Idaho produces about one-third of all potatoes grown in the United States, making it the country’s leading potato-producing region. Most cultivation takes place across the fertile Snake River Plain in southern Idaho, where volcanic soils, irrigation from the Snake River, sunny days, and cool nights create highly favorable conditions for potato farming. Major producing areas include Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Pocatello, and Blackfoot.

One of the most mind-blowing administrative maps in the world is that of Puducherry. It is not a single connected territory but a collection of four separate regions spread across different parts of India.

The main region, Puducherry and Karaikal, are surrounded by Tamil Nadu, while Mahe lies within Kerala on the west coast, and Yanam is located inside Andhra Pradesh on the east coast.

These regions are geographically distant from each other but are governed together as one union territory. This unique arrangement exists because all these areas were once French colonies and were later merged into India as a single administrative unit after independence.
