Still trying to tinker

Okay so after getting advice, I was able to set my gyro to activate with the right thumbstick. I did this because I wanted to have the thumbstick be used for macro and the gyro for micro movement and aiming as this would not be the biggest deal to adjust to. I know this isn't as drastic as a change compared to full on gyro and flickstick...didn't really like that.

I thibk the gyro needs to be a bit more sensitive. But I'm working on it.

Any advice would be appreciated

Need help with upcoming fishing trip in allegheny state park ny

I'm going camping in September. I know that allegheny sp has two main lakes, the reservoir and a myriad of creeks. But September can be part of the dog days of summer. So what can i hope catch with reasonable expectations out there at time?

Can I still catch trout?

Are walleye a good bet out there around that time?

Or am I stuck with bass and panfish?

Some advice

Okay. So I've messed around with gyro and mkb in the last month after years of using the controller.

Then I used controller over the weekend. And I'm just conflicted. I like how, with controllers, everything is instinctive. I know how to do everything with the controller. But there is one thing I like about mkb. The quickness and precision of the mouse. Joystick feels sluggish and imprecise after using mkb.

Is there any configuration on the new steam controller that would allow me to mostly just play with the controller like a controller but with maybe having the trackpad active for quick turnarounds or more precise aiming in situations where I need it?

Thank you

I didn't know where to ask because this us a pretty niche game.

It launches and let's me choose the video quality but it just goes black afterwards

I have windows 11.

I'm curious about anime style games?

I love the artstyle of the gacha games out there. But is there one that's actually good and not gacha? Like some zzz anime style shooter or action game that has a decent story and gameplay? Just thought I'd ask

To be more clear. Im looking for something sci fi rather than fantasy. And third person perspective

Looking for a good 12 episode anime

I am trying this again. Just refining.

I am looking for a good action anime that hopefully has really good animation, a good story, and amazing fight scenes. Age does not matter.

But I'd prefer only like 12 episode show. Nothing that went on for seasons.

I have seen lots of anime through YouTube clips and watched plenty of anime films

Anime that I have actually watched and enjoyed include one piece, my hero academia, and trigun stampede the remake. And I am currently watching kaiju girl caramelise(You can make fun of me in the comments)

I would prefer a male MC. And not a prick like the one from imminence in shadow.

Basic good vs evil. Just executed right. I know it sounds old fashioned snd vanilla.

I do not want any isekai unless they are unique.

No harem anime.

No extreme fanservice. (I know I watch one piece)

No extreme gore

Not a big fan of mech anime

No horror.

No definition of depression and sadness anime(the guy who recommended tokis orginal sin or whatever. You were funny but I've doomscrolled too much to be ignorant

No corn. (The guy who recommended overflow, less funny)

No aura farming anime with no substance to the story. I want fight scenes that have weight and add to the story

I'm sure something like this exists but was or is not commonly known

Hi. I'm trying to get I to gyro.

Yeah. I just got the steam controller and I'm trying to get into gyro and trackpad after a lifetime if analogue sticks. And its kinda rough. Currently playing halo infnite anf its definitely a work in progress. Is there some type of program to assist with practice? Like some 3d model world where i can train my brain to understand it?

To remain as I am or change?

No super profound. But, I am currently trying to attempt to set up my steam controller to use the gyro and trackpad instead of the sticks. But someone basically told me that if I had spent my entire life using sticks...why mess with it? Yes, the gyro and trackpad is technically superior, but it might not be worth trying to adjust to a new thing. Maybe he's right.

Thoughts?

Gyro and trackpad

Trying to set the controller up to use gyro and trackpads for shooters. It's harder than I thought it was going to be. I've played on controller and joysticks all my life. I've heard a bunch of people way how intuitive and awesome the tradkpads are.

Any help would be appreciated. Not sure about sensitivity and if th3 gyro is supposed to be set as a joystick or a mouse. I tried using the community setup for halo infnite used on the steam deck. Didn't seem to work

Is Apex legends good?

I know it's a vague question. I mean I know it's a movement shooters by the people who made Titanfall. Is it super sweaty. I know sometimes movement shooters can be due to the high skill ceiling. It's also a hero shooter?

So I'm thinking about possibilities. I'm not exactly a pro at this.

Would it be possible to configure the steam controller to be able to use the trackpads for more precise aiming in an fps shooter while still having the thumbsticks setup to do the normal gamepad configuration? Would that mess with the aim assist by making the game thinking your using a mouse and keyboard?

Also how does gyro aiming work when using a controller? Does that also mess with aim assist or does it remain on when using the gyros? Becasue that sounds nutty if it the aim assist remains the same. I'm fairly ignorant about all this.

I bought the controller. Need some information

So can I use geoforce now while using this controller? It's fairly important for all my games.

I've heard this is not a plug and play controller but you need to set it up to use it. Is this true?

If the second question is true, do any of you have any configuration setups that are good for fps games? Nothing too fancy or sweaty just something good that I could use the extra buttons for.

Or maybe I'm overthinking it.

Thank you

Halo infinite mode with Carbine

Is there a multiplayer game mode in infinite where you load in with the usnc Mak5 avengers carbine consistently? I know regular slayer you get the AR and the sidearm, but I want to get more action with the carbine. I've gotten it sometimes in Fiesta, but it's up to RNG. It's probably not a thing, but I thought I'd ask

I just started playing halo infinite. Wow.

I've only played a few campaign missions. Kinda hate how they just skipped over the entire war with Cortana and the created. Kinda takes me out of it, but whatever.

The slipspace engine is beautiful. That mission where you retrieve the weapon in the forunner structure is best I've ever seen halo look.

I've played the crap out of the multiplayer. Best multiplayer experience so far. Castle wars is fun. Ninja is fun. Swat is...no. I was kinda bumed when i learned that they ditched the magnum for the pistol. But considering you have the mauler, it kinda makes sense. Plus, rapidly mag dumping a dude who's charing you with a sword is fun. I appreciate how many anti vehicle weapons exist in the game now. Didn't even realize the disruptor did that until I pathetically shot a banshee that proceeded to collaspe from depression. Though that does kinda make the plasma pistol irrelevant.

Love the grappling hook. And I appreciate how they designed the first couple of campaign levels around it. Though i prefer other augments for multiplayer.

I'm having a blast so far.

Who is this controller for?

I'm asking becasue I've been waiting since may(cry me a river I know). It's 100$. My estimated delivery date is September.

I'm asking if there's any real advantages to this thing that I can't get from a 60$ controller?

Do the track pads make playing games like total war viable? Etc.

Thanks for any input

I play mostly shooters with the occasional rts stint.

I'm looking for something useful for travel. Specifically for museums or monuments and the like. Where you need wide angle for close objects or big objects and then a short telephoto for things further off.

My main piece of kit I'm eyeing is the 24-105mm stm.

But I was hoping for something wider on the wide end.

Any suggestions?

No L lenses. This will be an ancillary price of kit. So I won't spend more than 300$.

With photo ending and sharpening technology it doesn't need to be the sharpest in the world. Just sharp enough.

Full frame for r8
