Er hat lauter Suchklappen meaning?

[Solved] Thanks everyone for the replies… When I read it as “Es hat lauter Suchklappen”, it makes much more sense. Thanks again everyone !!!!

Hi! I am reading a German book, and there’s a sentence I’m confused about.

The context is that a girl wants her brother to read an Aufklärungsbuch, and she says:

“Mein Bruder würde das Buch auch mögen. Er hat lauter Suchklappen.”

ChatGPT keeps telling me that Suchklappen is not a real word and that it should be Scheuklappen instead.

So now I’m wondering:

- Is the book wrong?

- And how would you translate this sentence naturally?

Thanks!

Is this guy rude or am I overreacting?

I'm removing the post content as the discussion is becoming too hostile toward one person, but I'll leave the thread up since there are already many comments.

This experience made me realize how awful it feels when a country gets reduced to cheap, generalized content and made me want to be more careful not to make others feel the same way when I meet people from different countries.

And to be clear, this doesnt make me hate swiss people at all. I and hope to visit Switzerland someday

Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts!

Looking for calm/sad English songs recommendations

I really like calm and slightly sad songs like:

- Door by Conan Gray
- Cruel by Holly Humberstone
- We might as well be strangers by keane
- uncover by Zara larsson

Can anyone recommend calm, emotional, maybe slightly melancholic English songs ?

Hi everyone,

I recently finished building a project using Express.js for the backend and React for the frontend. I plan to keep the same backend, but I assume I’ll need a different frontend to publish on iOS.

I’m considering using React Native since I’ve been working with React for about 3 years. Would you recommend going this route?

The app itself is pretty simple

Any advice, experiences, or things I should watch out for would really help.

Thanks!
