How do you remove a splinter from a kid's foot who goes hysterical when the needle even touches them? Are there any topical creams for the skin that numbs pain? Cuz orajel doesn't do anything. We tried after the bath, hoping the skin would be softer. She's 6 so restraining her is near impossible.

Video input stops working; switch hdmi cables and it works. Opinions?
Ok, this is kind of vague and I don't have a lot of technical details, but I just want to know if anyone has ever seen something like this.
I have a Sony Bravia TV. HDMI input 1 is a computer (a mini Lenovo). HDMI input 2 is a Nintendo Switch. Input 1 stops working, but the computer is working fine. I don't know if it's computer output or the TV's input that's bugging. Eventually I switch the cables, put the computer in input 2 and the Nintendo in input 1 and now it works. ¯(°_o)/¯ I guess that's fine, but I'm left confused.

I have a filter to block Google's AI overview in the Firefox desktop browser.

It works. When I try to enter it on mobile, paste or write, it is instantly deleted. I've read there's a problem with Gboard, so I switch to the Samsung default keyboard. I can write google, but when I type the point, it gets deleted....🤪What's going on?
