What is the real story about Terence Everitt resigning mid-term?

What is the real story about Terence Everitt resigning mid-term?

He only had 7 months left in his two year term. You can't tell me the "job opportunity" he left for is the real reason.

Did he finally get pushed beyond the limit after being moved to the basement? Did Republicans REALLY make his job so hard that he quit before the end of the year?

Job Board

In my heart of hearts, I wish there was a job board in this sub. Just got off a call with a wonderful new connection that had DMed me and I am hoping more of us can get connected in this same way.

Construction and warehouse jobs don't have to be our only option!

If you have an idea or an opening, please post it here!

Pay for a lawyer!

Just a general PSA and from experience - while lawyer fees feel like they aren't worth it, the right lawyer is FOR SURE worth it. I paid what I thought was a crazy amount for an attorney but it gave me an unsecured bond, probation, and unsupervised probation rather quick with expulsion within a year. If anyone has specific questions, PLEASE message me. Here to help!

Unsafe working conditions

Just an FYI for the group and the SLIM hope that corporate pays attention:

  • when you are onboarding, you have NO idea that overtime is not an option but an expectation
  • the "break room" is meant to have perks but has empty shelves, empty freezers, and a broken coffee machine
  • You have no idea when you can leave. Every single day your quota grows by more than 20%. If you have a family or other obligations, forget them.
  • The quota is so high that you see wildly unsafe practices with heavy equipment and QC/QA.
  • HR is COMPLETELY unresponsive. I emailed both local and corporate with no response.
  • Leadership is horrible. "Corporate has asked you to do this and if not you will be put on probation" was the last pep talk I heard before quitting.

Totally sucks. Modern day slaves while sharing a break room with a white boys club sales team.

Angela is SO MESSY

Watch every episode back and you will see her adding onto the fire to make it burn:

Didn't you say this?

Weren't you mad about this?

She is the one that initiated the hot cheeto comment in the limo. DAMN!

Looking for work in Raleigh, NC

White collar crime idiot here looking for work. I am on unsupervised probation with an expungement coming in February 2027. Anyone know of anything locally or remote that might hire me? (Lowe's, HomeDepot, DoorDash, etc. said no thank you since it is an embezzlement case.)

The real truth about the warehouse roles

I was hired by Frito-Lay warehouse recently. The recruiter told me it was hourly, expect 40 hours a week with the opportunity for overtime. "The opportunity for overtime" is the key phrase here.

I was also told what days I had off per week, no problem. I had a 6 am start time for the other 5 days a week. Again, no problem. So, I made a mental schedule that I would be working 6am - 2/3 pm or so.

I ended up being asked to come in at 5 am. I also had NO IDEA when I would be leaving for the day so I couldn't make any appointments/plans/family obligations. I never left before 3 pm. Here's why:

It is a volume-based business. You come in and have a certain about of totes/boxes/orders you have to fill before you can leave. And every day, they ramp up the amount you have to do. You have 90 days to be fully ramped up or you are put on probation. So here is the kicker:

If you go too fast, you don't get enough hours. If you go too slow, sure, you get time and a half for overtime, but you don't hit your "items per hour goal" that would put you on probation.

For instance: I was picking tote orders...orders for gas stations, dollar generals, etc. That might mean three jars of dips, a box of beef jerky, etc. My goal the first week (after only three days of working in the warehouse) was 550 totes for the day. The other important metric I had to hit was 77 totes per hour. Full ramp up for other employees was about 800 totes for the day.

So, that's more than one tote per minute. For ten hours. And I was going as fast as I physically could.

I saw the same thing with the bulk pickers (Sam's Club, BJs, Costco, etc.) and the batch pickers (grocery stores, etc.). They are on forklifts and tuggers and are literally speed driving and walking around the warehouse for ten hours to hit their goals.

And corporate asks for faster and faster speeds. This is why they pay more than other warehouse jobs. It was not worth it for me.

The people I worked with were great, but no one has time to interact. It was headphones in, head down, move as fast as you can and hope you can do the minimum of what they want so you don't get fired.

Needless to say, I quit.

Ideas about what might resuscitate our show? We know Jax was toxic but the drama he brought made it worthwhile.

Even the addition of crowd favorites La La and Schwartz aren’t doing it.

Is the Valley in itself just this dull?

What in the HELL does a lack of a glam squad mean you are not showing up to a dinner to film? (Looking at you K!)

Also - this is your first season. Have a seat.

I have just navigated the job market in the last few months. I have a white collar crime charge that will be expunged in a year, but I was encouraged to apply to these "second change employers" via sites like honestjobs.com . Here is the honest truth:

  • BJ's Wholesale Club said no at $26/hr, even though I had a personal relationship with the store manager.
  • Lowe's said no at $18/hr.
  • Home Depot said no at $17/hr, even though I went back in forth with them about 4 times asking for reconsideration.
  • Frito-Lay said no for a salaried driver role, but YES for a warehouse role at $25/hr (which I have accepted!) **note: re-apply for other jobs. Your denial for one job is not in the system as a denial for ALL jobs at that same company.**
  • Wal-Mart said yes for an online shopper role at $15/hr. **HUGE shout-out to Wal-Mart)

Over and over again I heard the "we are considering adverse action...please send us more information on your charges..."

I also got a job offer from a small business in our area, but I was afraid that someone there would Google me and see my charges.

Hope this helps. It seems like some of these national websites like honestjobs.com are trying to help, but it is a lot of false hope and time to apply and be let down.

Wondering who makes you laugh the most...I have a few!

  • Sarah Colonna
  • Fortune Feimster
  • Zach Noe-Towers (just because they make fun of him so much and he is a good sport)

Who am I missing?
