Is it viable to play modern games off an external 1 TB seagate hard drive
Hey guys,
So I've got a gaming laptop with a 512gb internal SSD. Right now I still have decent space left, but I know how massive newer games are and I'm trying to plan ahead before it fills up.
I have an old 1TB Seagate external hard drive lying around doing nothing. Was thinking about using it to handle my games.
Is it a terrible idea to run games straight off an external HDD these days? Or am I better off installing everything on the external drive, and then just moving the game I'm currently playing over to my laptop's SSD?
Would love to hear if anyone does this or if the stuttering is too bad.
Thanks!
