Daycare report

Hi all,

I am a first-time mom (so bear with me), and my baby will be 4 months tomorrow. We just started daycare last week. She is doing really good so far, I tried to prepare as much as possible (less contact naps, naps with noise, etc).

I love that I get live updates in an app (kindercare) on when she went to the bathroom, naps, etc. But I feel like I don't really have an idea of what she is doing between all those unless we get a photo. And when I ask how her day went, they just say good.

I really don't want to be a helicopter parent or be annoying but could I ask for them to let me know if she did tummy time, if she was fussy, if she played with other babies etc? Just a general update in the app I had tummy time today and rolled over, I played with toys, and I tried to chew on anyone near me.

Could I ask this, or would I piss off people by doing that?

ETA: Thank you all! I'll refrain from asking! I am happy I was able to check with you guys first. I really don't want to be that parent. But like some said in the comments, I might just ask how her mood was that day orso, which is what I am most curious about. Not a second to second update but more a general, was she happy, was she fussy, did something funny occur.

Thought you guys would get a kick out of this

The comments were full of people saying they should have stayed in the hospital and demanded a diagnosis or admission. Luckily, a few were smart and tried to explain.

Babyzone Childrensmuseum

My baby is 3 months old and due to the heat we haven't gone out much yet, also because she was just a potato. Now she loves her toys and was thinking of going to the babyzone in the childrensmuseum, but not sure if she would be too young for that. Any experiences?

Monitor died and now my heart

It was my husbands night to get up. She sleeps through the night (12 weeks) but wakes up at about 5 or 6 AM. The monitor got somehow unplugged and died, and he didn't hear her until he woke up normally and saw her just laying quietly in the bassinet 😭 He looked back at the snoo times and she must have cried for about 25 minutes before giving up...

My heart hurts so bad. She is not Smiley at all now and she took a long nap in the snoo (which she normally wakes up from after 20 mins during the day. I feel like we traumatized her.. We are always there for her if she needs us.

Switch 2 options

I always played on my laptop, just got the game for the switch. I am trying to make a custom game and not have elections and some other options - Are those turned off for the switch? I am not seeing any of the options.

Prime deal, wait or not?

I want to buy a Kindle colorsoft for my husband for fathersday. Prime day happens right after. Is there a chance it will go on sale before it? Or should I just buy it now? I do need it on the day itself.

When to stop swaddle?

I was going to stop the full swaddle when she starts to roll. But in my due date group, there is a post where many people already stopped swaddling at 8 weeks. My baby turned 8 weeks today - when did you guys use the arms out in the snoo?

I am looking for a place to get passport photos done for my 3 week old. I know pharmacies do it, but when I went for myself, it was always extremely rushed. I need a place that takes the time to do it.

Don't mind the mess, ftm and literally babywearing to start cleaning lol. I wish I found you guys before I made my registry. I had the baby bjorn mini and was looking up tips and all I could find was the hate on it haha. So ditched the babybjorn and got the Koala wrap. I used a video on of you linked before to put her in it. Does it look ok?
