The real 36-biradari brotherhood of the Pahad. Those who make the loudest noise often are the ones that are often emptiest.

People may vote based on family trees at the local level, but caste politics is not rooted that deeply in the Pahad.

Dhami is a Rajput. Many hate him, many support him it’s their personal choice. But no one curses him by using his caste, and no one supports him based on his caste. Whether the CM comes from Garhwal or Kumaon, whether he is a Brahmin, Jajman, from an ethnically tribal group, or from any other caste, no one is going to blame his caste based on his performance.

Now look at the surrounding mainland North India. In Uttar Pradesh, people target Yogi Adityanath and his caste. Yadavs have a different party, Nishads have a different party, Dalits have a different party everything is about caste politics there. If Akhilesh Yadav becomes CM, he is going to work for people of his caste; if a Bahujan Dalit becomes CM, he is going to favour only his caste.

Now look at the other neighbour, Haryana. What Chautala did in his time was win by playing the caste card, and in return he favoured Jats in government jobs and other businesses. Till the last election, even people who hate the BJP united against the Jat CM face of Congress and INLD, and it became a 35 vs 1 biradari contest.

Look at Punjab politics the major players are Dalits and Jatts. Congress made Channi (a Dalit) the CM, and the entire Jatt population united and made AAP, a relatively new party in Punjab, win by a majority.

Look at Rajasthan the same Brahmin, Rajput and Jat tussle for the kursi.

We all know Bihar politics despite having all the fertile land and a large population, caste politics has literally killed the state and resulted in the flight of industries from there.

And it is ironic that these mainlanders are the ones who shout “bhaichara, bhaichara” all the time… until it is time for voting. The phrase " Those who make the loudest noise often are the ones that are often emptiest" fits completely here

I believe we should channelize our unity, and vote for those who talk about the real issues of Uttarakhand our language, our culture, education system, healthcare, jobs, the maryada of our mandirs (and not treat them like picnic spots), who promote bagwani and other initiatives in the Pahad, who address the monkey problem and the nasha problem and vote for the development of the Pahad rather than kashmir, pakistan, 370, didi-bhulyo 😷, political hinduism, rafael etc.

It should be the 36 biradari of the Pahad versus outsiders, land mafia, and Bangladeshis, criminal gangs of west up and haryana operating in ddn, haridwar etc

As a gardener, I absolutely hate the people from the jhugii near my home. 🫩

I have an empty plot of about 100 gaj next to my house, and all the hard work feels like it’s going in vain. I’ll tell you the incidents one by one.

My mother grew dhania and arbi ke patte in our garden. One day, a lady from the roadside jhuggi came and stole them. How do I know it was her? My neighbour saw her and shouted at her, and she fled.

Fast forward a few months: my mother grew bhindi and palak. The same lady was in our garden when I caught her at 4 a.m. She started giving cheap laughs and folded her hands in front of me, saying gareeb admi hain age se nahi karenge I called my mother. My mother gave her a Gandhi-style lesson that she should not have stolen it, and if she had asked us, we would have given it to her for free. But stealing is wrong… and so on. Aur ik wo lady ko asar bilkul nahi hua us lacture ka.

Then, about two months ago, my lemon tree of five years finally gave us so many lemons, and I was so happy. I was picking one lemon every day for my lunch and enjoying the garden’s lemons with dal-rice. But my happiness didn’t last long. All the lemons were stolen literally 18–20 full sized lemons. Earlier that week I had caught three little kids from the same roadside slum stealing my lemons, and I know they were the ones who took them.

Yesterday was the last straw. I also have two papita trees. I was watching the papayas grow every day and waiting for them to ripen on the tree. And guess what? Someone stole six semi-ripe papitas. 😔

And earlier, many times my mirchi, palak, and karela have been stolen in the same way.

Aur to aur jab mere ghar me program tha kisi chij ka to same jhuggi wale tent ke andar ghus gaye the and party ke khane wali line me thali leke khade ho gaye.. to mene ek ko laat maar di fir uske ghar walo se jhagda bhi ho gaya.. aesa nahi h ki me classiest hu ya fir kuch aur.. bhai hum hamesha leftover food distribute kar dete hai. Lekin party ke bich me hi ghus gaye wo bhi tent ke niche se..

Btw me sectors me rehta hu.. aur kitni baar jhugiya tod di inki govt ne.. yaaha tak ki buldozer se jameen bhi uchi nichi kar di thi last year. Lekin inhone fir se bana li wahi per jhugi ..

Aur to aur mere papa ka adidas ka pajama bhi chori kar ke le gaye taar per tanga tha kyari me 😔

Kitni low trust society hain.. kisi ki khushiya nahi dekh sakte log..

