Flat spot improvement?

My little one had a right side preference from birth which meant he developed a flat spot on the right. After a few osteopath visits at 5 months, he began moving his head both sides and is now much more mobile and is sitting. He is 7 1/2 months old. When I look at his head side on from the left or right, it looks a nice shape but from the top (eagle view) I see that the right is still a little flatter than the left. Everywhere I read online tells me this will round out itself as baby grows, but I worry I’ve ruined his head shape by not acting sooner. Can anyone share their experience of how true it is that the head will eventually round itself out from a flat spot?

7.5m gets stuck at night?

My 7.5m old sleeps in our room, in his own cot. We wanted to ship him out at 5 months but… even though he sleeps through the night, he always gets stuck leading to night wakes. It doesn’t happen always but last night, it continued for 2 hours. He’d go onto his belly, sleep, want to turn but couldn’t and then cry for help. He can roll back to tummy but for some reason in his cot, he can’t roll tummy to back yet but he does on our bed. His cot is massive, it’s those transitional ones which turn into beds.

Is it the sleep bag restricting his movement? I love the sleeping bag as blankets give me anxiety.

Anyone else been in a similar?

Today I had my second barth cyst / abscess

After managing to avoid them for my whole adult life! What? Why?

I’ve read on a few posts that probiotics are good to help reoccurrence, has anyone tried this?

How do I not drive myself crazy with solids and milk intake?

My baby is 7.5 months old, currently tracking 20-25th centile, following his curve.

He’s on 3 meals a day, no snacks and formula fed.

He’s never been a milk guzzler but getting him to drink has always been a challenge.

Before solids he was about 25-28oz. Now he’s about 20-25oz. I’ve been tracking his intake since Day 1.

Everywhere I read it tells me 600ML is a minimum intake and all the usual stuff of nappies, happy baby etc which my baby is all of. I still however can’t move away from numbers and constantly panic that he’s not drinking enough formula.

I think maybe it’s time I stop tracking his formula tbh because it’s really feeding my anxiety but even the idea of stopping after 7m panics me because how else am I confidently meant to know how much he’s taking in!?

Can you recommend a workout app…

which shows trends of lifts and is on the App Store?

I currently use Gymshark and while I like it, I can’t see my progress on lifts in a visual way which I’d like.

Help curate my skincare routine!

I’m 33, have I believe combo skin and fungal acne (managed and kept at bay). I use sulfur soap once a week.

Everyday I use -
Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser
Curel water essence
Purito oat in gel cream

My skin loves these products and has reacted very well but sometimes I feel I need a serum or something for extra hydration. I tried incorporating hyaluronic acid but it was too much for my skin and I broke out.

Any suggestions?

I’ve now done 3/3 sessions, I prefer pull, legs, push as it’s easier to manage across 3. Honestly, it’s not been as bad as I thought. My core has responded very well, no issues. The weights I was doing, I’ve been able to go heavier without any issues as well as some of the weights really just felt light with no resistance. What I’d like help with now is for you guys to critique my workout plan. My overall aim is fat loss as well as strength / muscle definition.

I like these exercises the most but I need help to work out whether I’m making the best use of time.

PUSH
dumbbell chest press incline bench OR chest press machine
Seated shoulder press machine wide grip
Seated lateral raise machine
Superset: plate front raise & straight bar Tricep push down
Machine assisted Tricep dip

PULL
Underarm high row
Cable seated row wide grip
Medium grip lat pulldown mag handle
Superset: seated cable row + cable face pulls
EZ Bar Bicep curls

LEG
Superset - hip abduction + dumbbell sumo squat + Hip adduction
RDL
Leg extension
Leg curl
Leg press

My baby is a week over 7m and for a few weeks I’ve been seeing a pattern where he’s showing me sleepy cues at set times rather than after wake windows.

For example if he wakes at 6, a 2.5 hour wake window would mean he’s ready for a nap by 08:30am

However today he woke at 7 and was ready for a nap at 08:30am again when it should have been 09:30

I’ve noticed this on a couple of occasions

Is it possible we’re moving to set times instead? How do I manage this if so?

It’s very regular pattern of 08:30am, then 12:30pm and then 4pm (I’m hoping this last nap will go soon).

As the question says, we’re a car illiterate couple and we want to buy a used car. We have a budget of about £10k, would like an SUV style for a growing family and it be automatic, reliable with a few nice features and not too old. We don’t know where to start, what to look for when viewing/ negotiating or anything. Do you have any tips / advice so we don’t get fleeced? And do you have a recommendation for a car make/model?

Today was meant to be my first gym session 7 months post partum and a year off so total of 12 months since I’ve had a workout. I know I need to be kind to myself but reality really hit me this morning when I thought it was as simple as throwing an outfit on and going (like I used to). No. My son didn’t want to eat his breakfast, then had a massive meltdown before his first nap. House needed a tidy. Washing machine on. My childcare (mum lives with us) ended up having a morning nap too. Just nothing lined up in order for me to go. I feel upset because this is the first sort of realisation that my old life, times etc are no more. I’m a mum. With my own responsibilities.

Any tips from you guys to get to the gym?
