Intense vertigo this morning…

Hello just wondering if someone can tell me if this sounds like cervical vertigo. I’ve been having vertigo since July 6 and it was sudden onset. It was gradually getting better and my ent said it was vestibular neuritis in right ear. I’m supposed to be doing exercises but I haven’t been (I know dumb me, I’m a very bad procrastinator and mom of 3 so I’m a pro at not doing the important things). Well during my period last week I was feeling a bit more again and then this week since Wednesday I was not good. Yesterday was ok at night before bed (I drove a lot yesterday evening btw). This morning I was sitting after morning prayers and decided to stretch my neck by putting ears down to shoulders and then turning down towards floor. Left side was ok but when I did that on right side…😬 probably not a good idea! After that it was bad. I tried to lie down in one room but felt sweaty and uncomfortable. Then I went to my room only my back, ok for a minute as long as I did some breathing but my mind was racing and I couldn’t stop it which made me more anxious and more dizzy (also my maintenance inhaler dulera causes jitters and that was making it worse too). Tried right side but suddenly had to number 2. Went for that and then took blood pressure which was normal, came back to my bed and laid down and Google told me calm myself and tell myself the jitters were just from the meds, to breathe in slo and out slo and longer etc. I kept doing that and pivoting my brain from trying to think negative or distracting thoughts. Finally I was sleepy enough that I fell asleep. (I did contemplate going to emergency but I wanted to tackle this on my own if possible so I could prove to my brain that we can get through it…can’t go to emergency everytime and REALLY DO NOT want to take meclizine! Makes me soooooo sleepy). It’s been about 3 hours and I woke up. I have not stood up or walked around. Kinda scared. Anyway we’ll see but this started when I stretched my neck…I also get tech neck pain which seems to make vertigo feel worse or more present…? Part of me feels like if this happens again I should just go to ER and see if they’ll do all the tests to rule stuff out? 😭this is so difficult.

Jitters from dulera advice!

Hi all I’m kinda new to the asthma club. My asthma is pretty mild. I started on dulera in March and I’m supposed to take it 2 times morning and 2 times evening but I can only take 2 times before bed bc of the tremors/jitters 😩 if I take it in the morning, sometimes even one puff, the tremors really throw me off and I cannot focus on anything. At night I can sleep through the worst of it (although sometimes I feel like it’s still happening the next day a bit). To make matters worse I’ve been having vertigo issues too and having jitters makes me feel anxious or unbalanced and it’s just too much for my brain. 😭 is there any way to stop them or minimize them? Any advice? It sucks. If it wasn’t for that I would be taking the full prescribed dose.

Copper IUD cause vertigo?

Anyone have experience with Copper IUD causing or worsening vertigo? I’ve always had dizziness or vertigo issues but they were very mild until 2023 when I started getting weird more pronounced symptoms from time to time but they would get better within hours or a day.

Then in Feb 2026 I got the copper IUD (also started dulera inhaler in March for asthma issues). I had a middle of the night vertigo one night end of March (not sure if it was around period).

May 29 (2nd day of period) I had a weird weakness/vertigo episode. Took meclizine in evening and next day I was good.

July 6 (after end of period) got a full on vertigo attack which just wouldn’t go away but it has slowly improved although not 100%. I still get days where it’s more noticeable. ENT said it seems to be vestibular neuritis.
Currently I’m on my period and it seems like it’s worse than usual. Wondering if it can be related to increased blood loss during period…

Thoughts?

Any suggestions for my baby?

10 months old and he falls asleep on his own for naps and bedtime but he wakes every 2 hours and wants milk to go back to sleep. Bedtime is not the problem, it’s the night wakings 😪 I’m so over it now! 😩 any advice? He takes 2 naps during the day (sometimes happens in the car but if he’s tired enough and I get home I can even transfer him to the crib and he’ll sleep more). Naps are at the least an hour sometimes more (this changed recently bc he used to take like 2 hours naps lol). I’d say he’s awake 3.5 hours between naps and the last stretch is about 4? I honestly have no idea bc days are so busy and our schedule is unfortunately not the same everyday 😪

He sleeps in a pack and play close to my bed in my room. I moved it like 2 inches further last night so I wouldn’t immediately get up and put the bottle in his mouth (since that’s the fastest route to us both going back to sleep). I want to try and give him a few mins to try and sleep on his own.

also wanted to mention I only give him 2oz when he wakes sometimes even 1 oz. Closer to the morning I may give him more but I try to keep it minimal.

anyway all I want to know is if someone has had this type of baby and if you were successful in sleep training. Thanks!

Need encouragement to start again 😪

I’m 36f mom of 3 and life is just a bit chaotic right now. My baby doesn’t sttn so I’m not able to wake up earlier than everyone else. Once the kids are awake I just feel like it’s too hectic to go workout (even tho from Jan- mid Feb I was doing that). Counting calories, making sure to enough protein on top of all the other life things 😖 i so so want to do it but i just…can’t bring myself to do it. I stopped in February bc of asthma issues and Ramadan and then we traveled a few times and im so disorganized and my mind is all over the place…I can’t seem to focus or organize anything. Maybe this needs to be posted in a mental health group 😅 I just need people (especially moms like me maybe? Or people who have fixed their chaotic disorganized lives?) to give me encouragement and motivation etc. I’m honestly just hoping something someone says will be that push I need to get back into it.

Sorry this post is all over the place but that’s legit what my brain feels like almost all the time. 😩

Baby travel system question

Can I gate check baby’s car seat, stroller base AND detachable stroller seat? I’ve gate checked the car seat and stroller base before without issues but this time I want to bring the stroller seat too bc we’ll be walking a lot in NYC and I want him to be able to lie down and sleep comfortably is he wants…TIA!

In Dayton: how much can a cake like this sell for?

Disclaimer! I’m not trying to sell this on reddit! Just trying to get pricing ideas. Hope that’s ok.
6”, four coconut layers, 2 layers with lime curd, one with coconut cream/pudding and toasted shredded coconut. Covered and piped in coconut flavored meringue buttercream. This is the first cake I’m trying to sell and I really don’t know what to put it at and how much people are willing to pay for custom. I want to point out that there are some flaws like uneven piping and some spots where the frosting coat is a bit mis colored (due to erasing mistakes lol 🫣) and all in all it’s not a masterpiece but I mean…it is custom hand made and it’s not that ugly…? 😅 if I do say so myself. I’m still learning but I looooove baking and making cakes 🥹

I love chocolate chip cookies and that’s pretty much all I crave when I’m craving sweets, so I make them often. I also typically love to try different recipes from all over the internet (with good reviews and yummy pics). Problem is I want my cookies to be a little thick. Not levain thick but like…I want them not to deflate when they come out the oven. They’ll puff up nice in the oven and then flatten after coming out. Not like super thin or anything but not as thick as I’d like. I know this science and that’s supposed to happen for the most part but what can I do to get that thicker cookie? My baking soda and baking powder are still good btw (I tested them). Maybe my oven temp is off so I’m going to test that tomorrow. I always refrigerate. Does a cookie that’s made in a mixer come out with more structure than one that you mix by hand perhaps? Softened but still cool butter recipes better than those recipes calling for browned butter (which is cooled afterwards ofc)? I mean it should be the same as long as the butter is firmed up again right? Really craving this cookie!! Thanks in advance!
