In my opinion: EPFC is easier then EP

For some reason the missions are easier and there's more ways to victory.

Take: The deposit, in the Entry point there was only 1 way to beat it on quiet and 2 on loud, but now there are multiple progression methods, like using the fire escape. Also you don't need to find Deposit box nor need a keycard at Recruit. Or Lake house, which hilariously easy compared to Entry point 2017 where you only have to grab 2 servers instead of 6 on loud or Withdraw where you only have to grab 2 money bags compared to 6. Hell even Scientist is easier as not everyone can detect you plus the map is more open.

Plus detection system feels easier on recruit on Freelancers cut compared to Entry point 2017. You actually have time to react after they sound the alarm, instead just getting shot at or them running away and not everyone detects you.

Also you can disable Radios and with at least 1 level of social engineering an extra one and 2, I believe up to 5.

Also the skills system is been overhauled with the ability to now remove them at will without needing to respec and being able to change your core skill. Plus there's now combat training and getting equipment is easier

Speaking of that; you don't need to waste as many precious skill points to unlock certain items/the ability to use them. Also the items in the game are really good compared to Entry point. Plus most EP items are available in FC. Except Blowtorch, which kinda got replaced by Saw and Screwdriver. Also there's a Brick in Freelancers cut so yea.

But: I do think there are a few aspects that make it harder: Trespassing detection, instead of just stopping at 1.75 bars? It goes all the way until full and ripping doors down in harder as you can't pick or drill on the ground, plus armor is worse in FC as there isn't any Aegis.

I did it. The new longest route in BR

From Pencern-Stonebrook Town

At approximately 37.6 Miles it is the new longest route in BR

Beating the last one Fyare-Stonebrook Town post 1.4 by 8 miles.

It took me about an hour and 8 minutes to complete.

For reference it took about 25 minutes for me to leave the island and enter the mainland.

In the other one I would've been at least at, Fortis Green at that point.

Here's how it went

I spawned at the Short Rock and had to wait for a 221 to leave Pencern which took 5 minutes, then after leaving Pencern I had a mini heart attack when a 230 also going to Stonebrook town but, by some miracle of god I over took it.

After leaving Lanlowen, you enter the single track bridge to the mainland which some idiot sat for a solid 3 minutes. This schmuck proceeded to get ghosted and I was able to pass. After some time the 230 disappeared.

Because I was driving the 170(the best), no one knew that the Guard had to open doors as most trains the driver does it. So I ended up kicking 2 Guards until someone actually knew.

There was surprising no Hiccups after entering the Mainland and I was able to drive with little interruption from Mill Bridge to Stonebrook town, making up all the lost time.

Over all I rate the new extension a 9/10, it would be a 10 if that Bridge wasn't single tracked.

Whoever makes the next moded campaign will be next big modder

Moded campaigns have been hyped up for a while now and is the newest mod category besides the Bepinex plugins. I think it will most likely not be sofa as he is doing other stuff, but maybe Jello or a big map maker will be the first.

What’s the best simple mod?

A mod that doesn’t add much, maybe a 2-3 weapons or vehicles or a mutator that doesn’t massively affect gameplay for your clankers.

I have 3 in

  1. LeMieux’s suppression mod: it makes a fire fight way more immersive and actually a challenge instead of just pointing gun and living.

  2. Charlie’s FNX-45: a solid mod that gives a great little gun that is my go to side arm.

3: Combat lifesaver: yes this does affect gameplay play more but, I just love it as, it brings a new level of depth to combat letting you respawn right were you were with the help of your comrades.

Considering an egpu, help?

Unfortunately I do not make money or control much of my finances. I am considering for my dell insprion 14 with an I7 155h and 16gb 6400 ram. I don't have an dgpu and rely on my igpu which isn't cutting it. I plan to get a raedon rx9060xt with 16gb of gddr6 vram. As this'll last me a while, into my next 1 or 2 amd laptops.

I plan to get a aoostar ag03 cage which will fit perfectly on my desk as well as coming with an 800watt PSU, I plan on using thunderbolt 4 and in the future 5. I don't care about the bit of latency as all I play is KSP, Ravenfield, and some other low intensity games. I do live in a city with power flickers, will this be a concern? I'm a little concerned about if it could crash my laptop.

