Simple breakfast, but it never disappoints

Rolled oats topped with banana, almonds, pumpkin seeds, pistachios, raisins, and a spoonful of curd. Quick to make, filling, and keeps me going till lunch.

What's your go-to healthy breakfast?

Nothing beats hot pakoras & chai on a rainy day. 🌧️

Made a fresh batch of crispy pakoras for yesterday's evening chai.
Simple, comforting, and exactly what I was craving!

Coffee ice cream just became my new favorite summer treat.

If you're a coffee lover, this is one dessert that's definitely worth trying.

Has anyone else discovered a great coffee ice cream spot recently? I'd love some recommendations!

Nothing Beats a Traditional Pahadi Thali

There's something special about a traditional Uttarakhand thali nothing fancy, just comforting homemade food that fills both your stomach and your heart. ❤️

Anyone else here who loves pahadi food?

Kadhi Chawal, my favorite lazy afternoon comfort food

Nothing beats a bowl of warm kadhi chawal on a slow afternoon. Pairs perfectly with some pickle and papad on the side.

Sunday deserved something special. The kadhai came out. So did the best chicken curry I've made.

Slow mornings, nowhere to be, the kind of afternoon that asks for something made with actual effort.

Today that something was kadhai chicken curry- and I gave it everything.

I started with the kadhai cold, a splash of oil, and whole cumin seeds that crackled the moment they hit the heat. That sound alone sets a different tone.

The onions went in low and slow- 25 minutes, no rushing, no shortcuts. I had music on. I wasn't in a hurry. Sundays don't let you be. Seared hard in the masala until the edges caught colour, then simmered covered, low and patient, while the gravy thickened on its own terms.

The kadhai did something my regular pan never has it held the heat evenly, let the masala develop without burning, and gave the whole thing a depth that felt earned. Sliced capsicum and dried red chillies went in at the end, blistered just enough to keep their bite.

Served it straight from the kadhai at the table. Fresh coriander on top.

Brunch that became lunch that became the best part of the week.

Some Sundays you just get it right.

Have you ever made Pani Puri at home and honestly?

Here's what I did:

- Made the puris from scratch with semolina (rava) — they puffed up perfectly on the first try, not gonna lie, I was shocked!

- Blended a fresh mint & coriander pani with green chillies, chaat masala, black salt & tamarind — absolutely tangy and spicy!

- Stuffed them with mashed potato, boiled chickpeas & a pinch of red chilli powder

- Also made a sweet tamarind chutney on the side for the sweet pani lovers

It took about an hour of prep but was 100% worth it. The whole family went crazy- we finished everything in like 15 minutes flat. 😂
