Speed Updates

Hello, I made a post a while ago about haveing slow internet speeds. After a lot of thought and checking around in my area and everyone seemed to think that Xfinity was trash, and AT&T was the best in my area. I called and they gave me a promotion for switching. $58 a month for 1 Gbps fiber internet, plus a $200 Visa gift card for switching. Just got it set up and here are the results! Amazing difference compared to what I had. BTW this is Half of what I was paying to Xfinity per month for 400 Mbps, and only receiving 210 Mbps. Overall I'm happy so far.

Replacing The Interior Mirror

Does anyone know the easiest way to replace the inside rear view mirror? I got a replacement that is also a dash cam, and I don't want to accidentally break something inside the truck. The arm mount and mirror itself need to go, since the dashcam has its own arm. Thank for your help!

One Shock On, One To Go.

Thanks to all of your comments on my previous post, I was able to get one of my front shocks installed, and the other one halfway done. Thank you all for your help and advice!

Well... That Went Well

I bought the Harbor Freight spring compressor for $120 to put new Bilsteins on my Tacoma, and I'm not sure if it was user error or flawed design, but the only way to get the spring off was to cut the pins.

Edit: I'm not going to return as now I see that it was my own fault. Also, my first time ever replacing shocks, using a spring compressor, and first time ever breaking a HF tool.

Polish Cockroach: TKS Tankette

My (mostly) historically accurate tank. Its my first attempt at a realistic tank as a new player, so I hope its decent.

Internet Speeds (Xfinity)

I have Xfinity WiFi 500mbps, and am using an up to date Framework laptop. Is this a normal speed for downloading Blender? I'm using Opera browser with no limits on, and up to date. I just updated my computer (That's the peaks in cpu), but even still Blender is going to take 20 min to install?! I'm right next to the router, and I have a mesh network to try and get better signal. Is this just me or is it Xfinity? I'm thinking about switching to at&t...

Suspension Install Help

Hey everyone, I was trying to replace the front suspension on my truck, but I'm not sure how to get the lower mount in place. I need to compress the suspension while not pushing the lower arm up so I can put the pin through. The lower arm is not able to flex down enough, even when I stand on the wheel hub and have someone else try and do the suspension. Any ideas on how to get it in place, and a better way to install this for the other side so I don't run into this problem? Thanks!

Electrical Ground Screw Shared Off

Hello everyone, I was adding a dashcam hardwire kit to my truck, and when I tried to unscrew a ground screw it completely sheared off. It's the one where the battery cable grounds too. I don't have a welder, and don't know what else I could use. Anyone have any clue what I could try? Thanks.

New Shock Absorbers!

Just upgraded my shocks from the 25 year old Bilstein 4600s to new Bilstein 5100s. Harbor Freight tools got taken out of the display case for this one. 😂

Tools used:

Icon Jeeper Creeper

Pittsburg flex socket wrenches

Pittsburg sockets

Pittsburg 6 ton jack stands

Badlands 3 ton jack

Pittsburg torque wrench

Probably more I'm forgetting. XD

Update On Fixing CRT, Still Need Help

Hey everyone, I found a service Manuel for my CRT, but it is not very easy to understand. I was told that a capacitor might be blown causing my issues, but from my extremely limited experience they look fine. Does anyone have any idea from the video what might be wrong? Here is the original post showing my issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/crt/s/93nNy1gTcP

Thanks for the help!

Anyone Know How to Get This Working?

Hey, frist time posting here, I'm new to CRTs for the most part. Had an old CRT growing up since we couldn't afford a flat screen, and have always loved the nostalgia. I didn't have room for a full sized one, but couldn't pass up this gen when I saw it at a local estate sale. Put in new batts and radio came right on. Tried turning on the tv, and it does what is shown in the video. I know opening these things up can be super dangerous if you don't know what your doing, but no one locally repairs them. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to fix it, what it might need, or any other communitys I could post on for help? Thanks!

(I did try the setting knob tuner things on the back for the display, but it didn't change anything.)

Used Add A Leaf Springs

Hey everyone, just got some shocks in, and didn't realize you need to have a 1" block for the Bilstein 5100s. I've heard not so good things about lift blocks, and heard that you need an Add A Leaf instead. Is this true? If so, or if it is better, does anyone happen to have a set, new or used? I also have a second set of leaf springs, so could I just cut one down for each side, add it to the stack, and use that? Thanks for your help!

Hello, I am helping my aunt try and figure out what parts need to be replaced on her 2020 Accord. She accidentally ran over a dog, and after that 3 errors came up on the dash. I ran an OBD scan, and here are the codes. Does anyone know specifically what parts need replacement, or if I replace one part all the codes will clear? I only work on older vehicles, so most computer controlled senser loaded cars I can't make heads or tails of. Anything you might know would be helpful. Thanks!

Fender Flare Repaint

Hey everyone, I just repainted my fender flares and I think it makes a HUGE difference! If anyone is curious I used the textured black Duplicolor spray paint can, masking tape, and a roll of masking paper. Pretty easy to not overspray this paint since you need to put it on pretty thick, so you hold it close to the flare. We'll see how well it holds up over time!

Busted out my kit the other day to replace a 25 year old fuel filter on my Tacoma and run some new hard-line. Harbor Freight for the win!
