I'm replaying original BL after not having played it (the first one) in about 10 years. I have a bunch of old save games/characters on my old XBox360. Im trying to import them to my Xbox Series X but I can't seem to find a way to export the 360 saves. Any insight how to do this?

Here's what I did that did NOT work: load character, change save source to cloud saves, save/exit game, reboot 360 and load game which gives a "syncing cloud saves" message. Then goto Xbox Series X and hit "import character" where I am told no saves exist. 🤬

I'm trying to setup OTA with Tablo for my brother-in-law. We have a low VHF (2), a high VHF (9), and a ton of UHF channels. All the towers are to the west within a 30⁰ or 40⁰ arc and about 40ish miles away. Only one channel is problematic, VHF 9 at night. Crystal clear during the day but pixellated and choppy at night. Naturally this is one of the most important channels for him🤦‍♂️

I put several antennas up on an old DirecTV mount, pointed in the right direction but so far that has been inadequate. I need antenna suggestions for the setup described above. Zip code for BIL is 70819

First time playing BL1 in 10ish years and forgot how I'm supposed to get up to the chest on the ledge above/behind the Fyrestone building with Marcus' machines. I would have included a picture, but rules apparently don't allow that.

Its been so long that I'm having a ridiculous number of "Oh yeah! I remember now!" moments. 🤣 The Xbox store had the remastered GOTY edition on sale for under $10. I had also forgotten how annoying it is to not have some of the BL2/3 conveniences like stash/bank, swap locker, and "teleport from anywhere". Still just as fun as I remember though. Particularly looking forward to the DLCs again.

Every now and then, a Pearl of Wisdom will pop up in an unexpected place. So it was when I encountered a Trial of Ascendancy in act 3 of PoE. To wit: "A leader cannot simply stride forward into the future and expect his people to be able to follow.

That's deep, so very true, and particularly appropriate for this time. Definitely something our current "leaders" should take to heart...

In TOS, one of Kang's men uses the idiom "A thousand throats may be cut in one night by a running man." In TNG, Picard tells them "You may test that assumption at your convenience"and it's obvious the Klingons understand the concept of FAFO. That got me to thinking about other idioms that might have a corollary in Klingonese. The one my older brother always used was "Don't let your alligator mouth overload your hummingbird ass"- essentially, "don't let your mouth get you into trouble your fists can't get you out of." Given Klingon attitude and "machismo", surely there must be a Klingon version of this. Anyone know of it or something similar?

Apologies if this has been discussed before but...

I would love to see a remastered version of original Borderlands, with all four DLCs, and have it include the stash/car/teleport mechanics from BL3/4. To be able to teleport from anywhere to a known teleport station, teleport directly back to your vehicle, and share a large stash with all characters - while doing the BL1 story and DLCs. THAT would be awesome and i would gladly hand Gearbox money for it.

My brother-in-law wants to ditch Cox cable for TV. Anyone successful using antennas for local stations? What have you found that works? What have you found that does NOT work? The initial plan (barring experienced comments to the contrary) is to put an outdoor omnidirectional antenna on an old DirecTV roof mount that is still attached but not used. Has anyone been successful in getting ALL available local channels this way? Or any other way? The idea is to keep costs to a minimum. Subscribing to something like YouTubeTV defeats the intended purpose of saving money. He'll still have to subscribe to a few streaming services to get some content but if he can get all the local channels via antenna, that will minimize subscriptions. What say you all?

Playing base game on Xbox. Really enjoying it BUT found a couple problems that are VERY frustrating to a long time Diablo player.

1. Map resets. Every time I use a waypoint to go back to "town" to sell stuff, when I waypoint back the map resets to "uncovered" and I have to scour the whole thing to find that gateway to the next area again.

2. When using a portal to go back to town, most of the time I can't use the portal to return to where I was. I click on it but nothing happens. Is there some time limit on using a return portal? I have noticed that when I first portal to town, my character name is attached to the portal. After selling/buying stuff, I go back to the portal and it still says where I came from but no longer has my name. I try using waypoints to get around that but then the blasted map reset gets me.

After doing a bit of basic research, there seems to be split opinion on Tablo and perhaps other more capable devices are available. I've always been a cable/Tivo guy so I don't know much about the OTA DVRs. One person recommended HDHomerun. Whatever I recommend for him has to be VERY simple to use, and able to stream Netflix, Disney/Hulu/ESPN, Prime, and HBOMax as well as the OTA broadcast channels. If Tivo was still making DVR hardware, I'd recommend an OTA version of that but the last generation of Tivos were pretty iffy and now out of production. You can still buy refurbed ones from Weaknees but they don't have all the required streaming apps and I'd rather not recommend multiple devices if I don't have to. The Tivo Guide (program listing, TV Guide, call it what you like) is what really sets Tivo apart from similar devices so having something similar in an OTA DVR/streamer would be a significant plus. The selected device will also need to be able to feed at least three TVs and perhaps a phone or two. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts, both positive AND negative about Tablo, HDHomerun, and any other relevant devices. Thanks.

In SNW S3E10 Scotty shows up to the captain's reception in full dress kilt. Does anyone know what (if any) specific clan tartan he was wearing? I would assume that, since the actor portraying Scotty is himself (for once) Scottish, it's the actor's own.

Just getting around to watching SNW season 3 before season 4 starts. The opening scene in episode 4 A Space Adventure Hour. I'm dying laughing as Paul Wesley (Kirk) does a not-so-subtle Shatner impersonation - excessive commas/pauses and over-the-top emoting included. 🤣👍
