I made a roster of 512 characters for a Lego X-Men game. It took me DAYS, but I think I did a good work.

I've seen this idea brought up from time to time, but nothing similar to an actual roster.

If someone wants to know if a roster with this amount of characters is possible, this are the amount of playable characters in other Lego games:

- Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2: 300 characters

- Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga: 455 characters

This is very delusional, but one can only dream.

This could be an entire Saga like the Lego Star Wars Game.

Hey guys! I watched Supergirl last night and I wanted to share my experience.

I'm going to start saying that I'm from Lima, Peru. We are a more conservative culture than the US, very severe with "woke" media. Even with this, my theater was almost full. Lots of people than you would see in any blockbuster (both men and women, group of friends, couples, families with kids, etc)

I went with my parents who are in their early 50's. My mom is a very conservative christian white woman. My dad is a conservative man. I've always loved super heroes. I went to almost every opening night for all of the MCU and DC movies since I got memory. This is important, since my parents hated/found boring/ or literally fell asleep during movies like Captain Marvel/The Marvels/Birds of Prey/Madame Web/WW 1984. So went I told them to go with my to this one, they weren't that excited, even if they liked Superman (2025).

Well, they really REALLY liked the movie. Probably is up there for them at the same level as Wonder Woman (2017). I know people hate Gal Gadot's acting, but fun fact: here in South America, the voice actress that dubbed the movie to spanish did such an amazing work that it improved the movie a lot.

What I liked: The pace of the movie felt right (not slow or rushed). The mixed between comedy and drama was great (Not like Love and Thunder were it felt like a bad mix). Lobo was so much fun, we want to see him in more projects. The movie gives you te proper amount of screen time with him, so you feel like it's not just a cameo, but lets you keep the intrigue of what's his backstory. Milly Alcock was perfect, finally a super charismatic and great female lead in a super hero movie. It had plenty action scenes (which some of these movies lack). The flashbacks were amazing, watching the fall of Krypton an Argo City was smt that made us connect with Kara on a deeper level. I watched tons of movies, and I didn't find the message of the movie generic at all. Kara feels like her own character, not just gender swapped Superman. It was also refreshing seeing her struggle and go through some rough things like getting poisoned, stabbed with kryptonite arrows, almost dying by a green sun (not pretty common in these films). Ruthye's dynamic with Kara and Lobo was great. The villain didn't seemed generic to me, he was both fun and intimidating when the movie needed it, neither felt out of character. I didn't expected him to kill the daughter of that couple too, it shocked the whole theater. Kara's dynamic with Clark was also amazing. I liked the amount of time that they gave him. It really shows why this character's matter and what's their point in the story. I loved the little bus driver's sidekick, he was so funny. Kara saving people was really heroic idk why people say she doesn't have any of this. The costume design is flawless, idc that she wears the suit just in the end, it was earned, makes sense.

What I didn't liked that much: As other fans were saying, the marketing for this movie was kind of heavily leaning towards a faithful adaptation of Woman of Tomorrow. I didn't mind the sepia tone of the movie, and I get that Kara is depressed, but It doesn't add anything to the movie. In my opinion, Gunn should've said f*ck the one trick pony thing, and just use what worked in the Guardians trilogy. And it is a fact that the book that is based on is one of the most beautiful comics of all times. Gunn has already proved that he can make anything feel so alive. Maybe he needed to be the director. This also goes to Krypto in general. I liked him in the movie, but I feel like this could have been their chicken with the golden eggs, an opportunity to sell an absurd amount of merch based on Krypto. I feel like the flashback where Kara meets him it's not memorable. I get that he's wounded for most of the film, but imo Gunn directing could've handled it better to at least have more iconic moments with him. Ruthye was fine, it's difficult to ask much from child actors, but I think it's more of a script/directing aspect when working with them, and actors in general. While there were a lot of fight sequences, I feel like in some moments they went with poor decisions, like a pov of Ruthye, not showing the fight at all. While I liked the pacing, it was bc it wasn't a boring movie. But I feel like they could've made us feel the desperation of Kara a little more, just a couple of shots of the clock ticking and the time running out. Finally, the soundtrack. I liked it, but in the final battle it felt very underwhelming. Idk if it was just me and don't know how it really works, but if they had such a banger as Call Me by Blondie, and it was in all of the promos, why it wasn't featured in the movie at all? I could swear that the whole theater was constantly waiting for an epic theme in the final fight, and it didn't reached its potential.