Sorry for the rant guys.. yaha tak padh liya to thanks 🙏🏻

Castiest like him fuel caste-based hate. Recently we all saw their speeches “give your daughter to SC/dalti men” reducing upper-caste girls to mere objects. And when real caste riots break out, these same DALITS play the victim card in front of world justify reservation

Never going to forget that BJP leaders are in favour of giving ST status to migrant Bangladeshis, while our own Pahadi people are living with medical, school, and college infrastructure that is worse than that of some African countries. It is us Pahadis Deserve ST Status, Not Migrant Bangladeshis

What 2.75 cr gets you in the USA... For the same price you would get a cramped 2 story House in zirakpur. Or a matchbox size Builder floor in chandigarh

Are People on the Internet Really That Naive? Do They Seriously Think Others Are Going to Live Their Lives According to Their Rules?

every time I open this Reddit app, the only posts that come into my feed are things like:

“I am 5'6, will a girl date me?”

“I am the dusky, will a guy ever love me?”

“Is money above love? My gf left me for someone in an arranged marriage who earns more than me”

“My crush left me for a better-looking girl his parents chose.”

Women always seek someone who is doing better than them on all fronts. And men literally chase beauty every time

It is only recently that we have developed the habit of applying the equality thing at an ultra pro max level to every aspect of our world. We have literally started shaming people by saying things like:

“You yourself are dark, how can you have a preference for a fair partner?”

“You yourself are not earning much, how can you have a preference for someone rich?”

“You yourself live in a rented house, how can you have a preference for someone who owns a house and lives separately from his parents?”

“You yourself are not a bhirgin, how can you prefer a bhirgin?”

“You yourself are 5'2, how can you prefer guys who are 5'11–6'0++?”

I mean, people think they have some sort of authority to balance out the world, and those who don’t follow their equality rules are going to be punished by being shamed publicly. I mean, when these people are going to grow up, God knows.

Taksh Gupta(CEO-iitiimshadi.com) revealed what we look for

So I was watching his interview on Raj Shamani’s podcast. He said that data never lies and that he solely believes in data what people are actually looking for rather than what they claim.

Almost all male profiles, when opened by women, are first checked for the salary and package section. On the men’s side, they first look at the girl’s pictures and then check her education and job details.

I mean, if someone is still blind enough and believes what others say that looks, skin colour, beauty, and money don’t matter then that person is naive. People simply lying because they don’t want to be judged for their preferences. We Indians are the best at judging others for their preferences and then shaming them. That’s why most people lie when asked, just to appear neutral and save their energy.

If someone is not good-looking but, because of his package, he is getting good-looking matches, he is definitely going to pick them. And if a girl is getting a guy who earns 2x or 3x what she earns, and if she is going to pick him, she will definitely pick him.

Only if we stop judging others for their preferences and start respecting individuality will people perhaps start telling the truth about what they are looking for in a guy or a woman. Till then no same person gonna tell you what he/she is looking for

My POV around inter-cultural and inter-ethnic marriages, and the negative PR against Pahadis. (Let's end this debate)

About the photo - Begum Raana a.k.a sheila pant (born in Almora, Kumaon, and a supporter of the Pakistan Movement and the breaking of India), the First Lady of Pakistan.

The thing is, Pahadi society follows a male lineage. You are a Rawat, Bisht, Tamta, Negi, Ranta, Shilpkar, Arya, Thakur, Mahara, etc., because your forefathers were from the same lineage. So it is up to you where our culture is going to stand in the next generations. Even after 500 years from now, your descendants are still going to be around. It is up to you to protect and spread your culture, language, food, history, and dresses.

Marriage is a personal choice, and there is no point in fighting with someone who has already made up their mind, whether they want to marry a desi or a foreigner. Just tell them “Ram Ram” and leave the conversation.

Yes, there is nothing like half-Pahadi. Either you are born of a Pahadi father or you are not a Pahadi.

And let us not forget what our ancestors made and taught us: respect for women, no dahej, no ghunghat, equality, and creating a protective and safe environment for everyone in the village.

Yes, we are not like mainlanders, and we should never even try to become like them. We are known for our bravery, hard work, honesty, and high-trust society.

And about that rage-bait content on reels and shorts: these are created to rage-bait and taunt Pahadis in a way that says “we won your women” or this and that. The thing is, it is part of their culture to treat women as a commodity that can be sold, purchased, and won as a prize. And indeed, those girls are also part of that game. So it is better not to engage with them. She is no more Pahadi, neither are her kids going to adopt her surname. She is just trying to punch above the clouds to cover her insecurity or trying to gain followers Nothing can be done, tbh

Either you follow things like culture, religion, or ethnicity, or you don’t. The only rasam in a Pahadi wedding that is above all is kanyadan. Once the family gives their daughter’s hand to another person, the culture, the kul devis and devtas, and the rituals, lineage all follow from her husband’s side. So let them make their reels or whatever they are doing they are no more one of us.

There are many women around India who are fascinated by and admire Pahadi culture. You both can marry eachother if you both are interested in each other. They are 10x better. ( I'm talking about girls like her who admire our culture - https://youtube.com/shorts/pcb_g50Swb8?si=XPkxa2VOjOxHmb-n ) And there are many more like her.
