So as a fellow Asian guy I constantly see on social media how great Latin America is for AM nowadays. A lot of it might have to do with the massive rise of K-pop/K-drama culture in the Latin countries.

For any of you who have personally went to Latin America or know friends who have, which countries have been good for AM?

From what I can tell and heard, I heard Mexico and Brazil in particular are really good. I also heard about Argentina but heard more mixed things about it in the past but maybe it's better lately?

Anyway, any thoughts or opinions?

(P.S also curious about eastern europe because I also hear hype about that region, maybe will save that question for another day)

it seems there is some commmunity and history in almost every latin american country most prominently being argentina, brazil, mexico especially. And Argentina in particular seems to stand out in recent years for various reasons.

k-culture and k-media stuff

in latin america in general seems interesting

Primarily talking about Heartgold/SoulSilver, Platinum, Black and White 1&2 and also possibly Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky

Of course, this is no shade to the aforementioned game titles, as all of them are objectively seen as better games than crystal by most people.

And yet, the vibes, atmosphere and music in Crystal feels unmatched for me more than those games. I can't explain it. Is it Y2k vibes? Color pallete? The aesthetic? The music? All of the above or something else? It feels dreamlike and hypnotic that was never again repeated after Gen 2.

Something I realized is that there aren't that many TV shows (as far as I know) about ancient Rome despite how important and influential the Roman Empire was in the Western world, and the few that I am aware of are like American/British productions and they use Anglo actors and they speak English lol. I'm not necessarily hating on this but, yeah i'll just leave it to that.

Out of curiousity, are there any good TV shows or even films about ancient Rome made by Italian production using Italian actors and they actually speak Latin?

it seems it has a pretty strong fan base all over latin america especially recently so curious what it's like in colombia?

Apparently it's pretty big in latin america especially countries like mexico and brazil but curious what it's like in argentina in general?

Apparently K-pop and even K-dramas have seen a massive surge of interests and fandom all over Latin/South/Central America so it's pretty cool to see there so many fans of korean culture in that area of the world. It's even popular amongst many hispanics in the U.S too apparently.

But I'm curious about how popular it is in Europe and the Middle East?

Apparently the rise and popularity of Korean pop and dramas is quite underrated in the Middle East/North African countries and there are actually alot of fans there. Europe seems hit or miss, but not sure.

I think ever since 2020, I've been reading and seeing alot of increase of interesting and cool interaction and cultural interests between Mexicans and Koreans. And then since this World Cup started I also started seeing alot of viral clips on social media (you might have an idea xD)

As someone who's never been to Mexico but would love to visit one day, what is it like currently?

I'm a huge HXH fan and i literally just found out about their TCG from Bandai which came out late 2024 and I was shocked I just found this out. It looks like it did not have an explosive success compared to One Piece and even their Chapter 1 booster boxes prices haven't gone up that much since initial launch.

Do you think these cards have potential for long term to be popular and successful?