Since this will ocosionaly be moved around, should I disable Igpu in BIOS or in device manager?

Overall this'll run me between 650-750 dollars total for a:

90 watt dell laptop charger (barrel plug as I only have in usbc port) $25usd

Raedon 9060xt 16gb $350-450

Aoostar Ag03 $275

this is way cheaper than getting a new laptop or a pc. Tbh I haven't even let this thing breathe as it's getting chocked on every time I run a game. Pls help

What would be in the Framework 16 gen3?

Currently the 16 has some good specs,

Ryzen Ai 300 series

Dgpu of the Raedon 7700s or RTX5070, expansion bay, expansion with M.2280 slots, or occulink.

ddr5 ram + gen4 nvme

I think the next one would have these specs.

Ofc Amd>Intel as I don't think the 16 would be easy to market to the long battery life people due to the size and weight of it as well as the, the fact the 13/13 pro exists.

Cpu: I think it would have this gen(2)'s chips as they did with gen1. With a discount

Since we don't know much about what AMD is cooking up with the next set of chips, so I'm gonna say these chips that will be placed into the gen 3 16, will be equivalent of these 2 chips the Ryzen 9 9850HX and 9955HX3D. Which I do know they drink juice. With a higher TDP than the AI 300. My solution besides slowing the chips down is, change the power outlet to another delivery system. I'm thinking the XT30 plug which is used in RC and Drones. As it can draw up to 30A/500V DC, continuously. Which is wayy more than needed or the best USBC. So it could be pushed up to 320-350 watts at 5 amps. (Which is what the existing 16 charger runs at)

GPU

I really don't know what could be done. I don't think anything but a refresh of the 5070 and 7700s with better fans and cooling systems. I highly doubt something like the Raedon 7800M could ever work in this without the XT30.

Expansion bay

I would like to keep the 3 other options and have it so the bay with the 2 m.2280 slots support gen5 speeds.

Ram/SSD

Maybe Gen5 SSDs like the 9100.

Ram: csodimm, it's soddim that can run faster up to 6400 Mt/s without the need to solder. Also AMD EXPO pls.

Os

Ubuntu certification

Battery

maybe get a large upgrade if to use XT30 as it needs to able to handle the new voltages

if not, a small upgrade would be nice

What's your broken Pokémon?

Do you have any Pokémon that are so good, they can solo some insane rounds.

For me I have 2

Relicanth

With Rock Head and Primordial sea as abilities

Liquidation, Aqua Tail, Dive, or Wave crash

Shore up

Head Smash

Double Edge

Lanturn

With Illuminate

Tail Glow

Bubble Beam (would've gotten something better)

Discharge

Thunder Clap

What do you think of my Framework 16 build?

If you're wondering about Ram/SSD/OS. I'll be buying them on the side

Ram/SSD from Ebay

OS: some OEM key or clone my current drive.

That will add about, 400-450

I will be selling my old laptop for the price of my Ram/SSD/OS.

The current issue is, the lack of Ram as 16gb doesn't work for me and the lack of dedicated graphics

u/Fine-Set-7877 — 2 months ago

This game needs to be optimized.

Even a “normal” game of ravenfield will still struggle to get over 24 FPS, even with under 200 total bots.

They need to do this as the game the way most of us play it (50-120 mods), is such a pain. As I can get maybe 5-20FPS on high. With a laptop with an I7 155H, Igpu, and 16gb of Ram

Next gen framework 12?

This is just specs.

The current one has a cpu of an I3 1315u or I5 1334u

Ram up to 48gb ddr5 at 5200 and SSD up to 2tb of M.2230 NVME

50wh Battery with 60 watt charging.

2k 60hz display

Since it was released last year. I think it'll come in mid 2027- early 2028

Since the cpu came out 3 years ago, it'll be replaced by intel ultra gen 2 chips.

I think the ultra 5 235H and ultra 7 265h which all have a base wattage of 28W which about double last gen as well as a 115 or so max pull. Which I feel is a small concern but, the people using these things won't be doing heavy gaming or any task that usage lots of power.

Ram, since these processors can actually support the magical number of mega transfers known as 5600. It'll be the ram options as they give you the ability to buy 5600mt ram already.

SSD. Since this a compact machine I won't be changing anything with storage as, I don't know how they'll approach it or have a solution.

