
Italian Vegan Population Reaches Record High of 3.2% According to Latest Survey | Vegan FTA
The latest Eurispes 2026 report reveals that the vegan population in Italy has reached a record high of 3.2%, up from 2.9% in 2025. This figure represents the highest reading in the entire Eurispes time series, showing a fivefold increase since 2014 when vegans accounted for only 0.6% of the Italian population. Meanwhile, the proportion of vegetarians dropped from 6.6% to 5.3%, causing the combined percentage of vegetarians and vegans to decrease from 9.5% to 8.5%.
