Salary employee
I’m a salaried employee in Florida. I was sick for 2 days out of the week, however, I worked atleast 4 hours both days. I was docked the rest of the hours on my following paycheck. Both the owner and bookkeeper agreed (text proof) that I don’t deserve to be paid for the hours I did not work. When I need a couple hours off I also need to stay later to (make up) the missed hours I need. There is nothing on the employee manual that I signed agreeing to do all of this as a salaried employee. I also work well over 40 hours as week and since I’m salary I don’t get overtime. It seems like only the employer is getting the benefits of me being salaried.
