A business idea in Algeria, your opinions

So I was thinking a lot about it, someone told me something that stuck with me, she said "you don't always have to invent a new business, sometimes the best ideas come from fixing everyday frustrations people already have." And she's right.

So I want to ask you all directly: what wastes your time in your daily life here in Algeria? What do you wish was easier, as a parent, a student, a shop owner, a worker? Anything.

I'm trying to figure out what small business could actually help people here, not just something trendy. Drop your frustrations below, big or small. Maybe one of them turns into something real.

I am from Algeria and I need business ideas

Like the title said, I tried a lot of thinking of what I can do for my country to make money from it, like a business idea that will be useful but all they like is eating and wearing clothes and jewelry.. etc I can't find a job and I was thinking to start a business with small income in Algeria, any ideas that might work? Something small maybe and has great profits and income?

I need a job ASAP

I'm 27F so tired from Bouira I couldn't find any job and I've been like this since 2023 and all I found was small gigs to work remotely but I want stability, I may don't have high education but if they give me a chance I can do my best and work, they ask for experience and never give you a chance to try... What should I do...

I wanna find a job hors wilaya but as long as the salary is not good, I can't rent there which we're already renting with mom and my sisters (I'm the oldest by the way) My family needs me

I have certificates in HR Management and Marketing, and over the past few years I've worked as a Virtual Assistant, Recruitment Assistant, Copywriter, and most recently spent a couple of months doing medical data entry in a radiology center.

My experience has helped me develop skills in administrative support, office administration, recruitment, customer service, data entry, copywriting, content writing, internet research, email and calendar management, document organization, and CRM software. I'm also comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and Notion. I speak Arabic and English fluently, have professional French, and I'm always willing to learn new skills if needed.

I've mainly been applying for positions such as Administrative Assistant, Office Assistant, Executive Assistant, Administrative Secretary, HR Assistant, Recruitment Assistant, Customer Service Representative, Data Entry Clerk, Documentation Officer, Marketing Assistant, Copywriter, Content Writer, Social Media Manager, Community Manager.

I'm open to opportunities in Bouira, Algiers, or anywhere else in Algeria if the opportunity is worth it.

(Don't tell me to learn new skills to find a better remote job because I have no idea which skill suits me)

(Don't tell me to ndir formation because I don't wanna waste any more time studying I already studied the basics of human resources management and marketing)

Which private BTS field is actually recognized/useful for jobs in Algeria?

Hey everyone,

I need to do a private BTS (can't go public because of my بطالة/unemployment allocation), but I want to choose a field that's actually recognized and can realistically help me get a job, not just a diploma that looks nice on paper.

I was thinking much more : comptabilité and the secretariat but I'm open to other options. For those who've done a private BTS or know someone who has, which fields are actually respected by employers here, and which ones turned out to be a waste of money? Honest feedback appreciated!

Thanks in advance 🙏

27F who wants better opportunities

Okay so just to tell you this, I love my country, I really do, I don't like its people, because they never give me a chance to work, a chance to learn, they make excuses that I need to have bac, I need high diploma (it's how it goes in Bouira) I don't know for other wilayas, I want to achieve big goals, like to buy a house for my mother since she suffered a lot in her life (don't ask me what happened because it's really sensitive and personal so please..) and a car.. which I can't do any of them, so I've been thinking to leave Algeria to have better opportunities, but I don't wanna leave and suffer there as well, I have (niveau terminal, dart des formations where (I hoped 💔) get a job like human resources management and marketing and music which doesn't really count) and if you tell me to leave to work in other wilaya I would love to if the salary was high, since I'm already renting with mom and I'm doing this for her.. I was thinking about starting a business idea but I don't know what idea would benefit the clients, I have no idea what to do..

I'm asking other women out there, how are you managing? I'm really stuck and I feel like I'm too old to achieve anything at all

[For Hire] VA / copywriter, looking for Long-Term Remote Work

Hi! I'm Abie, a multilingual remote worker based in Algeria (Arabic native, fluent French, professional English).

Over the past few years I've worked across a mix of remote roles: recruitment coordination (writing job descriptions, managing candidates across several countries), B2B outreach and cold email campaigns, and virtual assistant work (calendars, inbox, social media, client communication, copywriting, writing articles) for international clients.

At this point I've built real experience across recruitment, admin, copywriting, and content.

What I'm looking for now isn't another short-term gig. I want something that actually lasts: a role I can grow into, ideally long-term or with a real path to full-time.

What I bring:

- Recruitment/HR coordination (job descriptions, applicant tracking, multi-platform posting)

- French & English writing (blog content, cold emails, social captions)

- General admin/VA work (inbox, calendar, CRM)

For the payment method, I have PayPal and crypto

As fort the rate we can negotiate

I'm reliable, easy to work with async, and comfortable working across different time zones. If you're looking to bring someone on for the long run rather than a one-off task, I'd love to talk and I'd be happy to share examples of past work.

Here is My Resume

We're in 2026, they still ask women not to work after marriage or in a relationship

Okay it's your right, I didn't say I'm against it to ask for your girl not to work, but the question is, do you think you can provide for her for the rest of her life? Some girls have their own needs to be honest, some of them don't, some of them their parents needs them so you can't ask her not to work and leave her family like that, what I'm saying is, don't force a woman not to work, only if you think you can provide for her and for her family as well, or don't marry her, don't waste her time, find someone who doesn't have situations and lives on her own or if her family are stable enough, koul Wahda w douroufha is all what I'm saying .. am I wrong? Note: I'm female 🥲