Display, I would keep the 2k display but bump the hz to between 90 and 120 hz.

OS: Ubuntu certification

Battery: I don't know if they can make a bigger battery without breaking the laws of the universe so keep the 50wh or maybe increase it a little, idk.

I would up the charger from 60 watts GAN to 80-100 watts GAN. Just take the One Plus 15 charger.

why does bloxburg have such small servers?

One server holds 12 people. That's nothing especially as this is an RP type game. Brookhaven has 18, Barry Ave has 30, and life together has 28. Why so smol? I think it should be at least 30-50 players per server. It's an RP game and there are things to do. I mean when SCR increaed server size from 30 to 100 it was crazy but this is not a train game. I know it can only take 12 homes due to server limits but, just have apartments. The first idk 20-30 people to join a server get a plot and people can waitlist for one. After that build apartments in center city and complexes in the neighborhood districts as well as increase the number of plots.

bloxy arces: 8 house complex and 8 plots

riverside estates: 6 house complex and 4 plots

sunset pointe: 6 house complex and 2 plots

lakeview heights: 4 plots

bloxburg proper: 20 room apartment with 6 floors and 1 basement

B: laundry room

1: reception and 2 rooms

2: gym and 2 rooms

3: restaurant(job)

4: 6 rooms

5: 6 rooms

6: 4 rooms and rec room.

Optimization: if the game isn't optimized yet (probably isn't) than it should be as this is the way it will be able to run smoother and have more people in a server. For example: when no players are in a certain area some assets will have quality downgraded, locked in place, uninterruptable, or just disappear.

To the people who owned the first gen framework 13(2021) how is upgrading it?

the initial 13 had the 11th gen intel chips, DDR4 Ram, a 60hz display, and M.2 storage.

How is the process of upgrading it to the newer chips and DDR5 ram? Is it hard?

Also if I do get a framework where should I build it? If my desk is too crowded

What could a 16 gen 3 look like/contain

I think Gen 3 will either be like Gen 3 13's with regular and pro or just regular.

Specs

CPU

It'll probably have Ryzen AI max which is the Amd's top of line chips. The 9000 series would probably draw too much power. If it was pro/reg spilt than this would be the pro version and the 8000 series would be regular as it's weaker and draws less power .

GPU

The 16 has a removeable graphics card/expansion bay. Last gen (gen 2) they introduced an RTX-5070 with 8 and 12gb plus, a refresh Radeon 7700s (better cooling and sound)

I think they'll refresh the 5070 and give it the same face lift and probably give the 7700s third facelift with further improved cooling and noise reduction

Ram (did you think anything would change with the current ram prices?)

Storage (nothing did you expect something?)

OS maybe get Ubuntu Certified?

Expansion cards: Maybe a new one.

Power supply 240 watts with usbc. I highly doubt they would want to use barrel plugs

Price base 1200-1300 mid to late 2027

I’m on Keto but high protein for the next 6 weeks tips?

I have to go on Keto as my doctor ordered it as my triglycerides are extremely high and need to go down to under 150.

I haven’t been eating any grains or starches. I have an even coming up with foods that have carbs, I’m planing on getting a single waffle and 4 tacos, is it gonna have too much impact or I will be fine?

I’m still trying to enjoy something through my misery and if this meal helps me should I eat it? Also any food recs that would be good?

I’m currently eating meat (beef, pork, chicken), eggs, milk, some veggies (onions, carrots, German turnip, Napa cabbage, bok choy, and Brussel sprouts), Cauliflower rice, Berries, zero calorie drinks, protein shakes, Greek yogurt, and sometimes Tofu, beans/meat alternatives

Hello Humans should I wait until ram goes down or should I buy now

I really want the framework 16 for 2 reasons

  1. I want to be apart of the new age of repairability and modularity no matter how chessy that sounds.

  2. I want something that will last me 10+ years and be built like a tank

By looking at the date of the announcement of gen 1 and 2 of the 16, I can predict that gen 3 will be announced sometime between May and July of 2027 and ram is expceted to go down before late 2027, I want to ask yall if I should wait and hold on to my laptop which has

Cpu Ultra 7 155h with Arc graphics (intagrated)

Ram 16gb DDR5 6400

1tb storage
