"Who's This Floyd, and Why Are They Pink?" ~DnD Gods

In DnD lore, atheists are put in this thing called "Wall of the Faithless"

How Powerful IS Bluto, Anyway?

Yeah, it's usually a fool's errant to ask about the strength of a CARTOON CHARACTER, but here's the thing. Everyone talks about how powerful POPEYE is, what with him surviving the universe's Jeep-esque overarching god turning the universe off and Popeye himself breaking the universe himself while fighting against Native Americans... But Bluto?

Typically in the old Paramount cartoons, any competition between Bluto and Popeye is a competition between someone who's normally strong and someone who's cartoonishly strong respectively. Of course Bluto had always been able to exploit the fact that, without Popeye's spinach, Popeye is basically a glass cannon, but otherwise, he's usually about what you'd expect from someone with superhuman strength. I believe there was even a cartoon where Bluto masqueraded as Superman, where they were basically straight-up like "yeah, Bluto wouldn't have been as strong as Superman anyway..." Of course at the time, the only frames of reference they had were the 1940s Superman theatrical cartoons and the Golden Age comics, so uh, I dunno.

Maybe it'd be more fair to compare Bluto to Superfriends Superman, who's pretty much the most entry-level version of Superman you can get... I dunno. How strong is Bluto anyway?

ELI5: Why Do American Restaurants Call Coleslaw (A Goop) a Side Dish?

I don't get it. A lot of places like KFC and even greasy spoons like the fish restaurant I ate from are insistent in calling coleslaw a side dish... Yet, equally goopy stuff like barbecue sauce and honey mustard and more "solid" stuff like Americanized wasabi (which is a green horseradish paste) are called "condiments." Why is that?

How Low IS Aqua's Luck Stat, Exactly?

I mean, out of all her stats, the only ones that aren't maxed are Intelligence (because she is the exact kind of stupid that gets argumentative) and Luck. Apparently Aqua's luck is so bad that it is the antithesis of Kazuma's luck, which is second only to the literal goddess of luck herself. Just how BAD is it?

Had Lucoa Ever Brought Up the Aztecs'... Questionable Customs?

Mainly asking considering how long the manga went on for and Lucoa is the freaking Feathered Serpent itself. I mean Quetzalcoatl was a deity that the Aztec pulled people's hearts out for among others.

Why Are Iz's Stats The Way They Are?

Now that I think about it, I noticed that Iz assigned a few points into strength and vitality, both which are predominantly combat stats while Dexterity had more practical use given it increases success rates of her crafts. Her Volume 10 stats back when she was... Half that level are arranged as follows: Lv 68, HP 100/100, MP 100/100, STR 45, VIT 20, AGI 80, DEX 210, INT 20

Why the odd stat-spread for who is more or less intended to be a non-combat character with a support role?

But Where Do They Go? They're Stinking Up the Place!

I cherry-picked "killing game" media for this.

Yeah, mainly bringing this up because these two are among the dumbest anime girls I can think of, or at the very least their "highlights" don't exactly paint a very good picture of them. Now, don't get me wrong; Maple would never have done any of the unorthodox stuff she did if her brain had more wrinkles than it did... But at the same time, Lindsay from Total Drama sculpted the Thinker in one episode yet she's typically dumb enough to make one wonder how she manages to still live. Yeah, Maple's "highlights" include the following...

  • Deciding to randomly sleep in the middle of a forest where everything and their mother has smoke with her.
  • Eating a poisonous ass dragon (you can defend that with a health potion supply all you want; I don't care, but any animal worth their salt would look at the warning coloration of poison dart frogs and think "Don't eat that!")
  • Forgot how dodgeball was supposed to work after a couple sessions of NWO (dunno how many to be exact)
  • Eating freaking bombs! Like, don't do that!
  • Eating a cloud for... Legitimately, she had no reason to do that. Yes, that was in Season 2.

When I brought it up when making a homebrew monster stat block for Maple, one person commented on the bomb thing with the following:

"Given that even an animal knows to not eat obviously-harmful things (like brightly-colored frogs and snakes), I think the Wisdom of someone who eats explosives would be low enough that only divine providence has kept them alive in spite of their vestigial self-preservation instinct"

Then there's the other girl I put up: Debby. Debby is canonically likened to dogs and children in the manga "Debby the Corsifa is Emulous". But at the same time, Debby's "highlights" are just as low as Maple's, like...

Normally halfwits in any fictional media have something decently smart to make up for it, but uhh... Debby's intelligence is outright implied to be 0: https://i.imgur.com/n8Xv4ee.png

Which... To be fair, Maple's Intelligence is also 0, but in Maple's case, usually the video game stat of Intelligence is the magic stat, like Special Attack in the Pokemon franchise, not an actual measure of intelligence.

But yeah, who exactly is worse in the brains department? Maple or Debby?

So I was looking at Maple's Vitality and the last rating posted was also present at the end of Season 1: https://bofuri.fandom.com/wiki/Maple#History

Apparently Chapter 191 posted up a rating of 12180; yet in the Trivia section, the 10th volume puts it at 16170. >!Supposedly the web novel ended with Maple basically becoming invulnerable, but the Wiki article didn't explain how.!<

Did Maple's Vitality ever get posted up further than these, or did they pretty much give up on that once it entered five digits?
