Hello I plan on adding pygmy cories and julii cories to my 40 gallon breeder tank. I see they do better with sand. 2 things best sand for them and will it need to be rinsed? Second I hear cleaning sand is a lot harder than gravel anyone got tips on how to keep it clean? I might use a white sand so its easier to see
Hey I was wondering what the best and safest filter was for a 75 gallon tank with 6 clawed frogs. I have a 75 gallon sponge filter set up already but need something that will keep the water clean but also won't hurt my frogs.
Any clawed frog owners any accessories or foods they specifically like a lot?
Hello I believe my betta has dropsy. The only thing I can think of is my daughter unplugged the filter and it was off for over 24 hours. Ammonia spiked up during that and when I turned it on and did a water change thats when I noticed her. Is this enough to cause her to have dropsy? All other fish are fine. I have her in a small separate tank and plan on using will epsom salt be good to use?
Hello my daughter unplugged my filter without me knowing and by the time I noticed the water had turned pretty cloudy. I did a big water change but before I did I noticed my female betta swimming slowly at the bottom or even just resting a lot on the bottom. She rarely ever did this before. She seems less active but when I fed her she swam up to the top no problem and ate but shortly after was resting at the bottom again. What do you think is wrong and how do I help? She is an amazing fish and want her to be healthy again and live a great life. I feel horrible about this and don't understand how I didn't notice right away when getting home from work...
Hey I bought 2 tickets for both shows the dual tickets for Saturday and Sunday world of outlaw sprints at weedsport speedway. Weather looks bad for Sunday I was wondering if they would postpone it to Monday or cancel Sunday. If canceled woukd they refund me for the Sunday portion?

So I just got back into dirt racing and I'm so hooked idk how I was out of it for so long! I went to outlaw 200 and 3 days of super dirt week which I plan on doing both again this year. I was curious in some of the other biggest modified races in New York. I have heard of the Fonda 200 and I think there is another 200 lap race at orange county fair speedway toward the end of the season. Any info on those and any others I should check out? I work a ton and work early so out of state is pretty hard

Well I was emailing xenopus express back and forth to set up buying 6 clawed frogs. We agreed on 6 and I told them I would let them know when my tank was ready and they said all good. Now I said I was ready but they said my tank was enough for 2 clawed frogs as they need 10 gallons per frog. I let them know that we had a 75 gallon tank and we were supposed to get 6. Now I haven't heard back in over 24 hours and I am worried they will not sell to me now for some reason.... This is very upsetting as my wife and daughter have been talking about clawed frogs for months.... now idk if I can even get them when we spent all this time and money setting up a huge tank for 6 of them. Anywhere else online thats good to get them? I really wanted them from xenopus express as I bet they have the best frogs and best shipping. This was such a bad year for us and we were hoping to turn it around but looks like yet another thing fell threw for us. 😑
Hello my wife, daughter, and I have been looking into getting rats. We have been saving money up for months for the cage, everything they need, and some money saved in case of unexpected vet visits as I learned to do with exotic pets. At first we wanted hamsters or mice but the more research we did the more we learned rats would be best for us. We think 4 to 5 is a perfect number to have but feel like starting with 4 is ideal. I just want anyone to comment best specific cages for 4 rats that give plenty of room and best accessories your rats love the most. Also what are your favorite rats? So hard to pick just 4 lol
Hello I have 4 smooth sided toads. Had them since feb and they've thrived. However 2 nights ago one of them didn't eat and didn't eat the night after. This is very uncommon the other 3 are still eating. It almost looks like he's not acknowledging them or don't see them. He tried to eat twice but missed then didn't try again. Looked like his tongue didn't come out as far. Please help! He looks fine and is acting fine too besides when I put him in the container to eat.

I plan on using new substrate. My fish are 1 betta, 6 julli cories, 6 emerald dwarf danios, snails, and a lot of shrimp. I'm worried about moving all the shrimp.
Have a 75 gallon tank that I plan on putting clawed frogs in. I plan on using a big sponge filter but was told I might want to either use a stronger filter instead or use another filter with the sponge filter. What filter should I use with a sponge filter meant for 75 gallons that is 100 percent safe for clawed frogs?? Also any other tips u wish u knew when getting clawed frogs?

Is 81ish degrees good enough for basking spot for whites tree frogs? Its usually 84 to 86 but we have our central air on. Should I get a slightly stronger bulb if it needs to be higher?
