Is it viable to play modern games off an external 1 TB seagate hard drive

Hey guys,

So I've got a gaming laptop with a 512gb internal SSD. Right now I still have decent space left, but I know how massive newer games are and I'm trying to plan ahead before it fills up.

I have an old 1TB Seagate external hard drive lying around doing nothing. Was thinking about using it to handle my games.

Is it a terrible idea to run games straight off an external HDD these days? Or am I better off installing everything on the external drive, and then just moving the game I'm currently playing over to my laptop's SSD?
Would love to hear if anyone does this or if the stuttering is too bad.

Thanks!

Need help in buying Fc26 on Laptop

Hello everyone , I recently switched from PS4 to a gaming laptop and I want to buy Fc26 for the first time.

I currently have two options either from EA official website or I can buy it from Steam (both are currently selling it for the same price of 14 $)

I want to be able to play it on a controller connected to my Laptop since I come from PlayStation

Where should I buy it from ? (I keep hearing about problems of lack of controller support and stuff which is the better place to buy it from)

Thank you in advance !

Need recommendations: Fast, free, future-proof, and cross-platform note app?

Hello everyone,

I am looking for recommendations from the note-taking experts here. I want to find a long-term note-taking app to organize various topics, but I am terrified of losing years of hard work if a company suddenly shuts down.

I am ready to pour hundreds of hours into my notes, so I need something completely reliable.

Here is my checklist of must-have criteria:

  • Future-Proof / No Lock-In: My biggest priority. I need a clear way to export or own my data so I never lose my notes if the app shuts down.
  • Cross-Platform & Offline Sync: Must sync seamlessly across multiple devices via the internet, but allow full offline access to my notes when I am away from a connection. (Windows , IOS , Android)
  • Free Tier: Free to use, even if there is a reasonable storage limit.
  • Privacy-Focused: Strong data privacy and security.
  • High Performance: Extremely fast startup and loading times.

What apps do you recommend that fit this description? Thank you in advance for your help!

I really miss Blood and glory

I’ve been feeling nostalgic for Blood and glory lately. The gladiator aesthetic was so good. Since I'm on iOS and can't play it anymore, I need a new similar game. What are the best fighting games on mobile right now? I'm open to anything with great combat and cool visuals

Also, I'd love to hear what you're currently hooked on playing!

Fidget toy collection of a broke student that likes to fidget

Hey everyone! I'm on a budget and looking for some cheap, multi-use fidget recommendations that can actually hold up over time.

In case you’re wondering about the image, these pens actually double as fidgets :

The blue one has a very satisfying click.
The brown one has a ball on top that spins for a long time.
The other blue one on the right has a roller bearing that rotates in all directions.

Hoping the algorithm does its thing and maybe a large creator hooks me up with a cool fidget one day🤞 Let me know your favorite budget finds below!

Need help in buying Rainbow six siege on PC

Hello, I am looking to purchase Rainbow Six Siege on PC and am currently searching for the best deal. I noticed that the Elite Edition is priced at $10 on the Epic Games Store and €10 on the Ubisoft Store; however, it is currently full price on Steam. Do you know if there will be a Steam sale soon? I have heard that it occasionally drops to $3 or $4. Additionally, I have played extensively on PlayStation and unlocked most operators. Will my progress and unlocked content transfer over if I link the same Ubisoft account to my PC ?
