It's kind of funny to me how weird Bob and Wades actual first names sound when you say them like that, somehow it just has a completely different energy.
Mark doesn't really have an equivalent of this unless he went by his middle name Edward like Wade does
I think this is such a weird detail, every appearance of FRIEND in chapter 3 has its name censored to ___ literally every one, both the board versions and the huge one in Ralseis monologue, its not just the sprites either, the objects in the code are also censored like this.
This is only done in chapter 3, none of the other chapters do this at all (the W in the chapter 4 sprite name is because the sprite is normally blacked out so there are two versions)
Chapter 3 is the chapter with the most FRIEND interactions by far, heck its the moment we get a mandatory appearance from them in a major cutscene and they are an actual enemy in the mantle fight.
I'm curious about exactly which prophecy panels do and don't appear in this scene in chapter 4 when you first enter the third sanctuary, but I don't know how to check which sprites are called exactly
I'm not a coder really so maybe this means nothing but I was curious if this does actually appear anywhere else?
For anyone who doesn't know this mod displays what fish are available to catch in a given area at a given time and its really helpful for not needing to check the wiki when you're not sure what fish you can catch. It also adds a lot of life to the waters of the valley and (at least to me) makes fishing much more enjoyable.
I was just wondering if there's any reason something like this couldn't exist in the vanilla game.
No matter what route you do Tenna does get cleaved by the knight, so it seems like it really is inevitable, but something really important people seem to completely ignore is that you CAN save Tenna even after he's been cleaved if you've been kind enough and recruited the right people.
Ralsei says that he thought by being kind enough we could change the prophecy, but thinks we failed because the actual words haven't changed, but the outcome did change!
If we recruit Pippins and Shadowguy they help Susie fix Tenna, I think this is a really important detail that people overlook, just because the event was the same doesn't mean it has to end the same way.
Toby has been very clear since day 1 that Deltarune will have one ending, and (weird route aside because that seems to be something else entirely) this seems like its setting up a very tragic story since the final prophecy seems deeply traumatic to Susie But even if the "ending" is broadly the same no matter what we do, doesn't mean the details can't change, there is wiggle room between panels and that’s where change can be made.
Gerson literally spells this out for us, if we focus too much on the prophecy itself we loose sight of all the spaces where actually can move freely.
I think the fandom as a whole has really fallen into the exact trap Gerson warned Susie about, believing that the prophecy itself is the most important thing and that the ending matters more then the story. Acting like nothing we do will matter if we don't change the prophecy, this is the mentality that leads to the weird route, desperation to pursue freedom even at the cost of hurting the people closest too you and ignoring all the little moments where you can truly make a difference in favour of destroying the system as a whole.
This isn't about whether or not trans Ralsei is cannon or not (Personally I think its the most likely outcome and I'm all for it), this is about the weird amount of people saying Ralsei might be The Girl in the prophecy as some kind of triumphant ending to their character arc and this makes me so mad.
Ralsei's whole existence has defined by the prophecy, and their entire character arc so far has been them learning to value themselves and their own wants over what others or fate want for them, its literally the whole arc this past chapter. The idea that they have to be a prince because the prophecy calls for one and that it'll be ok for them to be trans only if the prophecy actually predicted it instead of it being as a mark of their independence and ability to choose who they want to be for themselves is painfully against the entire theme of Deltaurne.
It removes all agency from Ralsei and makes what should be an proud moment of choosing who you really are over who you've been told you must be into a "You have no say and were always going to obey fate no matter what you do". If this does turn out to be true it should be a horrible moment of how inevitable the prophecy is and not a triumph for trans rights.
There are many many reasons this doesn't make sense from a lore perspective but even ignoring that it just destroys the narrative completely.
(using they/them for Ralsei as these are the last pronouns they are referred to by but no issue with anyone using different ones)

I just think it must have been a crazy mix of emotions from Vader/Anakin, like "Is he dead? I'm pretty sure I stabbed him, but I still feel his presence in the force. Did he teleport somehow? Why are his robes still here, is he just naked somewhere? wtf???"
He had to deal with Luke and the others but I bet that afterwards he spent ages trying to figure out what just happened.
I thought the whole argument about killing vs no-killing was really overblown (it still kind of is by some people) but after actually playing for a while I do really miss the feeling of being able to defend myself.
I understand making giant or heavily armoured creatures invincible but the mid sized ones are just so annoying
I'm currently playing an Orc character in the cult of Trinimac so I, of course, hate Boethiah and want to do anything I can to thwart them at every turn. Is there anything I can do to directly offend them as much as possible? Currently I'm thinking of just deicrating their shrine and putting the ebony blade at Malacaths shrine as an offering.
Chakram are one of my favourite ancient weapons that are almost never talked about.
I wanted to share this because I have seen so many people who talk about the Chakram saying that is was impractical on the battle field or exagerated in stories but this video shows how dangerous they could really be.
He even used the traditional Tagani throwing technique, where you throw it after spining it on one finger, so many people claimed that this technique was just used for intimidation and wasn't possible in actualy combat, but he found it actually can give more power then traditional throwing but is just much harder to master.
I was rewatching the fight between Savage, Ventress and Dooku and I notived how when Savage loses control he was powerful enough to fling both of them around like nothing to the and even managed to make Dooku choose to leave rather then keep fighting.
I'm not saying he's anywhere near as strong as Dooku on the whole, but it's clear that he can tap into some very deep reserves of power when he's angry enough, likely because of how he was created. It's also very impressive how much force lighting he was able to tank and still get up and keep fighting.
I think that the main thing holding him back was the fact that he isn't naturally evil, his connection to the darkside is forced (heh heh) on him so he can only tap into his rage when he is pushed by excrutiating pain. He is also very inexperienced and has poor technique with a saber since he barely got any training before getting double betrayed. considering all that It's pretty crazy that he was trading blows with jedi masters and fighting along side Maul pretty well.
Unfortunately he was put up against the strongest person in the universe and never got a chance to grow.
