I mean, Otto is (even when not hand of the king) one of the most powerful lords in the 7 kingdoms and grandfather of the king.

Surely imprisoning him in kings landing was a highly risky move.

On the one hand the risk he bribes a guard to get a message to his family upstairs. Or one of the guards down there realises they can curry favour with king and greens by letting them know - ‘by the way your granddaddy is imprisoned downstairs’.

Just seems a stupidly risky move on the part of Larys. Super high chance of backfire. Especially once he has fled kings landing, the guards who are in on it must have been very concerned about being discovered and killed.

How hyped are y’all?

I have been pondering, and I may be wrong but I am new to this. Given that the material world is corrupted, having been created by the Demiurge, how do you account for all the good and beautiful things. Plants, scenery, animals this sort of thing.

The concept of the world being created by the Demiurge resonated with me as it explains all the evil, pain and suffering. But what of the good, what of the beauty, peace and tranquility we can also find?

Is this also of the demiurge?

Backstory, I am 35 and since early 20’s have always been agnostic, if anything leaning slightly more towards atheism. I wasn’t really aware of Gnosticism until I did some research very recently. Something about it really resonated with me. I am very curious to learn more. I suppose my two biggest questions are:

How does one go about achieving gnosis? My limited understanding is that there are items of knowledge that one must know in order to escape this world and return home on death. How are we to obtain this knowledge / information without it being passed to us by another?

Second point, I have seen many references here and elsewhere to the first stage at death being the light we are drawn to. We should avoid this trick and look upwards, for some sort of grid structure. What is the source of this account? As I am unable to find it whilst seeing it repeated often.

Obviously they have been lucky with regards the value of their homes and worked at a time when an average income could afford a home, but that’s hardly their fault. Why does it seem that people here really don’t like when people get some good luck.

When I am in battles or viewing my towns the camera just launches off at top speed until it hits the edge of the map. I am using a normal cable mouse abd this doesn’t happen on medieval total war so I think the mouse is fine.

Only way to stop it is to hold ctrl and the camera stops blasting around.

Anyone know a fix for this? It’s so annoying having to hold ctrl the whole time.

If they were going to reveal proof of some alternative form of intelligent life, surely it would be huge news, president addressing the world type thing. Given trump would love the publicity that brings, does the fact that it is just a release of documents indicate that rather than containing proof it appears to be just the same info we already know.

I have looked into this and read so many contradicting things.

Most say you should not apply Minox to your scalp until 24 hours after derma- rolling.

Others say do it straight away to increase absorption.

Also if I am meant to apply minoxidil twice per day, how do I not apply it for 24 hours after derma.

Please help it make sense.

Thinking of moving to the area, seen a house that I really like.

Moving from Surrey and looking for a more rural feel.

Does anyone have any local knowledge that would be useful?

Main queries are around flooding? Does it flood a lot?

Also I notice the village is tiny, how good are the surrounding towns for shops / takeaway options etc.

There are some public fields where I live and for the past few months there has been a group of youths driving round on a dirt bike.

They aren’t meant to do it and I know people have called the police in the past.

Problem is by the time the police maybe show up the youths are long gone. Also there is no access for cars so the police have to approach on foot giving them adequate time to get away without issue.

The fields are mainly used by people just wanting to relax, walk their dog, take their kids for a walk etc. so having people zooming round on a dirt bike is very dangerous.

It’s very tempting to take the matter into your own hands.

Any suggestions of the right thing to do?
