Hils next hn3

Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to hils. I placed an order yesterday for an hn3 and had a few questions, so I gave them a call. They didn’t answer at first, but I left a voicemail and got a call back within like 30 minutes.

The guy I spoke with was seriously awesome, super friendly, patient, and took the time to answer everything I wanted to know without rushing me off the phone. You can tell they actually care about their customers and the guitars they’re building.

I’m going out of town this weekend, and he even made sure my order would arrive before Friday so I wouldn’t miss it. That kind of customer service is getting rare these days.

Overall, genuinely a 10/10 experience so far. Between the communication, the kindness, and going the extra mile to help me out, I’d absolutely recommend hils to anyone looking into a headless guitar.

Can’t wait for the HN3 to show up.

High stress even tho Hr and BP are normal

Has anyone else noticed a big HRV drop / high Garmin stress on Buspirone?

I was on luvox before, and my Garmin stress levels were super low almost all day. Since switching to buspirone, my Garmin is showing high stress constantly and my HRV seems lower, even though my resting heart rate and blood pressure are normal.

What’s weird is I actually feel more energized and motivated on Buspirone. I can focus better, have more appetite, and don’t necessarily feel stressed mentally, but my watch acts like I’m fighting for my life all day.

I know Garmin stress is based on HRV, but now I’m wondering if Buspirone changes autonomic nervous system activity or something. Did anyone else have this happen? Did it level out over time?

Trying not to spiral over the numbers, but seeing “high stress” all day is definitely messing with my head.

Les paul style body is fighting me

I love the look and sound of a Les Paul style guitar but absolutely hate how the body digs into your chest when playing in classical position.

My buddy let me use his to see how I like it, and I couldn't get comfortable.

I play sitting down most of the time with the guitar between my legs, and ends up feeling like the edge of the top horn is trying to stab straight into my sternum after a while. It sucks because visually, nothing beats an EC-1000 to me. Anything I could do to fix this problem? I may be leaning forward subconsciously?

Headless guitar options

Been looking at getting a headless guitar to keep at work for practice. Budget is under $500 used, and I’m still pretty new to the whole headless world.

So far I’ve seen:

EART headless models around the $200 range (not the Pro version)

HILS NEXT models, which I’m honestly really digging because of the body shape and overall look

This would mainly be a “leave at work” guitar, but I’d probably end up modding it later if I really like it. I mostly play metal, so good playability and tuning stability matter more to me than having super premium stock pickups.

For people who own headless guitars:

How big of a difference is there between the cheaper EART models and something like a HILS?

Are there other used headless guitars under $500 I should be searching for?

Anything specific to avoid with cheaper headless hardware/bridges?

I just randomly stumbled into the headless rabbit hole recently and now I kinda want one lol.

Im getting one of these.

I like that the 256 is so much cheaper, I dont mind modding in the future. Is the extra frets really worth it on the 1000? Mostly lamb of god, behemoth type stuff. Im also a firm believer in "buy once, cry once"

Im just so undecided and not sure if the price justifies the 1000. Im just a bedroom player.

Wanting to do something nice for myself for once.

The ec256 is 369 and the 1000 is 840 usd

Neck, or pickup?

This might seem like a silly question. But is something going on with my guitar? I noticed the strings dont line up with the round things in the pickup. Is my neck all wonky? Or something else going on? Hopefully its not something major.

Thanks for taking time to look.

Give me success stories

I’ve been on 10mg Buspar twice a day for about 2 weeks now, and honestly the difference has been pretty wild so far. I suddenly have a crazy amount of energy, my appetite actually came back, and I can finally sit down and focus on things again like playing guitar instead of constantly feeling mentally scattered.

The weird part is the dreams. They’re insanely vivid and bizarre every single night. Not exactly nightmares, just really intense and realistic.

Before this I had to stop Luvox for OCD because it completely killed my appetite and had me nauseous literally all day for over a month.

Has anyone else had Buspar give them this much energy or vivid dreams? Did the dreams calm down over time?

Interface

Just ordered a Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 2 and I’m finally getting into amp sims/plugins for home playing.

I mostly play stuff like Lamb of God, Behemoth, Gojira, Belphegor, etc. Trying to decide between STL Tones and Neural DSP. For people who’ve used both, which do you think is better for those kinds of tones?

I’ve heard good things about Neural DSP Gojira and Nameless for Lamb of God-style stuff, but STL seems to have a ton of metal-focused presets too. Curious which feels/sounds better, especially for someone newer to plugins.

Also open to specific plugin recommendations/presets if you’ve got them.

Accurate tabs

Im getting pretty burned out on inaccurate tabs on Songsterr and Ultimate Guitar, especially for more extreme metal stuff. At this point I’d rather put the money I spend on Songsterr toward supporting someone who actually makes accurate tabs/transcriptions.

I’m mostly looking for Lamb of God, Behemoth, Belphegor, and similar bands. Guitar Pro files would be a huge plus.

Does anybody know of any good tabbers, Patreon pages, YouTube channels, or sites that focus on this kind of music? I’d really appreciate any recommendations.

**im a beginner and learning songs by ear isn't possible at this stage

Deciding on a new guitar

Wanting to get a new guitar in the near future. I have an ltd m1000 deluxe with fr at the house and a js22 I keep at work. Im interested in a schecter sunset extreme, cr6, or a reaper. Ive read really bad qc reviews on the sunset, so im hesitant of that.

Drop C songs

Im currently learning resurrection man, but getting burnt out on practicing this over and over. Any other songs you'd recommend I could learn in the same tuning thats relatively easy?
