just like drugovich, pouchaire

The TV direction was seriously bad and something needs to change

Honestly, it was terrible. It was like there was only 8 cars in the race.

Firstly, we spent most of the race staring at the leading McLarens. When there was no action in the trio behind, just default to the leader.

Once - only once, in the whole race, on lap 61, did we see action from the midfield. That was the Racing Bulls and Hulkenberg fight.

There were so many battles behind. Alonso's alternate strategy. No one knew about it. The leaderboard was changing in the midfield and we would have no idea what was going on. The Racing Bulls have been battling fiercely the last 3 races, but we literally have only seen them once or twice. Sainz and Bearman were battling but we only saw it because it led to Piastri getting impeded.

And to add to that, we didn't see replays unless there was an actual incident. We got no replay of Verstappen's move on Hamilton, no replay of Hadjar being overtaken by 3 cars and letting one more by in the space of two corners.

He needs to move to McLaren

They have shown upgrade potential while Red Bull are stagnant. They are getting more and more top engineers, including GP, while Red Bull are losing engineers every day. If McLaren will take him he needs to go.
