My mom seemed happy when I miscarried

It almost feels like my mom doesn't want me to have more kids sometimes. I'm 24 and I have a toddler, she loves him but when I first told her that I was pregnant with him she was not happy and asked me why I was throwing my life away.

I had a miscarriage a few months ago, I told her because I was sad and was looking for comfort. Big mistake. She sounded relieved and told me that it was the best outcome. Ouch.

Recently she's been heavily pushing me to go on birth control. My husband and I want to have more kids, we're thinking about waiting a bit but he's already almost 40. My mom told me that if I have another baby now it wouldn't be fair to my 19 month old toddler. Which doesn't make much sense to me because her first 2 kids (me and my sister) are only 20 months apart?

She's also made comments before about how I'm lucky to have 1 kid (which is true, I'm so lucky to have my toddler) and said that that's more than many people have. It kinda felt like she was lowkey shaming me for wanting to have more kids? Which is weird because she has 4 kids.

I'm not financially dependent on her btw, I don't ask her for any money or help, she lives across the country from me, and the only times she's ever babysat is when she's offered to herself.

Idk why she's like this to me. Why would a mother not want to be a grandmother? She loves my toddler so I don't get it. My husband thinks she's trying to control me. I think maybe she thinks I'm a bad mom or something (even though she always tells me that I'm a good mom) because nothing else really makes much sense?

**TLDR:** My mom has been saying a lot of hurtful things towards me lately about me wanting to have more kids.

Men claim being a stay at home parent is easy and that they don't know what women are complaining about

No shit it's easier when you're not pregnant, recovering from childbirth, dealing with crazy hormone shifts, PPD, breastfeeding and pumping, and ignore your kids to play videogames lol

Movie theaters you can bring your baby/ toddler to?

We don't want to disrupt anybody, I've heard that some movie theaters offer sceeenings you can bring your babies and toddlers to, but online it's really confusing trying to figure it out. Does anybody know any theaters nearby that offer baby friendly screening hours or days?

Is it possible to co sleep but to get toddler to nap in his own room in his crib?

I love co sleeping with my 18 month old, we started co sleeping just before he turned a year old and we've been co sleeping ever since. I don't want to stop cosleeping with him at night, but I would like him to nap on his own sometimes. He will scream and cry when I put him in his pack and play for a nap, or if I wait for him to fall asleep and then transfer him he will usually wake up and scream. I feel bad letting him scream because he sounds so distressed, the last time I let him scream he got so upset that he threw up.

So he naps in the bed with me or on me, but then I can't get up and do any chores while he naps. My mom tells me that if I want him to nap on his own I'll probably have to stop breastfeeding him and co sleeping with him and that I'll probably have to sleep train him, but I don't want to have to give up breastfeeding and co sleeping with him if I don't have to. I guess I was wondering if anybody here has a young toddler who they co sleep with at night but who can nap independently?

Walmart birthday cake

My birthday was about 1.5 months ago but my birthday cake was amazing for the price! It was so pretty and it was a good size and it tasted pretty good too and the best part is that it was only like $30!

This feels so fucking unfair

Been dealing with secondary infertility for well over a year now, finally got a postive pregnancy test a couple of months ago but I had a chemical pregnancy. Then my husband hurt his back so we haven't had sex since then, and now a few days ago my appendix ruptured and I had to get surgery. Now I'm reading all this stuff about how a ruptured appendix can cause PID and can increase your risk of ectopic pregnancy and can cause a bunch of scarring. I can't stop crying, I want to have another baby so bad and I was feeling so hopeful recently because my husband's back was finally healing but now this. Now idek if I can even get pregnant again at all.

Got called "immature" and "psychotic" for saying that I want to have a bunch of kids

I replied to a post in a different subreddit saying that I love being a mom and that I want to have a bunch more kids. Somebody replied and called me psychotic for wanting to be pregnant so many times. I told them that I love being pregnant and I love being a mom. They tell me that pregnancy and parenthood is hard and not like how it is on instagram. I was like yeah I know, I have a child, thank you for doing the equivalent of mansplaining but towards parents to me lol. They said that I'm immature for thinking that pregnancy and parenthood is fun. This was in a sub geared towards younger people but not really political or anything. Idk it was kinda a bizzare interaction. I guess that person thinks having kids is miserable but I've genuinely had so much fun since becoming a mom! It's definitely hard at times but its so rewarding and worth it and I hope to have the privlege of having many more children to give birth to and raise and take care of and love!

Got permabanned from the natalism sub because I posted that women deserve basic rights lol

I'm all for making it easier for people who want to have kids to have kids, but after reading through the posts and comments in that sub I noticed that a fair amount of people in that sub are literally advocating to strip women of their rights. I'm not even referring to just banning abortion, there were literally people there saying that women should be forcibly impregnated and that there should be a version of the draft for women where they're all forced to have kids.

So I posted hey guys, as a woman who wants to have more kids, y'all who are advocating for taking away women's rights aren't convincing more women to agree with you you're probably pushing more women away, here are some ways to increase the birth rate that don't involve stripping away the rights of half of the population.

And then the mod permabanned me! When there are people in that sub openly talking about how women should be raped and how we don't deserve any rights! No wonder the birthrates are collapsing lol you dipshits aren't exactly helping your case 😂

Told my mom I had a miscarriage today and she berated me for having sex

Idk if this is appropriate for this sub but I wanted to vent. Today I found out I was pregnant and then that I probably had a miscarriage, it was kinda some emotional whiplash and I don't really have any friends to talk to so I called my mom because I was feeling really sad and lonely and confused. I guess I was looking for her to offer some advice and comfort and maybe explanation?

Instead she got mad at me for having unprotected sex with my husband. I'm 24 years old and we're married and we have a toddler together and are financially stable and are currently moving into a 4 bedroom house btw. She started pushing birth control and was acting like me having a baby right now would be so bad. Not what I wanted to hear while I'm actively miscarrying lol. We're not trying for a baby right now and we're usually pretty careful but we hadn't seen each other in a month and it was the middle of the night and I was close to my period so we had sex knowing that pregnancy at that time was unlikely but possible. We're a married couple and we do want to have more kids. But it's like she still thinks I'm 16 or something.

Weird bleeding, haven't had sex in over a month

On my way to the ER right now and I'm freaking out. I'd love to have another baby but a line this faint when the last time I had sex was over a month ago isn't a good sign right? I've also had 2 periods since then that were only about 1.5 weeks apart with light bleeding inbetween. I wrote it off as an odd cycle because I'm still breastfeeding my 17 month old. My sense of smell has been crazy lately also but I haven't felt nauseous like I did with my first pregnancy. I've also had some sharp abdominal cramping. I'm freaking out right now I'm so worried.

EDIT: Went to ER, they did some tests and ruled out ectopic pregnancy, they didn't see a baby either though and the last time I had sex was May 6th and my hcg was 28 so they think miscarriage is the most likely explanation.

Man calls women who give birth in hospital "frail and soft"

For context he was bragging about how superior his wife is for having an unmedicated home birth. The amount of willpower it took me not to blast this loser all over my Facebook for his fucking audacity lol