This should've been the opening to the space corner of the DCU. I can't help but bring my major on marketing and say that it should've had post credit scenes. Lanterns already being filmed, I would had allow the audience to get hyped for that. Maybe Idk maybe smt for Kara, like showing a collection of cities in miniature, and one of them says "Argo City", connecting this movie to Superman's sequel, idk.

I hope this doesn't seem like there's tons of things that I didn't enjoyed. I really liked the movie. It's more of a "damn this could have been better if they handled this different".

This is a solid movie, this is Supergirl. Sadly, I have a few notes on why I think it's not getting much love. It was weird that they released it just in between Toy Story 5 and the new Minions movie (which people are going to see no matter how good or bad they will be). Not a superhero fatigue, but a female hero solo movie. Wonder Woman was a success bc it was a good movie after years of not having a super lady movie (the only ones being Elektra and Catwoman, both horrible and like 10 years before the movie). Imo Supergirl comes at a time where we already had tons of disasters in this specific genre, still fresh. Word of mouth is pointless here, since "fans" of a certain previous movie universe were trying to destroy this movie and this universe even way before the release. I'm not talking about the people that watched it and didn't liked it, but the tons of sensationalist pages trying to boycott the movie. Taking out of context the interview where Milly was being friendly and kind to a random reporter who asked her about LGBT stuff.

With this I'm not trying to hate the fans of the previous universe, I really liked some of those movies too. Some fans of this new universe are definitely toxic too, there's all kind of people in every fandom. But It's just sad that the DC community is so pointlessly divided that they rather destroyed everything in their way, than trying to find a rational way to be heard and build a supportive an united fandom.

I love The Avengers Forever cover, but for me, this is THE AVENGERS picture that I want to recreate in my display - Avengers 50th Anniversary by Daniel Acuña.

Which female vanguards are in your top 10? This are the ones that I would love to see in the game.

Art by Cultural_Ad4203 (Reddit), shim0rin (Instagram), and Byctorart (Instagram).

1 Captain Marvel. Absolutely love this design. It's kind of rare that she wasn't in the original roster.

  1. Medusa. Even if some say it's unlikely, I love that a part of the fandom wants some inhumans in the game.

  2. She-Hulk. Even if her live action counterpart wasn't popular, she's an iconic marvel character. I need Rivals to do her justice. I wouldn't mind if she's a legendary for Hulk, if that brings her to the game, but I would love to see her as her own thing.

  3. Monet St. Croix. If it were for me, this entire list would be full of X-Men characters. But I get that we're getting many already. So, I tone it down to just 2 characters. She has a very unique kit of abilities that would instantly make her a perfect candidate without having to create smt with chronovium to make her different from the rest. She's super strong, fast, invulnerable. Has some degree of physic powers. And was cursed by her brother so she can turn into a ruby skinned demon.

  4. Jessica Jones. I think she can be way more than just a brawler. I saw an awesome concept where she uses her abilities as a detective, such as her camera to stunt enemies.

  5. America Chavez. I picture her as a mix of Rogue and Doctor Strange. It would be a really interesting kit. I saw one person saying that in her ult she could teleport everyone into a different map. That would be wild!

  6. Armor. I'm really hoping that she gets added. Astonishing X-Men is one of the best mutant books out there. She could have cool team-ups with the other members of the team.

  7. Agatha Harkness. Either as an old lady or the younger version. I think she would be so much fun as a vanguard. It really suits her personality. Idk do you guys consider her an anti-hero or a villain at this point?

  8. Misty Knight. Another cool character from the street level heroes. Like in Mystic Mayhem, you can have her revolver have a unique ability to make her different from characters like Bucky. Also, her arm would serve as a shield, and maybe to throw people.

