Can anyone tell the type of cichlids these are? Just saved them they are in my newly cycled 20 gallon with 2 small plecos.
Fishless cycle day 9, leaves of plants are starting to decline… is this normal? No ammonia present at the monent but showing nitrates and nitrites. Algae is starting to appear so i am cutting back on light

Beginner here, just got a 20g and am starting this journey!! Whats your preferred substrate mix? I was thinking of doing Fluval Strat & bio strat with a sand cap? Or ive seen people do potting soil with a sand cap? Would love some recommendations!
