been listening from the start and whilst I’ve always got the limits of the format, it’s always been a funny and light hearted addition to my podcast rotation. recently though I’ll be honest, I’ve found episodes pretty dull and the format is getting quite tired. I definitely sense that DoD is feeling like this. theres been a few minor comments and retorts that he’s sort of over it, or at least on the way. Max has always, since taking over from Jimbo on FW had an air of insecurity about his professional life, which makes him endearing, but it’s feeling all a little stretched now.
even the “I’m in it for life” feels like Max saying it to DoD and IMO, the way the episodes are going neither are.
some better guests and some interesting ideas would save it for sure, but atm it’s a slog of a listen. I’ve said on here before I’d be interested to hear normal peoples days. others disagreed. but comedian angle is getting a bit bloated now.
fully expecting pelters for this, but I’m ready
This picture has been in my family dining room since my mother inherited it from my grand mother. As the title suggests it’s of my great & great great grand mother and was made in Scotland in the late 19th century. would have been in the Edinburgh area if not Edinburgh itself.
we know that the artist is famous and he has work in The Tate Briton in London, but we have no idea who he is. Does anyone know?
sorry about the bad photo of the signature. The reflection made it very difficult to get a clear shot and I’ve tried my best.
why do they not do the format with ‘normal’ people? the format could arguably work better. sure there would be a few duds but would that not be interesting? or secretly is everything only showbiz if you’re a little showbiz?
had to go to Birmingham for work and picked up a bag of this. apparently they specialise in blends and if this is anything to go by, they certainly do. absolutely delicious. boozey sweetness that my Niche Duo got every .01 of clarity out of. highly recommend
this is the view from where I’m staying on The Isle of Lewis. pink line is where the tide is at low. Green is where it comes into. I’ve brought a travel rod and lures with me and plan on fishing off rocks. my question is, is there any lure fishing to be had in the shallow sanding marks when tide is high?
these little bad boys are so good. a heads up to anyone stressing over scales and fearing getting sucked into the vortex of espresso-stuff and associated costs; you’d do well to find better for the cost.
they are low profile, although I’m sure you can get lower, and they measure stuff well (shock horror). the beep is not annoying, they ‘sleep’ function is great and the battery. THE BATTERY! They need to move into the EV market cos I swear they’ve worked some black magic on the battery in these. it doesn’t run out.
ode over.
TDLR: they’re sweet as a nut!
could the government do this? basically say ‘post what you want, but there has to be automatic fact checking and context given on posts‘? if it could be done, what would the negatives be? it would be done via AI large language models so wouldn’t require human intervention and would change an awful lot around political discourse in corners of certain platforms
genuine question, given the new ruling on female only spaces, can I as a male take my daughter into the women’s toilet?
hi all,
I’ve saved for a while and am now the happy owner of a Profitec Go. I absolutely love it, but there is a ‘but’! I simply cannot get my head around steaming milk.
I’ve read a bunch and it seems like I could replace the steam tip, but surely there is a way to master it without having to buy more things?! I don’t really want to spend more and would much rather work with what I have. does anyone have any tips (pun intended) on how to get lovely foam from the stock tip?
thanks in advance
does anyone happen to know who the busker was outside the Arnolfini this evening around 6pm? didn’t have any change for my kids to give him, but would love to support by buying some of his music if available? he played guitar and looked around 30 years old, was playing Irish folk with a Jake Xerxes Fussel style guitar strum. his music was honestly amazing
intrigued as we seem to be at an interesting moment in home espresso. some really good cheaper option machines allow for more money to go on the grinder. but what is the GOAT combo?