  9. Valkyrie. We have Hulk, Doc Strange, and Namor. We only need Silver Surfer and her to complete the OG Defenders team. This is the version that I grew up with, but I don't mind if you guys prefer the one from the MCU. You can have her use her famous sword made with a dragon's fang. Use her pegasus to fly around the map. She even has some degree of mystical powers due to her duty of guiding souls to Valhalla.

I know we need more villains. I'm keeping them for another list :D

Avengers International / Hey guys! I saw this concept and I thought on making a similar one but taking in consideration ideas that some folks wanted.

There's technically one character for each continent. But even if a single character doesn't represent a whole population, I thought on having some additional spots that the original post didn't had. (I don't mean to disrespect the person from the og post, this is just bc some of us considered that it would've been cool to add more spots).

So, as the previous one:

- Black Panther has the spot for Africa. And he's team leader.

- Captain Britain is the second in command, taking the spot for Europe.

Now the first difference:

- Sunspot rightfully joins for South America. I love you king.

- Sasquatch earns the spot for North America. (For the folks out there that also wanted two different spots).

Second difference:

- White Fox joins the team for Asia. As a member of the NIS, it only makes sense. Plus, in any other team I wouldn't mind a sausage party that much. But with the whole concept for this one, it feels right to at least have one person from the other half of the world's population.

- Boomerang wins the spot from Oceania. His journey to become a reformed villain starts here.

- Zabu and Ka-Zar get some deserved love, representing Antartica.

- The OG post had a special spot for aliens, atlanteans, etc. So, I think it's fair that Silver Surfer gets to hang out with some unique heroes to satisfy my Defenders nostalgia.

The 3 bonus spots:

- As the most populated country in the world, I think it would've been nice to have a spot for India. So I think Pavitr Prabhakar could get to the 616 to be our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

- Just as India, I think the second most populated country also deserves a spot. So Shang-Chi joins the team representing China.

- The third one I picked it for many reasons. It's the spot for the biggest country, the character that also represents another dimension, magic user, and the coolest X-Character. Magik is the final hero on the team, and I'm so happy about it.

Do you guys like the team? Which villains do you think they could face? Any respectful ideas are welcomed.

Native American characters I would like to see im the game.

- Warpath (Vanguard): He would either fight hand to hand with his knife, or throw them to add more vanguards that aren't brawlers. He could also move jumping/climbing through the walls in the map, maybe even the ceiling. You could give him an ability to look into a certain point in the other end of the map. Maybe even have some effects that manifest in which directions the enemies are moving. He also has vibranium knives given by Storm. This could be a team-up. Ororo is married with T'Challa in game, so if Warpath and Storm are teaming up, she upgrades his knives with vibranium.

Art by Daveherzenart

- Dani Moonstar/Mirage (Strategist): Dani is one of the most underrated X-Characters out there. She has a lot of unique abilities. Her psychic/empathic powers allows her to create illusions based on the fears of others. This also gives her the ability to shoot psychic arrows and talk to animals. So, her primary fire would be psychic arrows. With an ability to cast illusions in front of enemies to distract them or help allies or herself to retreat. She could have a passive ability that shows her the "aura" of the enemies. This would come in different colors, so, for example, if the aura turns red it means that enemy has reached an "angry state" = reached their ult". She could summon animals to go with allies to protect them. If that's not enough, she was also a valkyrie, so she's crazy skilled in combat too. I picture this similar as White Fox, so Dani would have an ability to change to dual axes to combat closer. This would also allow her to enter Valkyrie mode in her ult, so she would summon her Pegasus, Brightwind, and heal allies, from the sky.

- Echo (Duelist): I think duelist fits her better, but I also think that if any Marvel Knight/hero for hire ish character works as a support, she could be one of them. Like Daredevil she has a disability, so I think it would be interesting to have a way to bring that into the game to add smt unique. I would like her to have a similar ability like Rogue, where she can copy other characters skills, but what if it's the other half. Like, there's certain characters that Rogue can't steal their abilities, bc they "have no powers". But Echo copies skills, so that would be cool.

- Forge (Strategist): I've heard rumours of him coming to the game, so I'm not going to elaborate much with him. I think he could be a really cool support. You can even add some krakoan technology like the one from the image.

