Is anyone else experiencing network issues in Halifax/NovaScotia

The internet hasn’t been working for me since this morning now. I tried troubleshooting but nothing seems to work.
Want to check if it’s only me or someone else is having the same issue?

is my Global mobility support specialist from employer side right?

Context:

I came to Canada to study in Aug 2023.

Co-op started: Jan 2024

Study Ended: Oct 2024
Converted to contract full-time: Jan 2025
Converted to permanent full-time: Oct 2025

I took three big vacations and went back home (thought I was working from home):

  1. 5th April 2025 - 9th May 2025 (5 weeks)
  2. 21st Nov 2025 - 26th Dec 2025 (5 weeks)
  3. 5th June 2026 - 21st July 2026 ( 6 weeks)

Total - 16 weeks.

As per my understanding, I cannot count these 16 weeks toward my Canadian work experience. I raised this with the Global Mobility Support Specialist assigned by my employer. He told me that I should not adjust my Express Entry work history to exclude the vacation period. Instead, he said the vacation only needs to be declared in my employer verification letter, which he is preparing. He has already included the details of my 16-week vacation in that letter. He also mentioned that he confirmed this via an internal chatting portal assigned for employers.

My concern is this: in my Express Entry profile, my Canadian work experience would still show as starting in January 2025. Based on that, the system could issue me an ITA once it calculates two years of experience. However, in reality, I would still be short by about four months because of the vacation period, which I understand does not count toward eligible Canadian work experience.

I raised this concern with him as well. He said he confirmed it through the employer's internal immigration portal and that the correct approach is to disclose the vacation in the employer verification letter rather than change the dates in the Express Entry profile.

What do you all think? Has anyone dealt with a similar situation?

Help . Bell is not returning my $7.33

I canceled my service with in mid of December and switched to Public. My monthly plan was of $35, they charged me for entire December and as I moved in middle of month, they owe $7.33. I then tried multiple chats, multiple calls all of them led. “Our team will look into and get back to you within 30 days, 24 hours, etc”. They are claiming that they sent me a cheque, I didn’t receive any sort of cheque. Then they are saying “our team will look into it”. It’s been 7 months now. I don’t know whom to contact.

For the people who might say, it’s only $7.33. But for someone who makes minimum that’s their half and hour salary, and plus it’s my own hard earned money, I need it back.

Please help me how should I fight this?

Got my first broken bone, first surgery and first ORIF. Need tips and motivation.

Went on a trip with friends, slipped in the bathroom and broke my right hand Ulna bone. Yes, I am right-handed. Thought it's nothing for 2 days, after which I went to ER, where they said its normall and I just need half a cast. Cast below the elbow basically. Umm ok. I kept moving my hand like normal, just with a cast.

I flew home after that because I couldn't do anything with my left hand. Went to the doctor here, and he said the bone has moved as the cast was properly done. The best is to have it above the elbow. Got ORIF done the next day, with a titanium plate and 6 screws.

Got my stitches out as well, yesterday, but still my hand feels barely usable; I can not eat or turn my wrist fully. Can not type. Can not hold my phone, as it feels too heavy. The hand is always in a sling.

The doctor said it will take a total of 3 months for full recovery. I am so sad that all this happened because of my stupid trip. I have never had a surgery before; this is going to leave a scar as well. I fk hate it.

Need tips and suggestions on how you guys dealt with it, how you guys cope with it mentally. Help me. Thank you in advance.

Question Regarding My coop experience

Context:

Came to Canada in Sept 2023 as an international student
• Started a paid full-time co-op/internship in Jan 2024 (35 hrs/week)
• Completed studies and received graduation letter in Oct 2024
• Applied for PGWP immediately and received approval on Nov 15, 2024
• Continued working for the same employer until Jan 2025

I know work experience gained while studying does not count for CEC.

My question is: would the period from Oct 2024 (after completing studies) to Jan 2025 count toward CEC, or would it still be considered co-op/student work and not count? Even though i was graduated at that point.

Flying with a fractured hand — any benefits or assistance I should know about?

I’ll be flying Emirates from Boston to Mumbai soon with a fractured hand and was wondering if there are any special services, assistance, priority boarding, seating help, etc. that I should be aware of.

Would also love to hear from anyone who has flown with an injury before and how your experience was.

Thank you!

My phone just hangs whenever I get a call

Whenever I get a call, my ip13 base just goes out of control.

Like rn, I was listening to music and I got a call. I picked it up, call went fine but when I hung up. The phone is not able to understand what is happening? I am trying to open recent apps but it hanged, stuck on calling screen.

Was lagging a lot, before it got back and started working fine.

This has happened to be bunch of time, it always when I get a call, any suggestions?

I recently visited, your father’s moustache on spring garden. When i was about to pay my bill, there was no option to skip the tip. It had suggestions of 10,15,20,50% (I assume) and custom tip button.

I had to click on custom and then enter, $0.00 to proceed ahead. I do tip people but occasionally and when service seems extraordinary.

Honestly, it felt embarrassing and awkward. Are we moving towards American Tipping culture?
