A bit general, I know but it’s been so much fun tossing Miss Frizzle, Willy Wonka and the SCP Foundation into my latest Dreaming chronicle, which is set an expanded version of the Bully world map.
So, give me your best ideas for other fun, cool, funny or batshit crazy stuff to possibly throw into this or other games.
Only recently gotten into 40k, largely via Rogue Trader and am looking into building my first army. Naturally, I was drawn to Imperial Agents but I’ve been shown quite definitively that they pretty much suck as a main army, especially for beginners. Now I have been told that they shine as a secondary army, allied to the Guard or Space Marines, so that’s what I’m looking into building. Preferably centred around RT units rather than Inquisitors if that’s even possible? Any tips or guidance for the new guy?
Does anyone know of any fics - be they oneshots or longer - where the battle at the DoM is expanded? Frankly, any fics that expand on the major battles of the war and turn them into actual battles would be welcome.
On this very note, I would highly recommend the fic Harry Potter and the Prince of Slytherin and its series by TheSinisterMan, as it does just this very well.
So sometime last year, I made a post about how the narrative of 40k had seemingly ground to a halt, with most of the major wars and plot lines having more or less been resolved or in rough stalemate and there being surprisingly few of them.
So… Apparently someone at GW read that post and decided to fix it! Because here’s a rough list:

The Cadian Gate
And those are just the currently active ones. There are also:
The Maelstrom Zone
The Tau’s 4th Sphere of Expansion
The Eldar vs Fulgrim
All of which are just waiting to hit the accelerator. Apparently I have the magical power to get GW to do what I want. (Give the Sisters of Battle more to do) All that rambling aside, what are you all enjoys so far and what are you looking forward to the most?
Been thinking it over lately and a potential problem for HL2 is the complete lack of sequel hooks in the 1. Almost every plot point is completely wrapped up, with the sole exception of Sebastian and his sister. Do we think that alone rates the entire plot of the sequel? Does anyone have any ideas?
Just finished up Naxos and about to head to Thera. Can someone remind me if I should head to Kos now and do side quests or if I should wait for a main quest? Thanks in advance.
Idea hit me on another post. Mainly just retool the Seeds into Ghosts/Monsters and have their possession of the cultists be thought to be explicitly supernatural. The area gives the gang a lot of opportunities to show off their skills and it turns finding the backstory hints at the various bases into the plot. Depending on how you want to go, the Seeds can be twats in masks, actual ghosts or Joseph can be a twist ending by actually being a ghost.
Just a fun brain storm. Let me know what you think. Feel free to run with the idea.

Just finished up with CE and enjoyed every minute of it. Does anyone know of any mods with that much depth that can co-exist in the same game?
The biggest complaint about the Minutemen is that it makes no sense for the SS to waste their time building villages and farms when they should be tearing the Commonwealth apart looking for their baby son.
The only justification I’ve ever come up with is that Nate, with his military training, immediately recognises the value in a logistics network that supplies him with food, fresh water and equipment. He’s not helping Preston out of charity. He’s building up a ramshackle trading network to keep himself fed and equipped in a hostile nuclear wasteland.
Maybe I’m wrong here but in basically everything Paradox does, it assumes that the players will be against the Camarilla by default. Only for the community - much like back in the old days - to just gravitate towards them immediately. And yet, for years now, they’ve refused to make the same pivot WW did back in the 90s. Am I wrong? Seriously, I’d like to be wrong about this.
In my neck of the woods, I’m the only person who ever volunteers to play Ventrue. Is that just my local community or are Ventrue mains a noted minority? If so, why? If not, Ventrue players, tell me your stories.
Years ago, when I was still very new to VTM, I was looking into Merits and Backgrounds online and the best site I found was Angelfire. It had a ton of each and more and the descriptions taught me quite a lot about how you’re supposed to use them in game. Been trying to find the old site lately and it doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Can anyone tell me what exactly the old place was and if there’s still a way to find it?
I know they all help but I can’t gear what they’re doing over all the explosions and laser blasts and I can’t find anything in the guides that state things specifically. Anyone here know?
Noob question but I’m trying to grow out Arthur’s locks a bit before things go sour. How does one apply the hair tonic? Tried the camp shave station, the barber and the item menu and can’t find it.
Over the years I’ve heard everything from over a thousand to a couple hundred at most. Discuss.