- Greycrow (Vanguard) He's a technopath similar to Forge, but he's mainly focused in creating all sorts of weaponry with the components in his armor. I loved him in Hellions. But he was pretty much a villain all of his life. If you want smt more visual, I could imagine him being like the Engineer from the new Superman movie, that would be sick. He also has a healing factor.

- Shaman (Strategist): He has a lot of cool abilities. One of his perks is that he carries a bag with a pocket dimension, from which he can summon tons of differents magical objects and potions. He could have a similar ability to Black Cat with the store to reflect his pocket dimension. He can float and has an eagle helmet that can summon his familiar. I see this as an evasive move. He could use his magical staff to summon the spirits of nature.

Don't know if this has been talked about before: Due to Luke Cage being one of the most iconic black heroes in Marvel, How do you think they would make him unique enough? Since he doesn't have many distinctive abilities besides the unbreakable skin.

Obviously he would be a Tank. I like both classic and modern design, but I think the first would allow him to use some unique weapons.

- We have some brawlers already, so I was thinking that he can use his bracelets to take/charge some damage. Is it to Wonder Woman coded?

- Also he could use his chain belt, but it should be in a unique way so it's not that similar to Ghost Rider when they add him.

- His unique ability would be deflecting attacks to do long range damage.

Do you have more ideas? I think he totally deserves to be in the game. He has been in so many popular teams: Avengers, Fantastic Four, Heroes for Hire, OG Defenders, Thunderbolts.

I need some help with this Moira MacTaggert idea.

I like the actual figure, but I wanted a pinless/digital faceprint Moira. Does the head from the Wasp and Hank Pym 2 pack fits well in the body of Psylocke?

u/Due_Rock_3118 — 3 months ago

Hi! I'm not a professional in making character's power-sets in video games, so any suggestions or other concepts are totally welcome. Also trying to avoid as many duelists as possible, we have like a million already.

- Oya (Duelist): I love the importance that Idie is gaining in the X-Men. Her new suit is sick! It would be so cool to have her combining Ice and Fire to fight/move in the battlefield.

- Bishop (Vanguard): It's kind of obvious. I bet a lot of people have already pull some awesome concepts out there, so I'm not even trying with him. I just want him in the game.

- Monet St. Croix (Vanguard): This is not the most popular X-Character, but one of the most unique ones (read X-Factor Investigations, thank me later). If you don't know her, she can fly, has super strength, and invulnerability. But also she has certain degree of psychic powers. And to add something extra she can turn into a weird red creature that I don't even remember what it is, but the design is so cool. Plus, she's got the ability of being super rich like Batman. She has it all. It would be a miss not to add her to the game.

- Cecilia Reyes (Strategist): She would have a primary fire that allows her to heal. She can use a shield like a kneepad to kick an enemy, and each time, she would gain a breastplate symbol (similar to Mantis). With this she can then gave each shield to a certain ally. She could also gave herself a full shield armor for a certain time. For her ult, I want to borrow that moment in Astonishing X-Men, when she enhances her shield to protect all of her team (while they were trapped under the earth). She would use a full shield bubble that would allow her and her allies to move through the field without being damaged. The teammates can choose if they want to stay in the bubble or not, but different to Invis, the enemies can't cross the bubble. This wouldn't last very long, but it would go at a decently fast speed.

- Synch (Duelist): Some folks in the fandom are not big fans of Synch due to his similarity with Rogue. I get it, I'm a huge Rogue fan. But Synch is still really cool. I think to make them different in terms of powers, he can go with that rainbow aura of him dealing damage and then literally "synch" with one of his teammates. As long as he doesn't go too far from them, he gains their abilities. For his ult, he could use that aura too synch with multiple allies and use all of their powers, but one after another (at the same time would be too OP).

- Maggot (Vanguard): I've seen a concept where he can send Eenie and Meenie to feed on the environment, so he can gain more strength, and honestly sounds pretty cool.

- Tempo (Strategist): I've seen some concepts for Quicksilver as a Strat, and I honestly prefer him as a Duelist (it just fits him). But, Tempo could totally be a creative strategist while being a "speedster". Her powers allow her to manipulate time. She can go through the battlefield, searching for the healing packs, and then return to give her teammates double healing or smt like that. Idk if that would be to OP, so maybe it would have a longer gap each time she uses it.

