I don’t think we’ve seen such a presence in a long time. And lots of sirens in the evening.
Cayenne
Diesel
200K KM
Car drives wonderful and just fine. We love it.
And we don’t want / or should I say our fear is we won’t want the entire engine and clutch popped out and some expensive fix is required.
Is it possible what is wrong is something easier to fix and less expensive?
The best way to describe the issue is as follows :
(Used Claude for help) + (if it leaks, its droplets at the most to be clear)
From the report, there are two items related to the engine oil leak:
Cayenne has an active oil leak coming from underneath the engine. The inspector couldn’t fully diagnose it because the engine needs cleaning first to locate the exact source. Until it’s fixed, the car fails inspection. This needs to go to a workshop — likely they’ll clean the underside, identify whether it’s a gasket, sump plug, oil filter housing, or something else, and repair accordingly.
Given the mileage (207,000 km), a worn sump gasket or valve cover gasket would be the most common culprits on a Cayenne Diesel of this age.
Couldn’t snap good pics sadly as we were on the move :/