- Gentle (Vanguard): Gentle is a wakandan mutant with actual vibranium tattoos that helps him with his powers. He's super strong and can modify his body mass. This could be a really cool mix of powers in the game. I'm thinking about a mix between The Thing, Black Panther, and even Giant Man if he gets in the game.

- Prodigy (Strategist): I like this new look for Prodigy. She reminds me of a classic sidekick like Robin. I picture him using many gadgets to heal his teammates. Maybe some to help him move through the map. Maybe, in his ult, with his powers he knows how the powers of the enemies supports work and create a weapon to give that extra healing ability to the team.

- Darwin (Vanguard): I really like First Class, but the disrespect to Darwin is still crazy. He's basically inmortal. Deadly Genesis was a wild event, and then he got added to the most goated team of all time (X-Factor Investigations). You can do literally anything with his kit. Counter many and random abilities from the enemy team, idk just imagine.

- Frenzy (Vanguard): Okay, I love Frenzy, but she doesn't have any distinctive ability. As a character is very fun tho, so it's just a matter of getting creative with her kit. Look other fighting games and take inspiration from there.

- Cipher (Strategist): She has a phasing ability, similar to Kitty Pryde. I would love to have Kitty in the game (she's very popular so maybe she's coming at some point), but honestly they would have different skill-sets. Kitty would definitely have Lockheed, plus a sword would be cool. Cipher can phase, turn invisible, and float around. Think of a mix of Invis powers in the game with the hypothetical powers of Kitty in the game as well. Maybe she can have a special ability that allows her to see and heal through the walls or some solid objects. It would be could if for her ult, she can bring her pal Graymalkin, climb in his back and go through the battlefield doing damage/healing.

- Bling! (Vanguard): She has a similar ability as Emma, with a diamond skin form. But what makes Bling different is that she actually can manipulate these diamonds to be in the shape and size that she wants. And also, she can throw these at range, this would be her primary fire. Her other abilities will include her power to change the shape of her diamonds into some form of weapon, like a morning star. For her ult she would spin to create tornado that throws sharp diamond knives. Not as big or powerful as Storm's ult, but with more range.

- Feral (Vanguard): She might be similar to Wolverine (or other characters that I want added too like Wolfsbane and Tigra). So I was thinking, they would 100% add Sabertooth at some point, so she can be a legendary skin for him. She's more similar to him than to Logan imo. I know it's a bit delusional to have her as Sabertooth's legendary skin, but one can only dream.

- Manifold (Strategist): Ok, I love my teleporters, so it's kind of difficult to making each of them different enough to shine for themselves. Manifold is a universal shaper, which allows him to talk to the universe and create portals that stay for as long as he wants. I would translate this to him being able to create portals that stay way more longer but only as he gains stats during the party. If he does enough certain amount of healing/damage he can make a portal that last certain amount of time. He would also have his spear as his primary attack, but with some range damage (similar to gambit).

- Sunspot (Vanguard): Some might say he could be a Human Torch legendary skin, but I think Sunspot has that Vanguard aura in him. I'm pretty sure that his powers also include super strength, so that would be cool. Rivals is a goofy game, so I'm thinking he could summon a big sun and kick him to the ground like if it was a ball (due to his passion for soccer). I don't think he would just be throwing fireballs. I picture him kind of like Angela, he can fly, but he also fights in the ground. Throwing punches that push back the enemy.

- Angel Salvadore (Strategist): She's last on the list bc her story is a bit problematic and disappointing. But Hear me out, imagine all the pretty skins that Angel can get if she gets the Aisha treatment (Winx Club). How cool would that be? She would be a flying support with really good movement (accurate to Grant Morrison's run). Her primary fire would be her acid spitting (health to teammates/damage to enemies). She also has very strong wings so she could stun enemies. The flutter of her wings could also give allies a shield made of air or smt like that. Her ult could be summoning her children to go with every teammate, adding shield or health, plus spitting acid to close enemies.

I have half of these, so I couldn't recreate it through photography. If somebody has all of them, I envy you. Specially that Galactus Haslab.
